I am enchanted by the safe and magical atmosphere the owner has created here. With all the nonsense happening in the world it is so wonderful to be in a place where everyone is welcome and gardening advice so freely given. She offers very informative classes to the public throughout the week. I have been gardening since I was 5 and have never had such a bountiful harvest as I have since applying her proven methods.Gardening makes sense out of life..keeps you grounded... and this little store is an asset to anyone looking to create or experience a small piece of Heaven on earth.

This is such a fun garden store! The owner is so nice and extremely knowledgeable! I will definitely be back! Besides all the fun gardening items they also offer a lot of classes.

I really love Basil and Rose because of the uniqueness and quality products. It’s such a fun place to wander through and Beuna is so helpful and knowledgeable.

I came in with my 13 year old brother after driving past this store for a very long time since we live in the neighborhood. We were both excited to see if they had any interesting plants. We walked in on Saturday August 21 around 3:30 pm. The woman in the counter seemed very uncomfortable having us in the store specially my young brother. She was so uncomfortable with him touching the spices she loudly shouted “Can I help you find something” stopped assisting one of her customers. My brother quickly stopped looking he mentioned she made him feel uncomfortable in Spanish and came to stand next to me. I could not help to become upset because I felt extremely discriminated and unwelcome by the tone of her stern voice and her demeanor towards him. I regret coming into the store putting my younger brother through this. I regret being near this woman who seems very uncomfortable having a woman of color and a child of color shopping in her store. So I urge anyone of color to visit other plant stores because it’s not worth being treated this way in 2021.

This place is awesome, I wish i had discovered it sooner! I had been wanting to learn about gardening when I heard about this store, so I went to see.They sell tons of different seeds and lots of art and decor from local artists. The owner is also so nice and helpful. They also offer really cool classes at amazing prices. I attended the edible landscaping class held here, and it was amazing to be able to learn so much. I will definitely be taking more of their classes, and coming back to shop.😁

This is the best garden shop in Davis County! Beuna Tomalino is a WEALTH of knowledge about gardening. I hired her to come to my house and give us ideas of what to do with our yard. She sketched out a few options with plant recommendations- she answered all our questions and even shared ideas beyond what we knew to ask about. Plus her shop is DARLING! So many fun gift ideas and helpful things for improving your Utah garden.

Wonderful shop with unique plants, organic gardening supplies, kids gardening supplies, clothing, books, beautiful candles, hard to find seeds, microgreens kits, eco friendly paper towel replacements, tea infusers, amazing body products (cedar clove soap, lemon mint bathbombs), and fun treats like honey roasted almonds, english toffee fudge, and rare spices! The owner is so kind and helpful, and the classes are informative and fun! They have classes on organic gardening, container gardening, painting and drawing, makung kombucha and pickling, and other interesting subjects. Definitely check it out!

A really nice place to be. Truly organic gardening shop. There are books for adults and children and even some clothes. There are also some really interesting classes on things like cheesemaking and homemade sourdough bread.

It took me way too long to get into this amazing store. Beuna, the owner is a genius when it comes to growing things, and growing things the natural way! If you have gardening or yard care needs, look no further. What really made this visit even better was the awesome selection of amazing herb and plant inspired gifts and decor. I bought the most awesome egg gathering apron for my children and some delicious freeze dried pineapple. This place is a gold mine of goodness.

I love Basil & Rose. I have learned so much about gardening and found new things to grow, in the house and outside. I have taken classes and learned about growing microgreens, medicinal plants, edible plants, sourdough bread making and use of ancient grains. There are cute things for gardening and things just to enjoy. There are also dried foods in snack sizes, and she sells home food freeze dryers and can tell you so much about using it.

What a hidden gem! Stopped by on a whim and left with some incredible goodies and some incredible knowledge! The owner is a plant guru and knows all things plant related! I would 100% recommend stopping by and checking it out!
