Dave and the crew are terrific in getting you the best cuts. The case always has fresh meat fir any dish. I’ve been patronizing them for the last 4 years and I’m never disappointed.

The chop chop has both a great meat department and deli. All the butchers are very knowledgeable and helpful. The deli makes their own salads barbecue ribs, stuffed cabbage, green beans, and many other side dishes. They carry desserts from a local bakery, Hometown Desserts. They also have fresh bread. I personally love their creamy coleslaw.

Visiting the area for the day, I stopped in to see about getting some Geirs lunch meats for a picnic with friends. The Geirs meat website said this was the closest to my local. Sadly all the Geirs meats here, were frozen. Boars head was the only deli meats they carry. Store was super clean and friendly. Lots of people all wearing masks and staying safe. Thanks anyways!!

This is our go to butcher, especially for steaks. We get great cuts of steak, at fair prices. We also got some jumbo shrimp to barbecue with the steaks, and they were absolutely wonderful. Check them out, they have a friendly efficient counter staff who are always willing to help with cooking suggestions, and selecting of cuts of meats.

This place is awesome! If you are anywhere near the Bradenton area this is the place to go. I will say that there are certainly cheaper prices elsewhere. However, you get what you pay for. The quality and selection of meat is impressive and the service will have you wanting to go back.

What a great place to buy fresh meats and fish.They also have a specialty deli with smoked chicken wings and ribs. I served them during Super Bowl and they were gone by the end of the first quarter.They are the best.Wherever you live it well worth the trip to try this butcher shop.Pricing at the high end but well worth it for the quality.Incomparable.Simply the Best..

Our local go to butcher when we are in the area. This place had been around for decades as they stay true to their craft. Some of their steaks as sausage for reference.

I recently purchased their chicken salad and found it to be the worst Ive ever tasted. The chicken was gristly, it had too much salad dressing and virtually no flavor. I have been pleased with the Chop Shop until this purchase, but they could take a lesson from Sweet Berries for making good chicken salad.

Great Butcher Shop & Deli. The BEST in the Bay Area....

Very disappointed in Chop Shop on Manatee Ave... The front is “clean” to the eye but when you go into the walk in coolers what a MESS! Raw meet on top of cooked meat, Mold on cooler walls pink and black! The grinder that the sausage and meats are grounded out of are dirty with old crusty meat on the floor under it stuck to the ground. I had to look around more as i couldn’t believe my eyes and where the chickens at smells HORRIBLE! I saw them cutting chicken on one table then started cutting steaks on the same one without cleaning it. Very sad to know that first glance to the eyes isn’t always correct. I’m 26 and have never thought a place could be this unsanitary!

Thank you to the best butcher in town. We wanted to cook lamb for our Easter dinner. I had no idea where to begin, I had never cooked lamb. David was able to provide me with terrific advice and steered me toward roasting a leg of lamb as opposed to lamb chops. We had a group of 10 and the boneless leg of lamb was simple and and easy to prepare. It was cut and wrapped perfectly. There was no waste to it at all. We stuffed it with cloves of garlic and rosemary and roasted it on a Traeger Grill. It made our Easter guests become instant lovers of lamb. And, lastly the price was 1/6 th of the cost that lamb chops would have been. Thank you to you David and all of your team at The Chop Shop in Bradenton. You make us feel like family every time we come in.

Stinky meat with stinkeye service. Highly not recommended. I know they use to be great but the latest managment seems to have a complex and likes to take it out on his customers. My wife made me beef welington for my birthday. The filet was from chop shop. It was 10 out of 10, the best. The meat was a huge part so good. We went back got 4 more. I liked the look of the sausage. I got braughtworst and adule. Just fried them up for lunch. Also excellent. Funny we lived next to the place for years and never tried it. Now we will drive across town.

This meat market is the real deal. They grind their own beef (multiple times daily), they cut their own meats and they have a great deli. This is like an old style market where they remember your face, your name and often times your preferences too. I highly suggest the Chop Shop.

We stopped in while on a golf trip in the area to get some steaks for dinner. We bought 4 ribeye steaks, items to make mushroom risotto and some asparagus. The steak was one of the best steaks I have ever eaten. A little pricey but you get what you pay for. I would definitely return if in the area again

*** Unsanitary Practices During Covid-19***My friends recommended Chop Shop to me because they have been going here for 40 years. Unfortunately, this will be the last time them and I ever go back. Nobody - not the workers nor the customers - take Bradenton’s mask mandate seriously. Even though the shop door said they are enforcing the mask mandate, the EMPLOYEES were arrogant enough to not even have a mask on. The ones who did have a mask on their body were wearing it under their chin. It was flagrant disregard for our health and safety. We were so anxious to leave that we didn’t get half of what we came here for.Not going back.

Best butcher in Manatee County!

This is our favorite place to get meats. The staff is always inviting and so helpful. We have even gotten calls from family out of state to bring them some when we come up to visit!!

One of our favorites here is the stuffed chicken breasts. Our favorite is the cordon blue. The meatloaf blend is great and makes fabulous burgers. My husband really liked the sushi grade tuna. The deli is always fun to browse what new goodies they cooked along with their array of salads to choose from. Definitely a place to stop for fresh meat, seafood and deli.
