Replaced the fuel lines one my HHR for a really great price. Quick and efficient! 5 stars is not enough!

Devin helped tow me thru triple a last night. He was so incredibly helpful. I wasnt fully ready for him, had to move a couple bikes out of my storage unit where the car was being relocated to. He also helped me with his tools, break apart my folding ramp into two pieces since mine were in a box somewhere, (moving), and helped me push the car up the ramps into the storage container. Thanks again for outstanding service Devin from Shipleys, and for being patient as I wasnt entirely ready.

Jake B was awesome!!!! After dealing with AAA three times within 24 hours to get my vehicle towed out of a low rise parking garage Jake came to the rescue. He was able to get car out of garage fast by us manually pushing and steering vehicle out and then up on the flat bed. He was very professional and got the job done extremely quick. My daughter attends BGSU and needed a headlight replaced on her Honda. I live in Cleveland and didnt have time to drive to BG to fix it myself. After checking reviews, Shipley Automotive sounded like the best place to have the work done. Not only did Jeremy from Shipley Automotive get her in the next day, he only charged her half the original quoted price.  Quality work at great price is hard to find these days. This is a perfect fit for college students on a limited budget. I highly recommend Shipley Automotive,  a place you can trust!

Shipley has repeatedly done the best work on my 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS since I first got the car and had the engine replaced by them. Ive taken this vehicle other places and let me tell you reader; Shipley has NOT ONCE taken advantage of me, and have kept meticulous records of the repairs they did during these complex operations. Ive called weeks later to ask about specific details during the engine swap process to make decisions about current maintenance and they always had an answer.Other shops in BG I would go for a $150 dollar repair only for them to try and convince me to change all of my plugs AND coils all at once... The engine I got only had 204 miles on it.... Coils are VERY expensive.Shipley would never do that, and I even gave them a chance just to see. I am someone who feigns ignorance to see how far someone will try to take advantage of me. Ive gone to many of the shops in BG. This one is the best by more than far.Multiple times I have cross referenced their suggestions, pricing, and opinions with other companies. After doing so much work to this car; I can tell you with 200% certainty Shipley will not only stop you from making frivolous expensive decisions, theyll help you track down the issue.This local shop will from now on get my business every time. At first, I thought this was a great company! The guy who towed my car was very nice and punctual. They told me that they would start diagnostic work on a Monday & later call and update me, which I had no problem with. Thursday rolls around, I decide to call and check-in since I heard nothing, I was on vacation, so again I didn’t mind. When I called, they had the audacity to be rude to me while speaking on the phone AFTER they said they would have my car in on Monday. They didn’t call me back until the NEXT Monday, to say that they needed to do more diagnostic work to figure out what was wrong. I finally decided that I would have them speak to my father instead of dealing with them myself. After about 2 and half weeks, they basically tell my father that I need the motor replaced. They offered for me to not pay the $130 I owed them, if I handed them the title. HAHAHA my brand new headlights cost more than that, no thanks. My little brother went to pick up my car for me, and he asked them if they would be willing to help him load the car onto his trailer, as my car could barely run without dying. They offered him no assistance whatsoever (: I would recommend trying a different business!!

Bryan and Rick were great. They were transparent, gave me a fair price for my trade, and it was a hassle free experience. The vehicle I purchased was almost $2000 under MSRP which was AMAZING and they put brand new clutch in it. I worked directly with my credit union so financing wasnt done there - which made for easy and fast vehicle transfers.I think I spent a grand total of an hour and a half in the store between 2 days. Day 1, I called and asked if I could test drive the vehicle and they had it ready when I arrived. Drove it, it was FANTASTIC! I was seriously hoping it wouldnt be so great bc I didnt NEED NEED a new car haha. But it was the car I had been casually looking for for about 7 years. It was the color, transmission, and price I wanted so I decided to check it out. After chatting with Bryan for about 10 minutes after the test drive I went home, made the decision around 4pm, called my CU and started the process. Went back the next day, they drove my trade to make sure there wasnt anything wrong with it, I e-signed the loan papers through the CU, signed like 4 pieces of paper in the office and we were done.They gave me a 30 day warranty and treated me with respect through the whole process. It was a super easy sale/purchase.

Cant say enough good stuff about Rich from Shipley! Friday evening, every warning system in my car started blinking, then the entire electrical system went out. My car had no power or lights. I was stranded and scared and it was starting to get dark. Spoke with Rich and he assured me hed be there quickly to get me and my car safely off the road. Within 10 minutes Rich arrived! He was able to get my car restarted but didnt think it would be safe to drive given the electrical system was still showing so many warnings. Rich was so courteous and respectful. I trusted he had my best interest at heart! He towed my car and got me home safely. The price was also so reasonable! Ive had other experiences in the past when I have felt I was being fed a line of junk just to make a buck but I wholeheartedly believe Rich wanted to do what was right for me, the customer. I will definitely recommend Shipley to anyone in need. Although I hope to never need a tow again, I have saved the phone number and will never call anyone else! Thanks again Rich!

Young man was very nice and helpful when my husband needed a tow requested through our AAA one cold night last October. He had him sit in his warmed truck and turned on the radio while he carefully checked the battery and started the car.My husband then gratefully drove home safe and warm. I was actually amazed by the level of commitment the tower Robert had. He didnt leave me hanging and he was very smart. I don’t know why they have such great reviews. This is the WORST experience i’ve ever had at an auto shop. I asked them to figure out what’s wrong with my car and they did, but then they took it upon themselves to take apart my whole transmission WITHOUT asking and then try to charge me $300. After I told them that I’m not paying for that, it took them TWO WEEKS to come up with a price for me. I also took my boyfriends car here to get it fixed, and a week after it was “fixed” the same problem we took it in for started happening again. This place is a joke and they have absolutely no idea how customer service works. Tried to argue with me and tell me i’m wrong after doing work on my car without asking me first. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Try Frank’s automotive down the street. Super nice people who actually know what customer service entails.

My boyfriend Anthony works the morning shift and so far their really down to earth people and my boyfriend loves to work for em. Good to see people actually enjoy going to work and enjoying what they do.

I went out to start my car to go up to the University tonight and my Battery was dead, So I made a call to a friend and she so happens to know him from a previous time he helped her and she gave me his number. My van died on I-75 and I made it off the exit ramp and to Auto Zone. Was recommended Shipley Auto. Called after-hours, Matt answered and said that he would look at it. I drove to his shop, he looked it over and found a major repair was needed. Recommended getting AAA roadside assistance to get it towed back to Michigan. I did and Shipley Auto towed it back since it needed warranty work done on it. Very appreciative that Matt Shipley went out of his way to help my kids and I stranded in Bowling Green, Ohio.

Great service

Might be good at taking, but they are the most incompetent mechanics in town. It took them days to diagnose and repair the issue, except it didnt rectify the problem, car wouldnt start again the day after I gave them 680 for a bogus repair. They had my car for 13 days, never could figure out the problem. It took my cousin 25 minutes in his garage to figure out I had bad fuel injectors. Shipley Auto sucks...at everything. Except towing. Which is the only good reviews youll find on them.

Everything started out fine. I called in the morning to schedule a tow truck through AAA in the afternoon. That went fine. I called back that afternoon to just update them on where I wanted the car to go: A different shop. They said ok, well get you. I waited two hours. I called them back: I had no appointment and I never called. I had to call up AAA again to get another tow truck to come get my car. I guess because I decided to take my car to a different shop, I suddenly just didnt matter.

I didn’t know there wasn’t anywhere to wait while your car was being done. They need a professional car to transport their customers because i was uncomfortable the whole time. They also left my car a mess with dirt all over the floors, seats, and doors. When they couldn’t find my locking lug nut key they threw all my stuff around in the glove box and trunk and created a giant mess. The dirt won’t go away either.

Today, 3/31/19, I experienced vehicle trouble as I was stranded @ Dorr St/Byrne Rd and I had to utilized my AAA membership. While waiting i called my personal mechanic and he told me it was probably my alternator because I totally lost all power. AAA sent to my rescue Shipley Auto and Towing, from Bowling Green Oh, not only were they prompt in getting to me; the driver Bobby was professional and polite as well. Bobby had me pop the hood checked my battery cables and discovered this was the problem, Bobby used a $4 tool he recently purchased from Walmart to tighten my cables and vrooom Besty fired up and I was on my way. No expensive alternator repairs...THANK YOU TO AAA, SHIPLEY AND MY MAN BOBBY.

Absolutely fantastic. I had driven my 1999 Silverado 3 hours north of my home to drop off a washer and dryer to my son. When pulling off the exit from I-75 the brake pedal went right to the floor and the brake light came on. The brake line was split below the reservoir and brake fluid was being sprayed onto the exhaust manifold. So there I was, on a Sunday with a broken down truck, 3 hours from home. I called AAA who dispatched a tow truck from Shipley’s. The driver was very helpful and towed my truck to my son’s house a few miles away. I called Shipley’s the next day and they came, picked up the truck, replaced the brake line for a very reasonable rate and didn’t charge me for the towing. I picked it up the following weekend. Great service, and very reasonable rates!!

DO NOT COME HERE. My car stopped running and I had my car towed Monday. They lied to me saying they were working on it. They never tried to even start it until Wednesday. Barely worked on it and called me Thursday saying they dont know whats wrong with it and to send it somewhere else but still charged me over two hundred dollars! They were sloppy and forgetful. I called o have my car towe back to me and beg totally forgot to even do it ! I waited four hours before I called them back to find they were closed and had to call the next day! The guy working on my car sole the title of it out of the glove compartment in a an attempt to sell it without y knowledge ! They were AWFUL and RUDE to me and my family. Worst customer service ever i HATED it and regret taking my car there !
