Love my (2) J-45s! Standards are good; Custom Shop is better!
Very helpful. People and I play one of the best hummingbird 1970
Gibson is by far the best job Ive ever had! Great hours, awesome pay and rockin people to work with/for! If you play guitar, wanted to learn or just wanted to know how theyre made... Gibson is the wonderful opportunity you want! Apply today!
I purchased a new J45. Ill start with the good- resonance, sustain, and tone on this guitar were amazing. This is a guitar I really want to play. Unfortunately, the product quality was dismal. It had string buzz when you really laid into it that made playing unpleasant. In an attempt to fix it I loosened the truss rod, and under the cover there was all this fuzz and debris under there, like no one even cared to inspect the guitar. Further, the fretboard glue job was poor with lots of exposed glue. If I can buy a Taylor 214ce-K for 1/3 the price (or even a Jasmine) without those issues, why should I pay nearly 3 grand for a subquality guitar? It seems Gibson is putting too much pressure on production, and they need to slow down and treat their employees better. I would really like to have a J45 and an SJ200, but how can I spend that kind of money for an instrument that may or may not work? This will be my last Gibson purchase
Incredible. Such an honor to see the talented craftsmen(and craftswomen) hand building the worlds finest acoustic guitars.
I love working for them, and am very excited about the currently ongoing major expansion of the factory which will include a showroom. If people want a tour in the future, I highly recommend waiting until the beginning of 2022 when the expansion is expected to be complete.
Great people
For the people giving one star because they dont have a tour someone needs to rate your rate ability. Good well made guitars
Very disappointed they dont offer tours of the facility. As someone who owns several Gibson guitars, including one that was built right here at this factory, it would have been nice to see how it was built! I dont know what theyre thinking...it could be a great PR move to show people how these beautiful instruments are made.
High quality, locally made acoustic guitars in in the heart of the valley. Great employees who really care about the customers and the products they make. Great company, give them a browse for your musical spirit.
I’m thinking they need to let people know that there are no tours available on their answering service, that way they don’t need to be rude. They stopped doing tours 5 yrs ago I was informed. Do they not have a showroom they could at least direct people to? Oh well, another reason to go Taylor😂
Gibson acoustic do not do factory tours. I hope they consider it for the future as it would be a great tourist attraction. I took one star off for this reason. The lovely receptionist directed us to Music Villa in Bozeman, a music store with a fabulous selection of Gibson guitars and other instruments. The staff there were happy to show us around the store and were very knowledgeable with information on the guitars. They also have a wonderful display of collectable guitars.
I recently purchased a Gibson SJ-200 which had a problem with the pick guard. I called the factory and arranged with Ben Broyles (their warranty expert) to have it repaired. My wife and I were greeted warmly and Ben offered to give us a factory tour. Talk about a kid in a candy store; beautiful guitars being made everywhere and everywhere some craftsman doing his or her part of the start to finish magic that results in these amazing instruments. And best of all when Ben concluded our tour my guitar was ready to go.An amazing place. Great people. If you ever get the chance to visit this place, please take it.5 plus stars.

Great guitars, but no factory tour. Not even a sign to pose with!
I had the opportunity to tour the factory and it was a great experience. Great guitars made by great people.
My dad works here, really cool place seeing all of the guitars and how they make them!!
Went to Bozeman for our 47Th wedding anniversary, only to find that the Gibson plant does not give tours, and has not for six years. So much for websites and reviews . had planned on this for years .
We called them, was informed, quite rudely, that they do not give tours. They quit doing it 3 years ago.
Songwriter bought in 2014 top separated months later.Company finally had me ship it back and not that great repair. Now pickguard needs replaced as it separated from finish. The guy a Customer Service just doesnt give a shi--I lost my original guitar in a tornado and thought I would just go for it and go Gibson. My mistake.Fool me once, right!!
