What a amazing place! locally owned so very happy to support a local shop. But the main reason for my 5 star is the people. As soon as I walked in I was greeted, an helped right away. My 1st visit the guy was working on a project an even then he managed to help me out at the same time. The selection of items is far more extensive than one would expect. From model kits to RC planes and cars and even airsoft accessories. Shop locally and support a great establishment!!

Our experience with Hobby Marketplace has been excellent in every way. This is not just a toy store, it is a serious hobby store for all levels of enthusiasts. My boys are serious RC aviators and the staff always treats them with great respect and friendliness. The staff is knowledgeable, skilled, and very willing to help and give practical advice. They are able to do the most intricate repairs and are not pushy when it comes to sales. They have good inventory and if they dont have something you want or need they will find it, order it, and they call you when your item comes in. It is worth your time to go visit Hobby Marketplace.

My husband loves cars, so of course he made it into a hobby. If youre looking for any small parts for your car, truck, etc., this is the place to go. Great to work with. They definitely know their stuff

Bought my first camera drone here. I had zero experience and the staff helped me pick the right drone for me. I ended up getting a blade chroma and Im extremely happy with the purchase. Staff is very knowledgeable and helped me with all the info I needed to enjoy my new drone. Highly recommended store. I checked online pricing and they are extremely competitive plus you get the personal help you cant get online.

Large store with many items, well staffed by knowledgeable enthusiasts. I had made a purchase that I wasnt satisfied with and returned it after the 15 day return policy time had lapsed (I had reflexively assumed a 30 day return policy). The manager, Clay, asked a couple of questions as can be expected and after consideration of my circumstance agreed to take the item back. He didnt have to make any exceptions but he did. I really appreciate dealing with people like this.

I absolutely love this hobby store! Jim the owner and Jim the FPV expert have always been extremely helpful, and the same applies to the rest of the staff. Im a quad copter/RC plane enthusiast and Hobby Marketplace is stocked with everything I need with knowledgeable people that always have the time to answer all my questions. Hobby Marketplace has an impressive inventory no matter what youre looking for. Im not a car guy, but if I was Id be utilizing the awesome race track Hobby Marketplace has right next store. This place is a must see!!!

This place is awesome . I got to tour the store today on a fluke, that staff a younger guy friendly courteous and seemed very knowledgeable about everything in the shop.This place was like walking into my childhood with all the cool things little boys and now girls dream of playing with from models, metal 3D models, planes, drones, you name it if youre in the neighborhood stop and check these guys out .

Since Gator hobbies closed I go here now. Its a drive for me but worth it. I have found out that the old Gator hobby store was screwing me. They were helpful here and honest. I bought a Traxxas Rustler to replace my Arrma Granite. The guys said the rustler would be much better and they were spot on.

The worst customer service I have ever dealt with.Everyone was so nice the day I was making my purchase but the tables turned quick when I tried to return it.Im sure Gator Hobbies will be happy to take my money.

Excellent Hobby Shop!!!! Ive had nothing but great service at this store. Ive purchased numerous items from them. They price match and they bend over backward to help out. Dont understand the other bad reviews but I can assure you that I have had nothing but great service on multiple purchases.

Buyer beware.....thought I was getting a deal on a barely used rc car. $110 for car ..battery and charger extra. Paid approx $200..all together. SAME car with charger and battery included is $115 brand new. Boy did they see a sucker walking thru the door.

I called this place asking if they sold Scalextric tracks, the person that answered stated that they do.Searched for their address and it came up across multiple sites as being located at Westfield Sarasota Square.Me and my family headed 35 minutes South to that location, once there, we could not find the store. I called the store once again saying that we could not find you only to be informed that they had moved North.We went to the shop and then they informed me that they do not sell Scalextric and that it is no longer being made. And to top it off, they claimed that they never received a call, bearing in mind this is a small place with only two people working there.I know for a fact that Scalextric is still popular and still being made, it is everywhere online and this is the first model shop that I have ever been to that does not stock.

Would spend more money/time here if they were open more

This Store Has Great Staff who know what they are talking about and will not lie to you about something they do not know about... They will tell you im sorry i dont know enough about that subject and send you to someone who does know. Also the price are deffently below retail and other local hobby stores! i give 2 thumbs up and 2 big toes up!!!!

MANAGER ON DUTY SAYS SALES IS NOT BASED ON HONESTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!COMMISSION SALES BASED SCAMMERS!!! RC brick and motor store trying to survive against online... so sad sales ethics ... Bought a modified Traxxas Teton... used... in horrible condition Was not told could not return for any issues... WAY OVER PRICED !!! Could have gotten it new for $230!! Was given the wrong charger for battery ..balded tires... BAD r/c transmitter only works 100ft cmon its 2.4Ghz!!... worked in retail for 3 yrs .. worst store experience ever!!

Extremely poor customer service. I have emailed and called a number of times and have gotten no response at all. I ordered a Vex Robotic kit in December 2015 for Christmas, they charged my card at that time and have never shipped the product to me. Their online status shows nothing and none of the phone numbers or departments pick up to answer any questions. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY ORDERING, THEY ARE UN RESPONSIVE TO ANY INQUIRIES.

The owner is a jerk who knows nothing about RCs. This is a big no no when your in the RC Hobby field. His customer service was very poor also. I came in with TRANS issues and left with TRANS issues.

Indifference on the part of staff, unfortunately spoiled the experience in an interesting looking store.the one clerk that we were able to find was too busy playing a game to acknowledge our presence.

I just think that if you are not buying anything from them they really don’t like to help you and quick to get me off the phone
