Omg this place is so amazing and they have new hours. They’re open on Tuesdays through Saturdays until 8pm!!!!
Tried to take my son and they were closed, he was so excited too...Google said they were open at 11am Tuesdays but the doors were locked and no one answered the phone.
There is a great selection of candy in this store. My roommates and I have been in the store previously and were nothing but impressed with the selection of candy and a very attentive employee. We though this would be a great stop after some birthday sushi. However, tonight has been dubbed a Birthday Disappointment. We walked into your store right before 7pm on the night of 10/28. Upon arrival we were not greeted by the employee working and we were ignored for nearly 10 minutes as we waited SITTING at the bar. We were only acknowledged when we walked over and told her we were ready to order. We ordered our two milkshakes: a Candy Jar and a Cookie Cliff. We proceeded to sit at the bar for over 20 minutes before we were served. We waited 20 minutes before being served the two drinks that were slowly made in front of us. Rather than conversing with us at the bar, we were left to silently gaze at the empty containers that were being scraped for our shakes. When we were given our drinks, our drinks tasted stale and were completely melted, with the outside decorations sliding down the cup. A fellow customer sat next to us at the bar and waited to be served, without acknowledgement. To say we were disappointed would be an understatement. We then stood by the register for another 10 minutes without the employee even recognizing that we were ready to go. After such a long wait for our shakes we were already late for an event after and had chosen to ignore the fact of the untimeliness, until we once again had to ask for her assistance. We are disappointed and sad that this experience happened...even the shake we were served was served with a sad face rather than the smile depicted on the menu.
Very cute place with a great selection :) the owner is very kind as well :)
If I could rate Higher, I WOULD. The atmosphere in this place is so lovely and peaceful. They have old school candy & even new candies I have yet to try! Not to mention the over the top milkshakes they are to DIE FOR.The manager girl “Emily” is too darn sweet! Very professional & so bubbly and kind! I’m always there in the morning so she’s the only employee I’ve seen so I can’t speak on the other employees but GREAT SERVICE, GREAT CANDY, GREAT PLACE. GREAT MILKSHAKES. & SO PROFESSIONAL.
Yummy ice cream. The jars are super cute and you get to take them home. Excited to try all their different concoctions!
They took away the super fun speciality shakes and increased prices, $14 for just a regular shake 😬 pretty sad
Super nice staff. Love the candy selection. We even had a little mishap with a broken bag and the young man a the counter was so kind!!!
This place is so fun and whimsical! A younger me would have been literally like a kid in a candy shop. The shakes and sundaes are fantastic and over the top in the decoration and presentation. I will most certainly be back for more when in Bozeman.Check it out for yourself!
Super cool place for any sort of candy or sweets you are looking for. The even have some sort of sugar drink bar which serves milkshakes, sodas and more
WAY over priced $8 for a 3 scoop Sunday? Thanks I will go get a full half Gal at the store next time
Such a wonderful place to take your sweet tooth back in time and to get an amazing milk shake
Not what it used to be....three quarters of the jars were empty!
I fought to keep my children from tearing everything off the shelves. They had a great variety of candy and gourmet desserts. My pregnant wife also LOVED the cookie dough milkshake [as did the children who attacked it, immediately].
Ive been to the Candy Jar several times since theyve opened, and I always encourage my friends to try them too! For Valentines Day this year we made Heart-Shaped Candy bars where you get to select the toppings. It was tasty and the staff making it, were friendly and attentive during the process. Same goes for the milkshakes (Montana Mug Shakes) which is where, in my opinion, the real treat is. The shakes are loaded with yummy goodies and its so pretty at the end! You then get to keep your glass t the end, making a large $6-$8 shake well worth the price.
The milkshakes here are amazing but I dont think it is worth the price. Also, the only seating is a long bar so if you want to go here to enjoy a milkshake with friends its not the most optimal place. They did have an unique assortment of candies and desserts here. Perfect if you only want to drop in and get something sweet.
I live in an apartment building nearby, and I overheard one of my elderly neighbors today say that she was looking for chocolate covered peanuts at the grocery store but couldnt find any. I knew of the Candy Jar shop but had never been there before until today. They have an unbelievable assortment of candy both behind the counter and in bins where you can select as much as you want. The very nice sales clerk helped me find and make my selection of chocolate covered peanut clusters for my neighbor. I would recommend this place for all your candy and gift needs.
I love the candy jar but was sad to see a lot of my favorites were out of stock today. Hope that gets better. It wont deter is from trying again.
The woman working took at least 20 minutes to make 2 milk shakes and was moving so slow it was disrespectful but if someone else is working I might consider getting another milk shake here.
I absolutely love The Candy Jar! They have milkshakes that are to die for and the candy selection is amazing. Any time I have someone from out of town visiting I make it a point to bring them here!
Not a very large selection of chocolate covered treats, fudge, truffles and specialty items. Lots of bulk candy though and a nifty build your own chocolate bar area.
Absolutely amazing place. The milkshakes are not only tasty, but visually stunning as well! Great selection of candy.and you can also make your own chocolate candy bar and add whatever you want in it! 😍A great place to bring a date for dessert and fun creative candy making.Theyll be seeing me again... and again.*update* Still a great establishment, BUT dont ever expect a response back if you send them a message asking questions about products.Have sent multiple things via their Facebook page. Months have gone by without any response back.
Despite having to work around social distancing standards, we had a great time selecting our milkshakes and splits. Cannot wait to come back in the future!
Meh, doesn’t seem to be run very well. Once we put an order in and waited a half hour before hearing that they just decided to closed early. Lots of old candy- the strawberry gummies are stale and hard to chew. The carmels were DISGUSTING- old, crumbly. Like..... it’s called Candy Jar.If you don’t want to be bothered with delivery orders or aren’t going to make shakes etc. with what it says they come with, don’t offer delivery.
Delicious ice cream and the friendliest service I’ve ever had!!!
My sister and I came in at 8 thinking they closed at 9... no problem we left but when we walked in the worker stared at us not saying anything as we sat down and giggled with her friends instead of informing us they were closed. Super rude and snotty when we asked if they were closed.
I am OBSESSED with this place!!! I literally come here at least once a week with my daughter! Which is bad for our diet but Kimberlee (the owner) can get me right back on track with a meal plan because she is a personal trainer, too!! It’s a win-win!! 😂I love all of the staff and the atmosphere that the fun music brings. I cannot wait for the new summer shakes they are creating, they should be excellent!!!I have tried all of the shakes and there is one for everybody! The artistic vision for the shakes is genius. I am from the south and they would die for a place like this back home so consider yourself lucky, Bozeman! 😉
This was a fun little store. The containers you can fill with candy are a good idea and make great gifts.
This was the best place to meet my friends for my 16th birthday. We all had great shakes. I also went for ice cream the day I got my braces on. I love it!
Great place usually, but my child (9 years old) ordered a regular sized cone, then I tried to order a childs size as we were going to trade licks on the cone but I was told I could not order a childs size. Sad day as I understand i am not a child but I have a child with me and it was for us both to trade licks and have fun.
Tried to order sundaes but the two ladies working there were more interested in the young man sitting at the counter. Waited about 10 minutes and then left to buy ice cream elsewhere.
Great place to take the family or friends! Very fun atmosphere and great selection of candy!Their Milkshakes are so over the top and delicious!
It was such a fun little candy store, the employees were extremely helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend it in the future
I dont like to write bad reviews, but... Our experience here was poor.We came for ice cream. My son is allergic to Annatto (a tree-nut extract used as a natural coloring), which is sometimes used to tint ice cream. So we asked if they knew the ingredients in the ice cream. The staff response was I have no idea! Ok, so no ice cream for my son. My wife and daughter still got some, but there was no pricing, and staff was slow. And the gals hair tie on her wrist kept dragging through the ice cream. Gross! It was also funny that the staff didnt know the difference between a waffle cone and a sugar cone. My wife asked for a sugar cone and he grabbed a wafer/cake cone. When she tried to correct him he said, oh you mean a waffle cone! (sugar cones and waffle cones are not the same thing!)We also bought some candy. They do have a fun selection. Some of it tasted old. So we started looking at the packaging. Most candy is not marked, but a couple were, and they were long past their best by dates. This place has potential, but isnt what it could be. We wont be back.
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. 4 of us went in here for the first time yesterday for milkshakes. They were way busy, took about a hour no problem. But if a health inspector was there the place most likely would have had to stop making milk shakes. A dark haired girl was making them. She was NOT wearing gloves, kept touching her hair to keep it out of her face, touching her glasses several times, pulling her shirt down over and over and poured nuts in her hand to roll our mugs on them, touched chocolate chips, cookies, marshmallows, ect all the while never once washed her hands after touching her hair and all. Bent in to get ice cream for all 4 and others and her hair was right down in there to. I was so grossed out and would have loved to say something but had teenagers with me and they asked me not to. Only if we did have her hair in our shakes. And to charge $8.00 each and all we could taste was straight up milk. I couldnt drink mine. The girl processed to drop a lid on the floor and pick it back up a couple minutes later only to stick it right back on the jar. I did like the candy variety they had and definitely bought some. Worst experience Ive ever had to have to watch all this nasty stuff happening whIle only wanting a good milkshake that taste only like milk. Will NEVER get anything from this place again unless its individually wrapped. Especially when it cost me $32 for our shakes and we all wasted them. Bummer was excited to finally get a chance to go here.
The cutest and most unique candy store in Montana! Also very friendly staff and the owner is just as sweet as the candy. 😉
Clean and good candy
Great deals .loved it
A niche little candy shop with great selection. Great for candyholic gift ideas. Found some great and unique candy items.
The milkshake we ordered was super milky with very little ice cream. It was basically sweetened milk. Honestly the worst milkshake Ive ever had and was also overpriced. The server was slow, although she was super friendly. I was disappointed as this place had a lot of potential.
The kids loved the selection of fun candies! I loved that the sweet girl behind the counter made me a delicious chocolate espresso milkshake!!! Thank you!!!
Perfect place for all your candy needs
My kids have so much fun in the Candy Jar. They love the shakes!
Owener is so sweet!!! Had a shake, a little expensive but very very worth it! Great deal on mix and match bulk candy! Fun and cute store!!!!!!!!
I came in for milkshakes with my family and the employees are super nice and the milkshakes were great!
The cutest place with a huge selection and super friendly staff! A+ A must stop in while in Bozeman :)
A wide variety of delicious sweets that are reasonably priced.
Decadent sweet treats in a fun atmosphere!
The candy jar is my new favorite spot in Bozeman, certifiably fetch, and maybe the hipest thing since leather anklets made out of old Birkenstocks. The selection is great and the atmosphere is perfect, definitely made by a handful of intelligent and resourceful employees who definitely aren’t being paid enough for the killer job they do. They are knowledgable and the perfect amount of assistive and helpful without seeming pushy. I look forward to my return but to be honest I can’t get the candy store music out of my head.
Be careful here. You can lose track of time looking at all the candy
Very neat place!
I love it there but pretty expensive.
Lots of amazing candy and great service
Best candy in Bozeman

Who doesnt love candy?
Great Selection of Candy
