Stopped in two weeks ago before visiting the museum. I ordered an bacon and egg on a croissant. See the photo below what came out. It was in a cup and the bacon overcooked and hard like it had been sitting a couple hours. The overall item was somewhat tasty but a little dry. The Mrs. had the ham & eggs on a plate. She left a bunch and said didnt enjoy it as the ham was very salty. It takes awhile to get your food but when its supposedly being made fresh, thats understandable. There was lots of seating. The staff had an indifferent attitude. These are all things that could be improved. We usually will give a second chance. Sorry, but not this time.
Great food, I ordered the vegetable plate with eggs and cheesy grits. Only disappointment was veggies consisted of 98% onions and only 3 very small pieces of bell pepper and one very small mushroom. A more balanced variety of veggies would have been better.
Went to this place for a faster breakfast. The choices we had where full by this time of day. We found this place and it left us wishing we waited at Ihop for the hour to 45 minutes. All we got was a bacon egg and cheese croissant. Which took just as long . If you are in a hurry to eat this place on a Saturday may not be the place to stop. However if you are a coffee drinker they can whip that right up.
This place is fire. Great coffee and good breakfast. It has a weak spot and doesnt do a lot of advertising but its so good. If it was in the middle of BG it would rake. Awesome hidden spot
Very good and fresh food. And friendly service. 2 thumbs up
Lovely shop with breakfast bowls and sandwiches. Definitely going to stop here next time Im in town!
Stopped in to have some high quality food and decided on the Sunrise Panini. This comes with German potato salad, which they offered to switch out, but I already know its the bomb! Last time I reviewed Coffee & Eggs, I suggested heading to Waffle House if you needed quantity over quality, but I have to say, this plate, and their other plates are plenty enough for a hungry person. Stop by, see for yourself. #220.
Recommand their seasonal raspberry mocha, hot one tasted better than cold. Panini bread was a bit too greasy for me but the ham, egg & cheese paired really well with the sauce they use. Favorite part was cheese grits. They have a nice kick to it! Be warned, if youre sensitive to spice, you may wish to avoid them.
Best coffee Ive had in a while!!! The name serves it well, not a place to go for a huge plate of French Toast or Pancakes. Here youll find smaller plates (breakfast sandwiches or bowls) and pastries.Update: the coffee and eggs are still great. I need to report that some Maniac got up and abandoned their cheese grits on their plate and this is unfathomable.
Place was empty, and I see why.The food has no flavor, the service was poor. I was excited to give this place a try, I should have thought twice.
As of 7/21 there is a sign on the door stating they are closed until further notice due to the owners’s father being in poor health.Hope to visit in the future.Prayers for everyone.-David
I was in serious need of exactly this after being on the road so long: Coffee and Eggs. The building is beautiful on the inside. The staff are young and kind. I ordered eggs, bacon and toast and German potato salad (which they had to educate me on what that was). Also a mocha latte. The food came out quick, was hot and much more substantial than I was expecting. The toast wasnt Wonder bread, the bacon was hearty and the potato salad was amazing. I will be back!
Delicious food for a great price! Definitely recommend. We were just passing through and mistakingly got off on the wrong exit, but we definitely didnt regret it. Next time were passing through, were coming back! Much better than the chain stores.
Very clean and trendy inside! Food and coffee was great too! Had the brisket and egg bowl with cheese grits on the bottom. Will be back!
Real food. Not fast food. My wife and I are on dietary restriction and this place was very accommodating allowing substitutions where necessary. Staff was friendly and helpful and the food was good. Nice little spot.
Delicious coffee and delicious food. Plus, the bacon is super thick and cooked to perfection. A great place to stop and grab breakfast or lunch!
The fritattas we get were amazing (bacon cheddar and jalapeno cheddar) and the raspberry mocha blew me away. The prices were surprising good too. I was very impressed overall. They go for a hipster coffee shop vibe and pull it off perfectly. Ill definitely be back
First time trying this place, definitely exceeded my expectations!! I had the breakfast bowl with German potatoes and would highly recommend. The white mocha was amazing too! Nice atmosphere as well. Perfect place to enjoy a brunch with friends and family. Will definitely be coming back.
Just stopped for lunch. Was told the kitchen was closed. When I asked why, the person working told me, “He’s just not feeling very well.”I guess “he” is the cook? They have only one? I’m assuming that perhaps he might be worried he had Corona virus? But if they were that worried, why be open?Corona excuses abound!
I am very impressed and delightfully full. I’m on The Mediterranean Diet and they have great options for those who have dietary restrictions. I’ve been here twice and this trip alone has sold me on coming back more often. The Mt. Victor’s Cold Brew is made in house, brewed 24 hours prior to serving and it’s the best iced coffee I’ve had! Didn’t even have a reason to add anything to it. Splurge for a orange cranberry muffin, it won’t disappoint. I didn’t have one this time, but they’re so tempting. My only recommendation to creating the most perfect atmosphere for an enjoyable breakfast is maybe some music? However that’s just me!Eat here, you won’t be sorry — I only leave reviews when I’m blown away.
Food is delicious and their cold brew is strong. The staff is always friendly.
Huge thanks to manager there. Ended up hitting debris on interstate and got off and pulled into the parking lot. Manager came out to check on me talked to me for a while then welcomed me into the business to sit and wait for someone to get me. Staff was amazing and all greeting me with smiles. Enjoyed me a great cup of coffee. For me having such a rough morning brought positive vibes making my day a lot better. Feeling very blessed this morning. Definitely plan on coming back in there.
Honestly sir I am a business owner myself and that is not what you said to us. Its against my right as an american if I have a medical condition then you cannot ask me to put on a mask. I have govern. Officals in my family. I know the laws of both Illinois and Kentucky.
Very nice breakfast options. We split a muffin & an excellent BLT sandwich. Breakfast sandwiches beats any fast food sandwiches hands down. Worth the trip.
Fantastic coffee. I go out of my way for these guys.
The sign is very unassuming, leaving one to imagine a dive-like atmosphere inside. What a surprise to see bright decor! The food was delicious. The price was very reasonable. Let them talk you into a lavender latte. You wont regret it. This is a gem of place, and I will visit again for sure.
Fun place for a lite breakfast and coffee. Many choices for those who indulge in coffee. There are tables outside for those who would like to sit outside. The warmed cinnamon roll was the best. Of course there are eggs on the menu. Enjoy.
*update* dine-in is back with physically distanced seating. They will put an egg on ANYTHING. The breakfast is consistently great.
This is how coffe and eggs should be done. Great cook. Great price. Great service
Best brunch Ive had in a long time. Came down from MI to visit mammoth caves and expected to be eating McDonalds breakfast each day. Saw this place omw into town and thank goodness I did. This place has the best breakfast I have had in a long time. And the best coffee I ever had
A fun, well-seasoned place that the locals use. Great coffee selection, absolutely delicious breakfast bowels (meat, vegan, gluten-free). Dont look in the pastry case; the cinnamon rolls are large enough for three -- get it warmed for that melt-in-your mouth experience.
If I was the owner of this business I would advertise on the highway. It was a great fast bite to eat the coffee is not bitter (I take my coffee black). They have alot if grab and go treats and the breakfast croissants were huge.
Recently found this place and I love it so much! It’s a great atmosphere, the staff are so genuine and kind, and they have the best cinnamon rolls and iced coffee I’ve ever had!! Nothing but great things about this place!
Stopped in this morning and Im SO GLAD I did! This place is on par with the best places in Nashville for their coffee and food options, with better parking and prices right here in BG! My iced raspberry mocha was AMAZING. The decor is adorable, its a big, beautiful open space, and the owner even came out and chatted with me a bit. This is one of my all time favorites, after just one visit. Foodie love!
What a wonderful place! Eggs were fresh and coffee hot. Great eatory. Staff very attentive and service oriented. Loved the grits.
Food was good, but was extraordinarily disappointed in the portion size. The breakfast bowl is a little more than a large coffee cup. It was very discouraging after seeing the generous plates that were scattered through the restaurant. Im honestly going to stop again in Louisville so I can fill my stomach this time.
So amazing loved the atmosphere, help, and best breakfast I have had in a long while should be on the TV show Drive Inns, Dinners and Dives. Wish there was one in my town I would be a regular. Thanks so much for a great breakfast.😁
So glad I found this place while visiting Kentucky and passing through Bowling Green. Unique breakfast menu with tasty coffee drinks. They also have a drive through if you dont feel like dining in! I tried the Sunrise Panini and the iced Raspberry Mocha - both were delicious!
Always love coming here. Wonderful coffee, my favorite is the Mocha. The German potato salad is delicious and zingy. A varied menu that offers sandwiches and breakfast bowls. Eggs are cooked to order. They really can put an egg on anything.Super Freindly and happy staff. There is a drive thru for convenience which I just used this morning, so happy I did, made my morning.
UNFORTUNATE! Dont expect the royal treatment. Staff is usually indifferent or rude. Food and coffee quality still okay, but not the jewel it used to be.Previous review when newer: Trendy, upbeat, comfortable and great food and coffee. Nice open space with ample seating, would make a good place for meetings or large parties. Menu items cooked and served fresh. Best cheese grits in Bowling Green! They bring your order to your table. Free WiFi.
So glad we found this place! A wonderful experience and the food was well priced and very tasty, definitely one of the best breakfast sandwiches Id ever had. I was initially sceptical about the air roasted coffee, but it turned out to be better than any other coffee Id had and Im not a big coffee drinker. Highly recommend! Friendly staff and great food!
The service is fast and friendly. I got a mocha latte. My husband got steak and eggs with a coffee and shot of espresso. Our bill was 17 dollars. Not bad and decent prices.
Had a bowl with cheese grits topped with over easy egg and bacon. Really, really good. In fact Ive duplicated it at home without the bacon... super easy and delicious. Im sure Ill visit this restaurant again and Ive already recommended it to others. The service was great and my order was fast. The drive thru is a little awkward if you drive a small car... the window is set unusually high so its hard to reach to exchange money, food, etc... Love the simplistic name👍.
I travel a lot and I love breakfast. This place is my new favorite! Great food and coffee. The girls that work there are very friendly and fun to chat with.
Delicious. Love the breakfast and brisket bowls. Coffee is great too.
Great experience!! The food combinations and presentation are original. Definitely more café in design/prices/presentation and less homestyle than many places in town. Good options for adult brunch drinks and LOTS of good coffee flavors. The atmosphere is wide open and good for groups. Major props for being locally supplied!!
Delicious iced mocha and tasty breakfast bowl!
This is a cute little coffee shop! The food is a little different but was very delicious. Didn’t have to wait long & the atmosphere is excellent. Definitely recommend.
Not bad.good for how cheap it is.
Today I got to coffee and eggs at about 8:30 AM on my way to work. The line was unusually long and took about 15 minutes. When I got to the front, I started to order a mocha and the cashier said the espresso machine wasn’t working. She suggested some other things but none of it sounded good so I left with no time to get an espresso somewhere else or I would be late for work. To speed things up they could’ve had two people taking orders and should have a back up espresso machine, or at least put up a sign or tell the customer before they wait forever. They have also made mine with regular milk before instead of soy like I requested, which I discovered once I got to work. However, another time they let me pay in change when I forgot my wallet so I partially forgive them.
First off some guy told us to get off his property when we pulled in...didnt know us and only because we didnt have a mask on. I have a medical condition that I cannot physically or mentally wear a mask. How rude.
Sweet. Fabulous coffee. Fun breakfast bowls and quality foods. Love it. Keep up the friendly service.
Raspberry Mocha & country ham bowl for myself, OJ & their signature breakfast bowl for hubs + we shared a sausage & cheddar frittata. Literally every single thing was delicious. We’re only in town for the weekend but we’ll be going back before we leave tomorrow!
Coffee was fantastic. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The brisket and steak were ok not much flavor kinda had a frozen and reheated taste. I would definitely go back for the coffee.
A coffee shop that serves beer and Irish coffee? Yes. Very yes. Pricey entrees but very tasty.
Great coffee and pastries. Awesome place to meet with folks and get stuff done. I think its one of the best kept secrets in Bowling Green
Fresh food ingredients, delicious croissants
Serving sizes were a bit small, but the coffee was really good. Its clean, spacious, and modern with plenty of options and friendly staff. Great place to meet friends for breakfast.
We stopped in there yesterday for breakfast, my husband got the steak and egg bowl that was served in a little coffee mug and the price $6.00 it was so bland no seasoning whatsoever no salt no pepper, he barely finished it I got the grilled cheese with a blue berry muffin the muffins are tiny and cost $2.50 each Starbucks muffins are way bigger for the same price, and we also got coffees our bill was $27 yikes!!!! We could have had a full meal at cracker barrel for that price, I will say the coffee was awesome though
Great coffee and food. And the building is eeally nice and spacious. Kind of a weird location but worth the drive.
First time there, loved supporting the small business. Especially when they are good!
Trendy spot, but the use of grits limits many of their breakfast choices...
My daughter and I were looking forward to having brunch here today. Walked up to the front door and there was a No Firearms sign. We were bummed but had to go elsewhere.
Not bad but a bit pricey. Food was tasty but portions were on the smaller side.
Delicious veggie breakfast bowl. Cheese grits are wonderful.
Get the Mediterranean, it’s awesome!!! Love this place.
This is a great place to get great coffee and great, unique food! You can tell the chef here has gone to great detail to create a great food experience. Love it!! Will certainly be back!
Great coffee and egg frittatas, very friendly service
Great food and finally a brunch place in BG with alcohol.
Super friendly staff, food was fantastic. The will add an egg to anything, literally!
I thought this would be a good place for breakfast. Its just a coffee shop with really expensive breakfast sandwiches.
Tasty and unusual menu items. The staff is warm and friendly. A trip to Coffee and Egg is well worth your time.
Your coffee is way over priced, $ 7 .00 for 2 regular coffee not specialty coffees, you are not Starbucks. Thats why the place was empty McDonalds coffee is better. Never will be back3/18/2019 @ 12:15 pm
Great place for breakfast or just for coffee. Delicious breakfast menu. Coffee, mochas, lattes, teas, pastries in a very comfortable setting. Friendly staff put a smile on my face
My boyfriend told me to remember this place so we could stop on the way back. The place was clean and the food was good. But if your looking for just a cup of food this place is for you.
I ordered the tumeric chai latte and it was honestly the best chai latte I have ever had in my life. The food was also wonderful. If you need a brunch place in BG, this is the place to go. Keep in mind that during lunch hours, this place is hopping and a bit crowded, but the food was more than worth the wait.
I absolutely love there frittatas and there cheese grits!!!
I wish I could give you a good review. Last time I was in there the service was HORRIBLE! We were told they didnt have an item and would sub it out for something else. Ok thats fine. But then they added $2 to my bill for the substitute I didnt want. The menu also said a coffee was one price and then we were charged much more. When I asked and pointed it out in was told it was wrong. I said no thank you so they got me a croissant. The croissant was so hard it was unedible. I told the server. Even hitting it with my fork (it made a loud sound). She didnt even say sorry. I talked to the manage... Again not even a sorry. She said, well, we cooked them this morning. Well. They were over cooked then. I will not be back.
Decent coffee. Thats it. Eggs were raw. Panini was just a sandwich.
Great service, food was superb, prices are fair.
Coffee was great and the eggs were delicious!! Everything we ate had the best flavor and served to perfection.
The place was very nice and food was good.
The food is fresh and a nice atmosphere.
Very cute location. Great coffee and perfect breakfast bites. Must try and support local!
I live in Louisville and had a doctors appointment in this area. After realizing the rumble in our stomachs and how early I was going to be to my appointment, my husband and I decided to stop somewhere for breakfast. This place was right off the interstate, and on the way. So we stopped in. The caramel Macchiato was great, not too sweet, not too bitter. They even had a sugar-free selection for my diabetic husband. But my FAVORITE part about this place is the Mediterranean style vegetables with eggs, toast and fruit on the side. It had chopped onion, green pepper, marinated tomatoes, mushrooms, cream and monterey cheese if I recall correctly. Eggs anyway you want them, all piled on top of a thick piece of bread. It was so fresh and delicious it inspired me to make my own version for breakfast in the following weeks once we got home to Louisville. Im sooo excited to stop here again for breakfast during our next trip to Bowling Green and try something new!!
Coffee & Eggs is a perfect place to catch a breakfast bowl, egg sanwdwich, pastries or some coffee when traveling between Louisville and Nashville. I have stayed here for hours doing work so that I can eat breakfast and lunch. Multigrain croissant sandwich is insane.
Love the food, the service is great and the atmosphere is cool. Will definitely be coming back here!
I enjoyed the Mediterranean Shirred Eggs very much. The blend of flavors was very enjoyable and everything was very fresh!
Upscale breakfast. Very nice atmosphere.
My first time at Coffee and Eggs and I will go back there when I’m in the area again. The food and the iced coffee was awesome!
Love this place! Excellent food Excellent coffee!
