We bought a 2006 Ford Explorer and gave top dollar for it, it had some issues we wanted fixed before we paid in full. They told us they would fix to make us happy. Well once they had all of money they only fixed the 1st thing that was wrong. Cruise was working fine when brought into get 1st thing fixed. Called and said 1st thing fixed picked car up no cruise. Took back and they refused to fix until I told them I wanted money back. Finally fixed the cruise 2 other things we wanted fixed when we gave final checks till have not been fixed.I would not recommend any one to this company!!
Drove 5 hours to purchase at this dealership. The F250 I purchased was exactly as promised, delivered on time and spotless. My sales rep, Dillon Cosby, met me in the parking lot and explained every feature in detail. Highly recommend him if you are in the market for new or used. By far the easiest purchase I’ve ever made. Can’t say enough good things about Dillon, Scott and the entire staff at Greenwood Ford!
Everyone was courteous and nice, especially the courtesy driver. However, it should not take 4 1/2 hours to get an oil change . I was not told it was going to take 4 1/2 hours therefore I was not prepared to spend my entire day in Bowling Green waiting on my vehicle. You’ll have to step up your game if you want to change my oil again. Wish I had had a better experience.
This service department is just completely inept. My latest issue is the last straw hence this review. I had recently had the transmission cooler replaced and upon changing my own oil since I no longer trust this dealership from other failures the front sway bar hit me in the head because the nuts weren’t put back on it or if they were they weren’t tight. I would advise using other ford dealers for service or if you can do it yourself. They just do not have the attention to detail or care about what they are doing.
I recently found myself with a vehicle problem while out of state. And it happened to be blocks away from Greenwood ford dealership. I called and brought my truck in, they walked me through everything and even gave me a courtesy ride to the nearest hotel. They also gave me info on the best places to eat in the area.. my truck was fixed by the next day.. thanks again to the receptionist and the service department for your help.. I would definitely recommend this place to any and all.
The service we received from Josh (the salesperson) was excellent. We told him what we had to work with and he made it happen. That was awesome! We are also very satisfied with the vehicle that we purchased.
Customer service seems to be priority for sure ! My guy Jim Beam is definitely on point very professional!
Have bought two automobiles there in the last 3 years. Found everyone there to be very personable and very qualified from Sales (mainly Bob Barnard), service (mainly Chris Dillard) as well as the owner Mr Renshaw. Love the beautiful showroom and the positive attitudes around that place.
I was very satisfied with Greenwood Ford. The service was great and ALL the people were awesome.I would definitely recommend them .The next automobile l buy Greenwood Ford will be the first place l go.😁
A place I can trust to take care of our family cars with fair labor and parts cost. Friendly and knowledgable.
Robert in sales and Steve in finance took exceptional care of us!! They went out of their way to make sure we were satisfied. What a great experience!
Dont go here. Not helpful and tries the whole I could lose my job trying to get this price for you lines. Doesnt try to get you financing unless they are going to make a descent commission. Went to Carmax. Much easier and better deals.
The service was fast and great. The only criticism I have is that when you try to call to set up an appointment re: recalls for example, no one answers the phone or returns voicemails. My appointment was the result of their outside call service calling to let me know that I needed to have my airbag checked.
Everyone was great. This is the third vehicle we have bought from Greenwood Ford and each time it was great. Alex met us in the parking lot by the Escapes and was able to get keys to drive. Alex and Scott helped locate an Escape that had everything I wanted. Steve was fantastic on getting it financed at a super great rate. We had a blast. It was so much fun. I highly recommend Greenwood Ford if you are looking for a car.
I almost chose no stars but decided to give one star because I have been buying from and dealing with the local Ford dealership my entire adult life, as did my parents before me, and have never had a problem like today. I had attempted twice on Thursday to schedule an appointment on line as I have done before but never received a confirmation email. I called Friday morning and was told they no longer schedule service on line (even though it’s still on their website) and that they were really backed up yesterday. They told me they opened at 8am on Saturdays and suggested I come early Saturday morning as they now operate on a first-come, first-serve basis. I arrived just a few minutes after 8am for a “Works” oil change, etc. I elected to wait for them to finish because I had other things to do in town before a 2pm appointment. They told me it would be a bit of a wait, which was fine, because I could never have imagined it would be a 5 hour wait!! It’s never taken much over an hour on their worst days! Today was absolutely ridiculous!!!
Had to go in for a recall on airbag. Called in and scheduled it. When I got there had to redo all my information like I had no appointment. Took about 5 hours so I was there most the day. I would like to go back to get flushes done but I don’t like waiting so definitely would need a ride to drop my car off. Service wasn’t bad but did leave dirt on my dash panels and the dirty floor protector mats.
Very disappointed with factory recall repairs. Technician left scratches, soiled carpet and smears of what looked like blood.
I received mailed notices about getting our vehicle checked out for recalls and they got me in and determined all systems were good. Had to wait around for a little while as they were busy but overall I was pleased with same day service.
Wow. On a cross-country RV trip with a deadline to get to New York for a funeral, our 17 y/o Ford F250 Super Duty diesel starts losing power and running rough. Brought truck to Greenwood Ford and had an analysis of the issue within an hour. Truck fixed a half day sooner than promised and runs like a Swiss watch! Their Service Team is amazing.
My service rep, J Beam, is great! He assures any service performed on the car is complete and satisfactory. I highly recommend Greenwood Ford Lincoln.
Took my car in for warranty work. Ended up paying OVER $800 and 2 days later broke down on me out of state. The Ford dealer THERE fixed me up within a week and guess what WARRANTY COVERED IT. Problem is now i have to figure out a way to get back there to get my car (was there for a funeral when it broke down on us). When I called Jay in service......well....what do you want us to do about it? How about tell me what my $800 bought me because the other Ford dealer is telling me you ripped me off.
I was immediately welcomed and given the thumbs up for my key replacement requests, no problem! Service writer was great! I’ll be back. I promise!
Was informed that parts had to be ordered for our 2013 Ford Escape. Was told that if the parts arrived Saturday the technician would come in and finish the work. This did not happen had to wait for our vehicle until Monday. Was never updated about the progress of the work, was on hold for over 20 minutes trying to reach the service department. The estimate was also 150 dollars more then was quoted. This dealer ship use to have good quality customer service and work but that no longer exist.
Well everyone was nice but, I did notice my tire pressure was all different an had to drive back through to get it fixed.
Greg kept us laughing during our truck buying experience. Thanks so much for your help!
Got me in and out in good time very courteous and professional really nice people I am glad I chose Green wood Ford. Lincoln
Poor Service!! I took my car in for a TIRE REPAIR due to a drywall screw being it the tread. Dealership called and said they had put a new tire on the car--Note: The car has 18,000 miles on it with Michelin Tires and the screw was in the middle of the tire tread. Jenny the service writer had wrote the service request wrong. Why on earth would someone think I would want a new tire, when the one with 18,000 miles on it just had a screw in the tread. The dealership acted like I was a lair over me wanting a new tire, when all I wanted was for them to repair the old one. They basically TOOK me for $277.00 over a 30.00 tire repair. You would think the Tech wouldve questioned the service request. I will be going to Hunt Ford in Franklin KY from now on for service. Ive dealt with Greenwood for 20 years with both good and bad experiences mostly bad from the sales side. Ive bought 9 cars from them in those years. 3 in the past 6 years. but they will never see another dime from me.
I live in Florida and I will only buy vehicles from Greenwood Ford. I’ve had wonderful buying experiences with Scott South for years. I tell him what I want and he finds it. Paperwork is done and vehicle is delivered in less than 3 days. Absolutely couldn’t be any easier. Cannot recommend Scott and the folks at Greenwood Ford any more!
I will never use Greenwood Ford again. I took my Lincoln in for the rear toe link recall repair. They said they had the pets to complete the repair when I scheduled the appointment on a Friday. When I brought the vehicle in the following Monday, they did one side and said they didn’t have the parts to complete the other side. When they brought my car around and I got in to leave, I noticed the driver side front door weather stripping hanging off the door jamb, preventing the door from closing. How they managed to do that while performing a rear toe link replacement, I’ll never know. When I brought it to their attention they acted like I was crazy and it was no big deal. Not to mention that when the employee came to tell me they didn’t have the parts to complete the repair, he spoke to me like I was incapable of understanding the specifics of the repair. Every person I have dealt with there on 3 different occasions now has been rude and condescending. It’s like they think Greenwood Ford is the only dealer around. I’ll be going to Hunt Ford from now on.
Prompt service on my Explorer today, received a call that it was ready soon after dropping it off. Checkout was quick and easy. Vehicle was parked in a numbered space and was easy to locate. Thanks Greenwood!
Fantastic experience! The folks at Greenwood had everything ready to go when I arrived from out of town. Thank you Mason and Jelisa!
Terrible service, huge turnaround time and unprofessional. They worked on my vehicle for more than two weeks. I had to leave a ton of messages, because they never answer the phones, to even get an update. At first I was quoted at $1400, but when I got there when it was finally done it was $2900. When I talked to them they said that I had never asked the price when they asked about another job so that’s why I didn’t know about it. On top of that my back left tire was almost flat when I got my car back. Super unprofessional, never going back.
Service was great, wait times were unsatisfactory! Dropped my vehicle off @ 10:00 & didn’t get it back until after 2:00 p.m. This is very inconvenient for those of us who do not live in BG! 4 Hours is a lot of time to kill when you just need your vehicle serviced & don’t have a car to drive. Greenwood needs to go back to making appointments!!
Always a pleasure to visit this location. They make every service stress free! My Favorite representative is J.Beam, excellent customer service! I drive an hour to be serviced!
They are not well knowable techs. Every time I have brought my truck to them for Warranty work I have had to take it to another place to fix their mistakes. First time they tried to tell me it’s all the lights on the front of the truck making my BCM bad. Lights are hooked to upfitter switch per Ford design. Problem actually was bad front camera, bad Tpms sensors, bad heated seats and bad heated steering wheel. I had to make them change the tpms sensors and still they didn’t program them right. During diagnostic and work they messed up my trailer break module that I pointed out to my service rep before I left with the truck. He said to drive it and it should go out before My steering wheel comes in. It didn’t and when I wanted them to fix their mistake, instead of them owning up to their employees mistake they charged me. Finally my steering wheel came in after I had to keep checking on it. Well I took it to them so they could change that, surely they can’t mess that up. I was wrong they changed it alright but now the steering wheel is crooked. Way to go now once again it will go to another shop to fix Fords incompetence. They are quick to blame one of the many computers on the truck instead of their own people not knowing how to properly diagnose repair or replace oem parts correctly, even if it is a Ford known part defect issue.
If you need auto services I would highly recommend Greenwood Ford, they have a really knowledgeable team & if it’s not rite, they ll stay on it until it is, they re friendly & they get rite to you to see what you want. A plus
I came into the body shop to ask some questions about my vehicle. My air wasnt blowing out cold and I didnt know if a previous accident was the problem. I went into the office and spoke with Britni and the manager. I explained the issue and was told that they would have their body man look at it. It turned out I just needed some frion. Instead of just sending me to service, which wouldve been easier on them, they took care of the issue right there. It was quick and easy. Everyone in the body shop was so nice and easy to talk to. They answered all of ky questions about damage to my car. I even got a free estimate very quickly. If I ever have any other issues or questions about my vehicle I will always take my car to greenwood Ford. They dont just fix Fords and Lincolns. They work on mostly every brand of car, truck, orSUV. So 10/10 would highly recommend Greenwood Ford service center and body shop to anyone with vehicle troubles.
Steve, our service department contact went out of his way to get our truck in for repairs ahead of a long road trip. No other dealer could look at our vehicle for at least two weeks. Steve worked us in the day I called and was even able to get the repairs done the same day. Great news since the dealership is a little over an hour from our house. So far, very satisfied with the repairs. Much thanks to Steve and the team at Greenwood Ford.
Great place. Was in and out Took only 1 hr and 30min. Look Wes up he did a good job
Auto buying can be quite the challenge! You can find any vehicle you want on line. It comes down to who will offer the best deal. I searched CarGurus and found the exact match at Greenwood Ford (I live 75 miles away). I called and talked to a salesperson, Bob. He wanted a few minutes to research and get back with me. (I needed an incentive before I took the trip to Bowling Green!). Bob called back in 10 minutes with a very competitive offer for the new truck! So we hit the road to Bowling Green! When we got there the truck was clean and parked in the font door. We were greeted by a sales person who called Bob. Gave me the keys and said try her out! While we were out on the test drive they had evaluated my vehicle and had an offer ready when we got back. After VERY little haggling and 10 minutes later we had a deal! Bob and manager Scott treated us like royalty. The buying experience was the best in my 50 years of buying! I would recommend to anyone to give Greenwood Ford a chance if you are in the market for a vehicle!
JB the service writer was very friendly and helpfulThat’s the best I can say. Took my 2016 f150 in for recalls and a check engine light. Thinking I know the dealership will be a little higher but that’s ok. I did not expect 129.00 diagnostics. Never lifted the hood, just pulled a code. That can be done for free elsewhere. 59.00 or 69.00 would be more in line for the :30 second code pull. Estimated 440.00 to fix canister purge valve. In today’s world of research I can’t believe dealers are still trying to rob people.I found the OEM part for 85.00 and I can change it myself in 10 minutes 2 nuts and four clips. Sad!!
Worse dealership I ever been to. They were very shady. And do not keep their word. Id highly suggest going anywhere else.
I was in Florida when the Ford app said it time to plan your next oil change. I called Ford in Inverness Florida and they were two weeks out on oil changes so I was headed to Kentucky so I called Greenwood Ford in Bowling Green Kentucky the service manager told me he did not have a wait not even on his maintenance and that I could come straight here and I told him it was Thursday before I could get there and they were waiting on me they fix my truck in about 6 1/2 hours which was truly amazing along with my oil change.
Had a loud squeal from my front wheel and suspected a caliper was stuck. Service tech found a rock wedged into the caliper and removed it. Fortunately no damage to caliper or brake system. I was charged a very reasonable price for the inspection and corrective action. Very pleased with the service.
I work as a transporter for RVs all over the country. When I woke up from my 10 hour layover my truck would not crank. I called a closer Ford dealership and they simply said they could not even see me until Wednesday. This dealership welcomed me and immediately began to work on my truck and actually solve my problems the same day. The technician was super knowledgeable and the rest of the Staff were amazing to deal with. Thank you guys, for keeping me on the road!
Mike Dixon made this the best vehicle transaction I can remember.
This was my first purchase of a brand new vehicle from a dealership. Great big shout out to Shelby, Steven and Scott for making it an awesome experience. They were very friendly and helpful, and made my experience very pleasant. Thanks to them I am now the proud owner of a 2020 Ford explorer. So if your in the market for a new vehicle Greenwood Ford and these wonderful folks are who you need to go see.
These are great people. I have purchased 5 vehicles from here for members of my family. They have always done a great job working with me in getting the perfect fit for my needs as well as some of my wants too.
I am a return customer. I bought my Jeep there 3 years ago and now my truck. I love that Greenwood Ford always works with you to give you the best deal. They go above and beyond expectations. Thank you so much for always being so helpful.
Brought car in to be fixed for heater core and convertible top for 2001 mustang gt. They fixed what I had issues with but when I received the car back the heat was on full blast. They did not put my dash in right and messed up the metal harness to my radio. The convertible top never worked. I bring it back telling them this and they say there’s nothing they can do. The parts are obsolete they kept my car all summer. Wouldn’t answer their phone. Only when I showed up to the dealership did they tell me they’re not working on my car. I was scammed out of almost $3,000 dollars and have had probably the most infuriating experience of my life. Never come to this place for any reason.
I had never set foot in Greenwood Ford. I had a truck issue and took my truck there rather than my local dealer due to previous issues. They were very quick to diagnose the problem. JB was very helpful and courteous with all his information. I had an extended warranty and had issues with them not paying for everything (as usual). JB was very helpful with relaying info and the tech was able to get the job done quickly. I highly recommend this service department. Thank you all for the help.
Over all good experience with the place being so busy. Im satisfied.
I had went in cause I had winning numbers on a Monopoly Game. I didnt win the money, but I got a pair of earbuds for my participation and the employees were great...
The service department fixed my truck quickly and efficiently.
This is our second vehicle at Greenwood Ford, always friendly and hooks it up on the deals... highly recommend for anyone in the market looking for a new vehicle.
This is the worst dealership to stop at. I dealt with them twice now. The first time we discussed working on my vehicle and told them to not to exceed 3,000 dollars, the bill was 4,600 dollars. The dealership would not refund hardly any of my money when they did extra jobs not approved of. When I left the dealership that day, my vehicle made grinding noises and I had to cancel my vacation. When I returned the next day, they were rude, did not refund hardly any money, did not test drive my vehicle after all the repairs and had the nerve to ask why I canceled my trip when my car was making noises.Today I stopped to get a tire fixed that was under warranty I bought from the first visit (I would have never stopped if it wasnt for the warranty). I went in and the service person who charged me more before tried to help me and I got with another service employee. Two individuals who where not professional on my first visit approached me and I asked them to not speak to me. A customer asked my opinion if the place and I gave it. One of the service employees who I asked to not speak with me again came over and bothered me. I proceeded to tell him to leave me alone (yes, things are heated now 🤬🤬, when you asked to be left alone, you should be left alone), another employee I have never spoke to advanced at me without a mask and I informed him to keep his distance. This employee still advanced at me and I again told him yo step away. I proceeded to be escorted outside to wait for my vehicle. Then the police pull up as they have called them. I explained the situation and informed the police I have PTSD. The police inform me my vehicle is done at no charge, they would check the cameras and that I was banned for the next 2 years. Not only does this place price gouge, they will mock you, harass you and advance at you for hostile intentions. Then they will call the police and band together to make you look like a bad customer. I do not recommend this place for anyone to stop at. They are right off the interstate in Bowling Green so they get travelers all the time. If you have mental health issues, do not stop here because they will take advantage if it. Sorry for the long description but this was one of the worst experiences I have had.
The staff at Greenwood Ford Lincoln were very courteous, friendly, and helpful. They were expedient in repairing the vehicle after my breakdown on the highway. This was my first visit to their establishment and I couldnt have been more pleased. I would recommend them to anyone you needs service.Dan Briggs
Everyone at Greenwood Ford was amazing. We wanted an SUV and they worked with us to get us one on our budget. Alex Hunt was a patient and knowledgeable salesperson and they all went above and beyond, staying well after closing, to make it happen for us.
Chris and Nolan and the service staff are fantastic to work with!
I went back 4 times last week. they had already had my car for a month and I had got it 2 days ago and I just got stranded on the interstate because there fix for the third time wasnt professional and I have to be at my grandpas funeral in 2 hours
Truck broke at 3000 milesDropped of at dealer and they diagnosed the problem. No parts to fix itThey said they would call in a few days but did notI called 2 weeks later they had the partsDropped off truck they repaired it but did not dry up the water in the passenger floor board so I did that.I shouldn’t have problems with a new truck after only a few thousand milesI have just dropped the truck off for a third time because water is flowing into the passenger floor board so obviously the problem or multiple problems were not fixed. When I dropped it off the guy asked me if I wanted to wait for it which shows his complete failure to grasp the problem. He did ask if I had a sun roof . I guess their sun roofs have a problems with leaking also. What is truly amazing is the cavalier attitude they display in regard to my time and investment in this new truck. They could absolutely care less.
Susan Price is great. The staff is wonderful and willing to work to find exactly what you need. From pickup trucks to cargo vans they have the vehicles I need to get my business going.
Friendly staff and quick service on my vehicle. Its always a great experience to go to Greenwood!
I bought a Lincoln SUV on a Monday. The next day I took it in to be cleaned and they gave me a loaner car. I fell in love with the loaner car, text Alex my wonderful salesman, and he along with others made it all happen for me. I have bought 4 cars at Greenwood Ford over the years and always get good customer service and professional help. Thank you Alex, Jeff, Steve, Marquel and Jason....You are the BOMB!!
Everyone is very friendly and very helpful. I really love that, although very professional, there’s still some cut up. They seem real to me
This Ford dealer is one of the best!! Dealing with the body shop is a breeze. They listen and work with you. I have nothing but praise for them. Brittany is a gem!! Kudos!!
The service is quick and all the staff that I interacted with were very nice
I was looking at a new Ford Expedition and was treated great and actually my wife ended up purchasing it for our family vehicle.
In and out quickly very professional and courteous very nice new building clean will continue to get serviced at green wood we moved to bowling green from Tennessee great experiences with them so far
Just left here an I’m extremely displeased. Was looking at the new bronco and wanted to try and buy it and they refused to let me test drive it. I offered to ride in the passenger seat and let them drive it and they wouldn’t do that either. Lost a customer terrible place.
Courteous and friendly staff. Got my air bag recalls took care of and ordered extra parts for the brake recall. Very nice and clean place.
Great friendly service. Just wish they would offer pure synthetic oil like Mobil 1.Job well done.
Service was last minute as an out of town travel. Service of new plug and coil completed very timely.
Poor customer service. I went for an oil change and stood over five minutes waiting for a customer service representative to assist. I didn’t wait any longer and left for another dealership down the road. I was greeted immediately when I drove in. I won’t be back to Greenwood Ford.
Work completed as they said it would be. Best service center representative zi have work with. Easy going and keep you informed about your auto.
Pleasant experience, quick, friendly and we will be back!
Wow, what great sales staff and service. My wife and I were looking for a car for our daughter who is rebuilding her life. Enter Bob Barnard and Mason. We spotted the perfect car for our daughter and Mason was so pleasant and professional during our first meeting. He walked us around the car, had us drive it and then processed the paperwork needed to get the car. He was acting for Bob, who had to leave before we got there. The next evening, they both greeted us and we finished the transaction paperwork. We were ecstatic with their professionalism and desire to help us. Big kudos to both Bob and Mason, and if you ask for them, tell them Tammy and Andy sent ya! Thanks Greenwood Ford! We will be back!
Excellent Service and a very excellent staff. Thank everyone who performed their services on my car.
Great customer service everyone was polite and helped me a great deal for getting my vehicle
The staff are really nice and cool, service is fast and effectiveBut I have to pay a $125 diagnostic fee just to get a new airbag installed? Seriously? I tried arguing it but they said it was non-negotiable. Im sure they do great work, but they are not afraid to squeeze your dry and take your money and force needless charges on you. Look elsewhere if you want reasonable service.
The staff were very professional and friendly. The only complaint that I have is they did NOT put a sticker on my cars windshield reminding me when my next oil change is due.
Had to change from a 5 star to a 2 star review. The sales folks, such as Robert Elmore, are wonderful and do their job. So does financing. From there, the customer service wasnt so great. I purchased my vehicle and was sent on my way with temporary tags. I was assured, several times over, that my new tags would be mailed to me. They werent . After about a month, I called to see what was going on and was put in touch with Jenny... Long story short, two months later, I still dont have my tags and have had to call several times to check on the situation. Jenny doesnt return calls. And, furthermore, Im not sure when the situation would have been resolved had I not made several calls to get things rolling. As of today, still waiting on my tags and my temporary tags expire in a few days.
They are prompt courteous and fast . Got me back on the road same day . A lil pricey tho . lol
Great place to get your vehicle serviced. Excellent customer service. Will be back for future maintenance and repairs.
Had no issues (unlike camping world) very good communication (thank you JB)If need them in my future I will call. No hidden fees paid what I was told over the phone.
Took my truck there. They found out was a loose fuse. Charged me $513.00.
Had my car serviced. Although the service took a while, the employees were accommodating.
Best customer service I have seen in quite a while. Hats off to Boris and the employees at Greenwood Ford Lincoln for making my car purchase a very pleasant experience!!
Greg Dejaynes is the best sells man Greenwood Ford could have! I’ve bought several cars from him over the years and I couldn’t be happier! He’s very laid back, knowledgeable and not pushy! He helps you find the car you actually want! Thank you so much for all your hard work Greg! I sure will miss you when you retire!
Great deal on a nice suv nice friendly staff great place to go
I have always had such friendly and good service…I appreciate the nice and convenient area to wait too. Thank you!
I just got a 2019 Nissan Sentra! Thank you so much to Steve and Josh for the amazing service! You all made me feel very comfortable and secure in finding a new car.
I had searched for weeks on end to find the vehicle I had in mind that I wanted. However, the day I went to Greenwood Ford in Bowling Green, KY and shared with Robert what I wanted, he didn’t stop looking until he found exactly the SUV I wanted!!! Every one was so kind and professional! Hats off to Greenwood Ford!
Always so well taken care of here by the great Nolan Foster! Thank you!!
Great beginning at our first encounter- nice people, nice facility. Looking forward to next visit.
Service was very good, will soon be looking for another Ford and have decided I will go to greenwood Lincoln Ford
Awesome place to go to buy a car of even for service! Fair prices, and is always a excellent experience.
Got something in the mail from these people saying we won something. Paperwork clearly showed we won a TV. Drove all the way to Bowling Green for a scam. Left with a dollar lottery ticket.
I took my car in (4/22/21) to get the brakes fixed under a recall notice from Ford. This was after I called twice to confirm that it would be ok to bring it in on an earlier date, only to be told when I got there that they are waiting for parts & a software update. When I dropped it off is when the real fun begins. After about 1.5 hours, the service dept manager Bryan Allison called me back, he had one of the techs with him. I thought that was strange, but then we headed into his office. I thought, great, what have they done to my brakes? He proceeded to explain that the techs foot slipped off the brake & hit the gas & he had damaged my car. I expected a dented fender or something somewhat minor from the explanation.Well, imagine my surprise when I saw that the tech had driven straight into a pole & hit nearly dead center of my bumper! Bryan said I would have to call MY insurance company & they would have to call Greenwood Fords insurance company to pay for the damage through a process called subrogation.Imagine my surprise when my insurance company said that was incorrect. He told me he was going to make it right & give me a loaner car to drive. He just needed to speak to the president (Dan Renshaw). When he got back he said the president said I couldnt have a loaner, I had to get a rental through insurance. Big surprise. Bryan said they would write up an estimate since they have a body shop. They then had an employee drive me home. I now have no car, but I did eventually get a rental. I knew I was going to end up getting shafted from this process, because of cars low value (because it was 12 years old, but it was in good condition when I brought it in). The car had relatively low mileage, so I may have driven it another 10 years.I thought the process was moving too slow, so I made some calls to Greenwood Ford & eventually got Dan Renshaw on the phone. He was not apologetic, whatsoever. More so, he seemed annoyed that he actually had to speak to a customer. He asked me what I thought the car was worth, but I didnt answer that question directly because the car has more than just monetary value to me. Im the one that has to devote my time to getting the situation resolved, even though THEY destroyed the car. I said since he has a body shop, maybe they should just fix it & not involve insurance. He said I should look at this from his point of view (Really? He just said that? BTW, he said that twice during the phone call.), he has employees that have to be paid for their work. I think he has enough money to pay his employees (even if no money is switching hands from me to him) to fix a car that his company is responsible for damaging. He thinks he should be making money off of this! He also said that insurance should take care of it because if the repair costs more than the car is worth, that would be like spending $100k to repair a $40k Corvette. Thats not even a similar situation. At this point I was extremely offended, so I started raising my voice a bit. He said if I dont stop raising my voice he was going to hang up. I told him if he hung up, I would come down to Greenwood Ford & raise my voice. To which he replied he would call the call the cops. Eventually, I hung up on him, dissatisfied with the way the phone call went.Unsurprisingly, the insurance company told me the car was totalled. After some haggling, I got a little bit more than what they originally told me, but I will still be out a considerable amount of money by the time I replace my car. All this for something that was supposed to be free.If asked, Would you recommend Greenwood Ford for a new car or service? I would reply, NO! Stay away from there! There are other Ford dealers. I will NEVER go back.I wish I could give them zero stars.
