Fast service and the best quality you could ask for! Corey and his team put their hearts into everything they do! Highly recommend!
Mckeevers is the best around! Highly recommend them to anyone needing boat repair/restoration!
Excellent service in a timely fashion would recommend to all who wants an experienced mechanic working on your boat
Good people and do great work on your boat 👍🇺🇸
I know where mckeevers marine is I’ve been there
Brought my boat to McKeever after the bridge destroyed my tower, including ripping out all of the cables, etc. Corey had the boat for quite a while, as we did a lot of work to restore the boat. His enthusiasm and the detail of his work were excellent. The upgrades were beautifully done, and he stayed in close touch with me throughout. I would recommend Corey and his dogs for serious work.
We take all of our boats here and Cory always gets them taken care of fast which is very important as a boat rental company. One time he drove almost an hour just to pick up a part to fix our boat before the weekend. He also stands behind his work! He had to do a warranty repair for me and he got it taken care of the same day. We very much appreciate Cory and will continue to send him all our work. Hard to find a good mechanic that is both fair in price and fast in service.
Corey gets it done right, fast, and at a good cost. Thanks for all your help man!
Cory is awesome!
Corey knows his stuff when it comes to boats. His work is top notch and he is a man of his word. Highly recommend.
Great service!!! Great Price!!! Great people!!! Pictures and videos of the work being completed throughout the repairs. Why go anywhere else??
Told me my motor had bad compression and I needed to get a new one to fix the motor alarm. I took the same motor to another mechanic and he recognized immediately that it was just a faulty impeller. I could have spent thousands trying to replace a motor that continued running great for years after.
We had a great experience here. My husband was in a panic because his brothers were flying in for a fishing weekend and his motor quit working the weekend before. He called his normal mechanic who couldn’t even look at it for 2 1/2 weeks. I called McKeevers and explained the situation and he was happy to take the boat in right away. I told him we needed it by the time the brothers arrived and after he did the diagnosis he said he could do it and he delivered on time and for a fair price for the work. This will be our new go to mechanic. Thank you!
Great guy!!
Corey and Harley are outstanding. Best marine mechanic I have ever used. Prompt work and reasonable prices. I highly recommend them for your Boat.
Corey saved my Carolina Skiff from being totaled. It had a hull and deck crack. They were able to drain all water out, repair fiberglass, connect my new motor and fix the front deck. Im happy to know of a shop that does great fiberglass work.
Do not let this guy work on your motors. We brought our motor in for a service before a trip to the keys. Once we were on it for the 1st day the motor kept over heating, when we arrived at the dock to check it out we noticed water wasnt coming up to the top of the motor probably causing damage from all the over heating. The next morning on our vacation wedismantled our motor to check the water pump to see if it was even serviced because the thermostats were the same and the spark plugs were the same we thought he charged us 800.00 and didnt change a thing at that point. We noticed the water pump wasnt aligned which was stopping water to cooling off the upper engine. On e we changed it out and solved that problem we continued on our vacation the over heating had stop but at this point the engine kept beeping throwing check engine signals the entire trip.Once we got back back to Bradenton and called mckeever we had to argue to have him look st it and when he did and had someone hook a computer up to it after taking apart the motor to diagnose the problem he then lost parts to our motor and gave it back to us incomplete costing us more money. So after all that and our motor overheating damaging it furthur lets just say we basically had to rebuild the motor that worked perfectly before we brought it in.
Great discovery for a marine mechanic. Prices are reasonable and they are very fast in turning around your repair. They stand behind their work and if you leave a message you can bet they will be calling you promptly.
The gentlemen employed at this fine establishment are handsome, funny, smart, and they are also snappy dressers. Cory has perfected the art of making German style potato salad and the shrimps in the shrimp scampi are the biggest and freshest around. He and his team of studly co-workers also know their way around a boat. As a bonus you also get to pet a friendly, fuzzy dog named Captian while you wait.
I wanted to settle thoughts before posting negative reviews. Stopped in to have my motor examined and left in frustration after owner stated it was complicated. Isnt that why you have a business? To repair? I was willing to pay for diagnosis but he flat refused to work on it. With 4 bad reviews in a short time I would consider looking elsewhere.
Great guys, very helpful. Amazing finishes and paint work.
Great turnaround time, theyre able to do absolutely anything boat related, fiberglass, mechanical, electronics etc. You get what you pay for and theyre definitely money well spent.
I would not recommend doing business with McKeevers Marine. I consider them to do 80% of the work then leave the last 20% unfinished and most importantly untested. They do not sea trial their work. They sent me to the water with a new engine and throttle. The boat would not go into neutral. I returned the boat to the owner Corey. A few days later he called and said they found the problem and the throttle was fixed. With my family on board at the Rt64 boat ramp the Idle was dangerously high and still would not go into neutral. We slammed into the dock causing a large scuff mark on the bow of my boat. Find a reputable marine mechanic such as Marine Max. Their labor is only $24 per hour more then Mckeevers Marine. I took the boat to them, they found the problem with the throttle, timing issues with the engine idling and starting and an exhaust leak. I had Mckeevers Marine purchase a brand new engine from Land and Sea all brand new gaskets. They just dont have the necessary tools (i.e. proper timing gun for Mercruiser 3.0L engines) and dont take the time to sea trial. The ramp is only 3 miles away from his shop. Take my advise dont use his shop!!!!
Terrible drivers, driving too fast and wreckless. About ran me off the road with the trailer they were towing. When confronted, they offered no apology and just drove off.
Good guys
