He listened to me and found the car I wanted in the price range I wanted. I really enjoyed my experience at Thayer Toyota. Lisa the finance officer was very friendly and she gave me some good advice. If 0 stars were an option That’s what I would give. Went in looking for a RAV4 they had one coming in mid September so we decided to put a $500 nonrefundable deposit down to hold it. Middle of September I call to get an idea of when they think the car will be in. They look in their system with our last name to see when it will be here and they can’t find anything. Turns out they had really poor miscommunication and sold it already to somebody else because we didn’t do a credit check, when we were told all we needed was to put $500 down. Then tried telling us that the $500 is nonrefundable and we couldn’t get it back. After a few days of hassle we finally got Our money back. I do not recommend GOING TO THIS DEALERSHIP. VERY DISAPPOINTED

KAL is our salesperson. He is very well versed on all Toyota products. He answered all of our questions professionally and quickly. He even handled the financing of my husbands new car. Im 55yo and have had quite a few cars/suvs in my life. Never have I had such poor treatment and poor service from any dealership. Please also know that Thayer has multiple dealerships in Bowling Green, Ohio. I would think that all of them are just as bad. Buyer beware. Dont believe the other higher star reviews. Must be friends of the family. :)

I bought a used car from Jeff because I really trusted his word when buying a reliable car. I really thought that purchasing a car from this company would be a better experience then just going to grab one off the street but I guess I would of had better luck doing so. Long story short I bought a used car from Jeff and 3 months later the check engine light came on. I’ve reached out to him and he was acting like he could possibly get me in something better and when I came in he said the best thing he can do for me is make me pay 400 dollars monthly for a new car I couldn’t lease I had to buy ..? My car payment is 250 why would I pay that much more for a car on top of still paying off my loan for the car I have now ?! I was super disappointed in the “nothing I can do about it now” attitude I have received from this company and in the course of 5 months I have already invested 1000+ into this so called nice ride .. just be careful of the lemons that people try to push on you keep in mind at the end of the day your best interest is not taken into consideration when these guys are trying to sell cars. What makes it even worse is I’m 5 months pregnant and have been dealing with this since I found out about the pregnancy as if that isn’t a stressful enough. Definitely got sold a 🍋

Bought a car had to take uber out there twice cost a fortune. After hours of waiting was able to driving it home in a beginning of a snow storm. No heat in the car windows fogged up I couldnt see then it started overheating. Eventually had to pull off the main street and tge car stopped running. A good Samaritan camw by and ket me get in his truck with his dog t o warm up.They took that car back gave me one to drive home missed an entire day of work because by that time it was in full storm I am very afraid of storms but figured I would be home before the storm driving the loaner car had to pull over to knock the ice off the wipers. Heat in the car but full snow storm i was scared upset knowing i bought a 🍋 and missing work. I really at this point dont want to ever drive again. I was so scared my hands hurt my arms my back where I carry stress. It was horrible and with my credit score the cruez.was my option to buy... oh great I got a bad 🚗

So, my daughter took her 2020 Toyota Yaris for its first check up (7,500 miles oil change, etc.) about 10 days ago. We let the service department know ahead of time that she will be taking the car out of state for school and we wanted it to be thoroughly looked over to make sure no issues will come up in the next 4 months. Lindsay made a note on our account to get the car ready for a trip. So far, so good. My daughter had her appointment the following day. It took about 45 min and she was sent on her way.The next day, Lindsay calls my husband to let him know that the tires had not been rotated and she asked for my daughter to come back in so it could be taken care of. She didnt call me, because according to her, moms sometimes have the tendency to overreact!!! My husbands name wasnt on the ticket. My daughter went back right away to get the tires taken care of. The only issue, it wasnt the tires that were the problem, but instead the OIL CHANGE had NOT been done the day before!!! So the dealership flat out lied to us!!!Now, the new thing is that the tire pressure light comes on!!! Makes me wonder if the tires were actually checked!!! Also wondering what else might not have been looked at properly!!! Absolutely not happy with this service experience!!! This should never have happened!!! Were moving our daughter on Friday and are hoping everything will work out.UPDATE:Thank you so much to Cyndi Hoyt who took the time to have the car checked over one more time yesterday. Feeling so much more confident with my daughter taking the car out of state now for the next four months. Cyndi always does a great job and provides wonderful customer service.

Visited them to test drive and purchase a vehicle, when I arrived the vehicle was not there. It seems they let one of their associates use it to go on a vacation to Tennessee. Granted, I did not have an appointment, but needless to say I was rather disappointed. They lost a sale that day, as I ended up making a purchase elsewhere.

My experience with Ben, and at Thayer Toyota in general, could not have been more different than the one described by M S. My situation was not an easy one for a Salesperson to navigate, but he handled it as well as anyone possibly could have. I have always been skeptical of Salespeople, especially when buying cars, and I went in to Thayer Toyota that day with the same pre-conceived idea of what the experience was going to be like and I could not have been more wrong. I was not easygoing at all when I first started working with Ben, which undoubtedly made his job more difficult and less enjoyable, but he had the same positive demeanor with me from the first minute on the lot to the last minute in the office. He helped me find a vehicle that I was interested in, and he did a great job of showing it to me, but giving me enough space to drive it and decide for myself, by myself, if it was something that I would be happy with or not. I decided that I wanted to buy the car, but I wanted to make sure that I was getting the best deal on that car, so I left for a couple of hours to go to lunch, and Ben never once pressured me to stay and make a snap decision. I actually went to another Toyota Dealership and found the exact same car for the same price. They even offered to take $250 more off of the price if I bought it right then and there, but I decided to go back to Thayer and purchase the car from Ben, specifically because of how he had treated me throughout the process and how patient he had been with me. Ben made me feel like he actually cared about whether or not I would still like the car six months after I drove it off the lot, and THAT was unique. THAT is what stood out to me, and THAT is why I will be back to see Ben again in a few years when I need my next car, and why I will be referring everyone that I know that is in the market for a car to Ben at Thayer Toyota. I also met the Used Car Manager, Chad, and the Finance Manager Joe, and both of them were great. They all answered every single question that I had, and they all made sure that I was 100% comfortable throughout the entire process. This was by far the best experience that I have EVER had purchasing a vehicle.

The finance department worked within my budget and kept my payments affordable. I had to purchase a new car key because I lost my spare. The man I talked to initially wasnt very helpful about my situation and wasnt exactly friendly but I brushed it off, because I really needed that key. The man I talked to later on about the service seemed a little more friendly, which I was thankful for considering my stressful situation. When I got a call about the price the next day, I was completely caught off guard because it was a lot more then expected. I was told the day before that programming the key would be $100, plus whatever the cost of the key would be. Nobody told me a 2011 Toyota Camry car key would cost $330 to replace. I did a little research and noticed the cost for a new key is (at the most) about $20 at wholesale cost. They made a lot of money off of me that day. I will probably take my business elsewhere in the future. I feel completely taken advantage of and will be pursuing further action.

Beware if looking to discuss a car posted online. During discussions they either lacked even rudimentary administrative skills or integrity as they changed the price upwards twice over the course of a day. An enhancement to their quality control is a necessity. I would be weary as to their ability to manage the paperwork appropriately on a purchase as large as a vehicle.

Wow...we recently bought three vehicles from Thayer Toyota and the expierence was beyond our expectations. Rasha (sales rep) was very in tuned to what we were looking for. She allotted all the time we needed to make a sound decision on what to buy and she even called us a few times to get everything in order. Mike (deal maker :)) was wonderful as well. He gave us fair trades on our vehicles and provided us with knowledge of all of our options. He took time explaining to us, what would be best for our family. Rachel (finance guru) was patient in doing all of our paperwork. She made sure that we understood everything we were signing and allowed for questions. The salesmen who teamed up on me should be nominated for Oscars. Youd think Paul Thayer was going to be in a breadline after the deal. My trade now sits on their lot at 130% markup without the body work they said they would have had to invest in (including a whole new rear bumper - please). If my wife wasnt so set on getting a new car that day, I would have said forget it. Just beware. They use all the tricks and techniques. Be prepared to walk away. They got the best of me this time. Dont feel good about the deal.

I bought a car from this place and I was just subjected to the most demeaning customer service experience ever.I dropped the car off for service and got called to pick up when it was done. When I got there, one of the men I spoke to insisted they never call customers to pick up cars after he ridiculed my emphasis on the r in the pronunciation of car. There was no need for him to repeat my request several times when he clearly knew what I meant(unless of course they service other instruments apart from cars).When he went to the back to find out find out who knows what,the second gentleman was kind enough to find out my name, get out my folders and have me on out in a few minutes with my car. The rude fellow came back only to render a weak apology while dwelling on why he acted in the way he did. The end point of this whole rant is that,i regret buying from them and will not recommend this place to anyone in my circle. Ive dealt with other dealerships including Thayer Honda and it has always been very pleasant.

I had been told that I had a wheel bearing going out by sockman auto who was not able to do the work. I took my prius to Thayer auto for full inspection (not telling them it was going out, I wanted to see if they caught it) they told me my prius had a few issues and I paid them to fix what was needed (they did not catch that the wheel bearing was going out even though you would expect a better inspection job from a dealer considering how much a dealership charges). A couple months later I had to replace the wheel bearing. I do not intend to return to this dealership for repair or inspection related services.

Ben was your typical pushy stereotype of a salesman. Rude, condescending, and talked down to me telling me I couldnt get a good car in my daughters price range of 5 k . Ummmmm so basically your saying all the cars Thayer has in my range are bad cars? 🤔Will NEVER go back! Called used car salesman manager Chad to complain he offered No apology and no other salesperson to work with since I told him I was not comfortable working with Ben because of the way he talked to me.
