We had been wanting to try eating here ever since we moved here 9 months ago, and finally remembered to make a reservation last night. There were 3 of us, we got there about 15 minutes early and they seated us right away. (Yay!)The sourdough bread was served to us piping hot and delicious! We all loved our dishes - they were all very tasty. Portions were generous without being huge. We split a slice of the 6-layer chocolate cake, which was terrific - not too sweet, but rich and chocolatey.We talked to the GM for a while and loved being able to support a local establishment. It was nice talking with him!
Have been coming to this restaurant since we moved into town about one year ago. What started out as a great experience has unfortunately become, a fair experience. Calamari has gone down the tubes. Tough and either over fried or undercooked. Pizza is ok. Signature Eggplant Parmigiana is only fair, lacking in taste. Meatball app was good.They really need to crank up their wine list.Poor choice of white Chardonnay, same ole reds.. come on guys, so many good wines out there! It could really be a nice place.
Ashley did a great job - she was very attentive, made some great suggestions. All of us enjoyed our meals and the servings were generous. We all love your sourdough bread.
Get there early, gets crowded, food was fantastic, server was Jonathan who did an excellent job, friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable, will definitely go back again..... after making a reservation.

I frequently come here as the food is amazing. If you want to eat here however I would recommend coming two hours earlier than scheduled, absolutely love the food however a website and a phone call (on the day our party planned to go in) could not give us accurate restaurant hours. Our party got to the restaurant an hour before closing but we were told that the restaurant was already closed after calling prior a few hours before driving over.
My husband and I have been searching for good Italian food in the area for quite a while and this place did not disappoint! Everything was hot and delicious! The host and server were great too! So happy to have finally found a great restaurant with excellent service! We will definitely be back!
Had an outstanding experience at W+W. The staff was great to work with and very helpful. You know its real Italian by the bread...crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The pasta cut like butter, and I loved my sacchetti. It had just a nice kick to it, but it wasnt what Id consider spicy. The pizza was a great option as well. Well be back!
I just order from there using Uber eats and I got the shrimp scampi! It was so delish! I can’t wait to go to the restaurant and try more dishes! Definitely recommend this place!
Honestly it’s amazing how you guys bring home cooking with the same quality even for delivery through third party apps. The spaghetti was phenomenal and the salad was fresh and the bread was tasty. The first time visiting Florida with my grandparents we ate in house and I had some of the best authentic Italian food I’ve ever had. Would highly recommend to others as the prices are quite reasonable for the quality.
My favorite dish here is the chicken Brian! Great Italian food all around and great atmosphere. Really enjoying the new choice in paint and uniform colors.

We have been saying we would visit this restaurant ever since it opened but its not in our normal dining out radius. We are now exploring all the places we have said we wanted to visit and were not disappointed at all! We got to the restaurant at about 7:00 on a Saturday and had to wait for just a bit for a table. We found that they take reservations so well probably do that next time to be safe. We had 3 in our party and we each loved our food. They have great bread to snack on while waiting for the real food. We had an appetizer of the risotto bites that was a perfect size for the 3 of us to share and not get too full for dinner. Our food was wonderful and our server was amazing. She knew everything about the menu and did everything she should to gently upsell but not be a jerk about it either. Well done. We will definitely be back.
Definitely a place to eat for locals, the restaurant name drew me in. Calamari 🌟 you could tell it was fresh! Try the risotto balls! Yum. I had a play on shrimp scampi with linguini noodles, not bad. Great wine selection by the glass. Definitely get the tiramisu for dessert! If I were to come back for a dish the chicken prosciutto hands down!!
My favorite Italian restaurant. The food is always perfect and the drinks are well made. Service has always been excellent. Even with the great food, the biggest draw for me is the authentic San Francisco sour dough bread. Cant eat this kind of food too often, but when I cheat on my diet, this is the go-to place.
Restaurant was short staffed and was forced to remove the pizzas from their menu. However, the Lobster Ravioli was very good.
Wheat + Water is by far one of the best restaurants Ive ever been to. The service by bv everyone in the dinning room and bar was great. The food is to die for, seriously. I may be a little biased because my fiance used to be a cook there. But we never actually got to go out to eat there, and Ill say100% it was about time and it was so good! Especially the Grilled Artichokes appetizer. This place is the best.

Terrible experience. Wheat and Water has always been one of my favorite Italian restaurants. No more. Prices went up some 20 % or more. That is not the reason though! I was just glad they were in business. However. I ordered chicken piccata...$20 meal. I say, I want the sauce on the angel hair pasta on the side because Im not sure I like it. I get charged $2 for a side of sauce!😲 Then we were guided these giant cardboard boc things for left overs. By the time we got home the sauce was leaking through. I had to put left overs in my own containers. It was a mess. I may never go back. There are too many other restaurants that do not function this way. Huge disappointment.
Wheat and Water was spectacular.We came to Bradenton for a soccer tournament during the weekend and wanted to eat at a nice place.. turns out this restaurant was right across from the Hotel and it had great reviews.What a wonderful find... this restaurant has all you need. Outdoor dinning, nice bar area, cozy interior decoration and awesome service. The owner is always on site to make sure everything is perfect. Our waiter was super funny and attentive. A wonderful wine list to accompany a perfect meal. We ordered the veal piccata, scallops and shrimp (delicious), linguini alfredo with chicken and mushrooms and a fried calamari appetizer. All very good... the one thing that may need some extra effort would be the fried calamari... but still wasnt bad.The Veal piccata was very good. Nice executed. Juicy, lemony and delicate.If you live in Bradenton you are lucky to have this restaurant at your fingertips.... and if you are visiting dont hesitate to give this place a try. You will ne glad you did.

Was feeling lazy and ordered delivery from here. Dinner and app cost $60. Very pricey for the amount of food I received. My soup arrived very hot and my dinner needed to be warmed in the microwave..... on the cold side. Wasnt a huge fan of the artichoke appetizer. The dinner was good.

In the Mad Max wasteland of the Bradenton dining scene, an oasis has appeared! A owner occupied, fresh made to order restaurant with ingredients brought in from best sources. Inconceivable.My daughter and I gave this lovely little place a try and were totally taken by it. The calamari was fresh made and had a excellent light batter, perfectly seasoned. I had to set it aside; otherwise, I would have eaten the whole thing and my senses (as well as watching other guest plates arrived) told me to hold up so I could save room for the other goodies coming our way.We follow that up with fresh made pasta fagioli and an caprese salad. Both were wonderful, fresh, tasty and properly sized.I had the ragu bolognese and she had the basic spaghetti and meatballs. We overdid it trying the appetizers and could not finish but surely we need take home containers. The pasta was perfectly cooked and everything was redolent of freshness. (Yeah, I had to look that up too)The staff was polite, timely and very informative. There arent many of these types of restaurants in Bradenton so go give it a whirl. You will be very pleased.

Recently we have moved in the area and already have eaten here a few times. We prefer eating on the patio which has a nice atmosphere. Service is friendly and the food is very good. Our favorite so far is the pork chop marsala and the chicken parmesan. Looking forward to trying many more dishes! Suggest making a reservation. (thank you to the staff for wearing a mask).

My husband and I tried this for the first time. We were both blown away by the taste of the food and quality of service. Our server, Jonathan, was absolutely amazing. He mentioned he was very new but we never would have guessed with his knowledge of the menu and overall service. I recommend requesting his section when you go in!Portions are a great size and the restaurant itself feels very welcoming.We are already planning our next visit here to try more delicious meals !

We ordered the 6hr short rib entree ($27.00) and we received risotto with a small (and I mean tiny) side of short ribs. I called to speak to the manager (Stephanie) about the size of the portion and she told me to take it up with GrubHub. I guess GrubHub prepares the food too, lol. Extremely disappointed with my meal and the service!

I love this place. The food is consistent and we enjoy many dinners there over the last few years. I particularly enjoy their salads and pizza, but all of the dishes are very well done. It can get a bit loud at dinner time. We prefer to eat outside if the weather allows.

Never in my LIFE have I been so disrespected! None the less by an owner of a business that should be trying to establish itself with the community by building relationships with their customers VS making them feel unwelcome. If I could give a zero I would! This was my second (and last) visit. Upon arrival, the waiter Rob commented on how long our party of six had stayed for the first visit, which I thought was odd and a bit rude. After our meals were finished and bills were paid, the owner asks our group of moms who are getting together for a birthday celebration, a night alone without kids, and to comfort one of our group who just lost her father, to no longer stay more than two hours. That they simply can not accommodate that with their small building. There was no line out the door upon or arrival, nor was there at eight o’clock! Why does it matter if we sit and chat a bit longer during a slow time? Never in my life have I been told I had a time limit on an outing with friends. Note, there was no alcohol involved and we were not being rude and obnoxious. Needless to say, we will not be back again.

I had the worst restaurant experience of my life tonight. Not because the food was bad, but I have never been treated more awfully. I went for a “moms night out” with 4 friends, and we arrived at 6 pm. Around 9pm, the manager or owner told us that we should leave because they are a small restaurant and can’t have tables for that long. We were having a great time talking (not loudly - we were not disturbing anyone in any way shape or form), and were randomly asked to leave well before closing when there was NO WAIT, OPEN TABLES, and we had already paid our bill! It was honestly the most bizarre experience ever, and I can’t believe a business owner and waiter would treat patrons spending their time and money in their establishment like that. So disappointing when you don’t get many nights out.

This is a wonderful locally owned restaurant. They also offer a bonus program. And the best sourdough bread shipped from San Francisco baked fresh.
Excellent aroma upon entering .. ambiance medium... announced we had friends joining us and they waited a long time and were not directed to table .. after that uncomfortable start evening picked up.. great variety of choices .. all very much liked our dinners ... we will be back

We visited yet again on 03/27/2018. The food was superb. My wife and I both had a chicken dish and the protein was well cooked and not dry. The place was very busy but the food arrived in a very reasonable time and the service was fantastic. The wait staff is obviously high caliber. Well continue to visit often.
This place was fantastic. We went on a Thursday night so we did not have a wait. The entire staff was pleasant and helpful. The food was amazing. I’m very picky when it comes to Italian food and this place exceeded my expectations! New favorite go to for Italian food.
Always a good experience here! Which is pleasantly surprising being that the last few restaurants in this space, failed miserably. The service isnt always amazing and sometimes tend to be on the slower side but they always take their time with a smile. The food is always consistently good. Full bar which is always a good thing. The apple dessert is the best part though!
I have to say this place, in our view, has started getting a little worse every time we order or eat. Mind you, we have gotten takeout the last few times, but we wont even get calamari anymore, because whatever brand they are using, is simply not as good and smells horrible (the color on the red and white paper actually rubbed off on the breading last time, making them pink). The sourdough bread we got last time, which was always one of the highlights of the meal, was not fresh, clearly, and the pizzas were OK to good, but not great. Still one the better places in the area, but sliding into mediocrity. In their defense, the experience in the restaurant is usually better, but they may want to gear up and get better before all their regular customers come back in November.

This used to be really good. It has faded every time we have been recently. Visited this past weekend and its just bland. Not very busy and took way to long for mediocre food. We will pass next time.

Tried this on a whim, and were glad we did! The food was excellent, especially the pork chop masala. I didnt order it myself as the shrimp and scallops was also very good. But the pork chop was wonderful! So tender and juicy paired with an excellent marsala sauce. The service was very good. All in all, a very good choice!

Service was just horrible. We sat out on the patio, where you tend to be forgotten. Darlene was our server. She was very inadequate. We felt like we were bothering her. Our food was cold. We asked to send it back & she reluctantly took it back. We had to ask for water refills, manager provided the to go box since she was absent. Italian sausage pizza was good. We do live here, we are locals- not snow birds. So, we have tried to give this place many chances, but, it just misses the mark on several different levels.

This place was not what we were expecting. The drinks were a little off, nothing much to it. The menu is very standard and basic for an Italian place. The calamari was undercooked and so was my salmon when i asked for it to be cooked well, it came out soft and slimy. Small place can hear everything in kitchen when sitting at bar. Ive actually only eaten at this location one of the time several years ago and spending my birthday dinner here a couple weeks ago was definitely worth it. All of the food was delicious and the young lady serving our table definitely had her hands full with a lot of us but she did a phenomenal job and everything came out perfectly. The food was delicious and although it may not be the cheapest restaurant in town its far from the most expensive and we felt like we got our moneys worth. This location has been around for a while now and hopefully it stays around a while longer so that we can come back to it once again. Would highly recommend checking this place out if youre on the east side of Bradenton as there arent very many Italian restaurants around that are actually worth the money.
They have one of the better tomato sauces in town. The pizzas have great flavor but can be a little soggy in the center, ask for well done. They are not very accommodating on making changes. When asking if they could substitute the pomodoro sauce for their vodka sauce on the pasta for my entree the response was no, the chef wont do it. First Italian restaurant I ever been where the chef wont accommodate the customer on a simple request. I wont be giving my money to that chef/restaurant again. What a shame...
Was seated quickly, however took 15 minutes for a waiter to even take our drink orders. I ordered the spaghetti pomodoro, which I thought surely was a safe bet. It was warm and cold at the same time, with no flavor, except for the distinct taste fish on the pasta. I took 5 bites and refused to eat anymore. The next morning, lets just say it smelled the fish going out too. Stomach cramps galore. Would not recommend, unless youre looking for a trip to the toilet.

Excellent food. Went on Valentine’s Day with my daughter and husband. Had a reservation at 7:30. Despite the busy crowd on Valentine’s Day, they sat us at 7:45. While others complained that day of not being seated at their reserved time, the hostess did her best to accommodate everyone’s reservations. She deserves an A+ for handling these grumpy old men. Our waitress was wonderful and the food was great. Pricing was excellent, not very overpriced as some Italian restaurants. Definitely will go back.

This restaurant deserves more than 5 stars. It is such a quaint little place with staff who become your friends by the end of the evening. The food omg the food is so delicious!!! It is truly authentic Italian food and you won’t be going home still hungry that’s for sure! The portions are great size. I do recommend making a reservation if you want to try this place. They do welcome walk ins but it’s always packed! So skip the wait and call in ahead!

Went there for a business lunch. Ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and homemade lemonade. I am not sure if I was just very hungry, but it was the best chicken sandwich and lemonade I ever had at least in a very long time. It wasnt just the typical chicken on the grill and a piece of for $15 bucks that appears to be norm for a lot of great restaurants; this one was fresh with great seasonings and topings. Keep it up guys
