I locked my keys in my car while I held my 1 year old son after swim class down the street from Jersey Guy. Without missing a beat he walked down to meet me to try and get them out. He was honest and upfront about possible damages that could occur. When he couldn’t help he made sure I was taken care of with help from friends. Truly good honest person. A rare find!!

I went quite awhile bouncing from mechanic to auto repair chains to other mechanics until coming upon Jersey Guy Automotive on the web. Since taking my vehicles there starting about two years ago, I have no reason to bounce around anymore. Alex and Jersey Guy Auto are the best! He is honest, reliable and more than fair when it comes to pricing. He genuinely cares about his customers and their cars and goes out of his way to make sure that if you take your car to him that you will have a pleasant experience. While you have to be leery of what some mechanics quote you, you never have to worry about what Alex does; he will always be upfront with you as to what needs to be done and the most appropriate--and affordable--way to fix it. I am extremely happy with Jersey Guy Automotive new location in Bound Brook -Its awesome! It features a nice waiting room with an LED TV to entertain yourself while you wait and a spacious bay area with a lift. Ive been a customer for over a year now. I owned a Lexus and a Honda and Alex maintained them both, and perform a great job on them every single time. I first connected with Alex by phone and he was very willing to have me come down late in the day to diagnose my car. I have since had him complete 2 repairs for me. I had no brake lights on a friday night. I called Alex and he said bring it in tomorrow. Well saturday came and I couldnt bring it in and called him. He said dont worry, Ill come get it. I had my aging Honda Civics muffler fixed by Alex months ago, and after leaving the shop I knew I had found my mechanic. I brought my car to his shop and drove away with a brand new muffler in less than 2 hours, and that includes having the part delivered to him after he saw what needed to be replaced. Alex was completely upfront about what the cost would be and he delivered. He even showed me the old muffler so that I could see exactly where and what the problem was. I never felt pressured, talked down to or otherwise taken for a ride (as I have in the past, especially since Im female - a sad reality Im afraid.) And the best part about his shop is that he is a small business owner that seems to know the value of doing a job well and treating his customers with respect. I have lots of work left to do on my car to get it summer ready (the AC is shot) and there is no where else I would take my car to.

This is my first time to have my car repaired here but I know I found the go-to mechanics since Im new to this area. I first called Alex by phone and he was very willing to have me come to diagnose my car. I came the next morning, and Alex had a test drive with me together and immediately found the problem. He then fixed the problem for me FOR FREE. Yes it was a simple problem (tighten the shock bolt) but I went to a Toyota dealer twice previously and ironically they couldnt find this problem.The bottomline: Alex is a knowledgeble and reliable mechanic. Alex is, without a doubt, one of the most genuine mechanics out there. I moved to New Jersey from California about a year ago, and shortly thereafter needed to have some routine maintenance performed on my Acura. I found Jersey Guy Automotive based on Yelp (and other) reviews, filled out an online form for more information, and within hours, Alex had contacted me to schedule an appointment. Brought the car in a couple of days later, and was in and out in less than an hour. Alex took the time to walk me through the work that needed to be done, and even took the time to point out that, despite the Acura dealerships recommendation to the contrary, my brakes had plenty of life left in them, and did not need to be replaced. Fast forward a few months, and Ive traded in the Acura for a Volvo, and I continue to not only visit Alex for routine repairs, but also recommend his services to my friends and colleagues.

Alex is amazing.He is honest,genuine, thoughtful and very knowledgeable.I was new in the city, he has fixed all the problems .It is very difficult to get a good auto repair shop in a new city, finally I found it ....its Jersey Guy.Mine was a VW, not many people can diagnose VW problems properly.Apart from Toyota Honda Nissan etc Alex has also very good knowledge on European Cars Audi, BMW, VW etc.He is very responsive to phone calls, always receive phone calls and call back to give you updates.Anytime you call him for any problems, he will ask to stop by and most importantly deliver the vehicles on time.Sometimes he didnt even charge for minor repairs.Besides the cost of the repairs compared to large dealerships, the quality of work is incredible and he will make sure you understand what is going on with the car and what needs to be done.Jersey Guy continue to be my trusted repair shop for any issues as well as regular maintenance. I recently moved back to NJ from AZ, and had a 60k tune up prior to leaving. Once I arrived it was only fitting that a door handle snapped off my Nissan Murano. I took it to a local dealer service center in NJ and they decided that they wanted to do an inspection of my SUV, and then gave me a laundry list of things that needed to be addressed. Not even 2 days later, I get in my car and it starts idling funny. Coincidence or not, the problem became an issue as the SUV started stalling out on me at red lights. Ive never had any issues with it before but was preparing for the worst. SO instead of going back to the dealership, I found Jersey Guy Automotive on Google and read the great reviews of the shop. I had the car AAAed to the shop and Alex told me that it was just a sensor issue that was nothing major at all. My guess is that if I took it back to Bridgewater Nissan they would have hit me over the head with a major bill. Lesson learned: If you have any issues with your car, GO TO JERSEY GUY AUTOMOTIVE!!!! Alex is an honest guy and we were lucky to find him out here!!!! I will recommend him to anyone who needs service to their cars going forward!!! Out of 5 stars I give him a 10!!!!

Being in a place where you don´t know the ups and downs of anything can be very uncomfortable. After seing the reviews this place gets I decided that it was the place I needed. Alex is a great guy. I have an old car and it would have been easy to rip me off. Alex was honest and told me up front what the scenarios were that I might be facing as well as the cost. On a low point I was with a car that repeatedly over heated itself and I was pretty sure that this would be a blue monday having to rent a car and a big bill to follow. Alex not only picket me up or drove to my hotel, he alse lent me a car for a full week without any extra cost. In the end the bill was only a fraction of what I had feared. Alex is most likely one of the most honest and most reliable mechanics out there, let me tell you why:I went to American Tire and Auto for some new tires before the snow hit 2 weeks ago, when they got it up on the lift they called me in to show me (after changing my tires to new ones) that I had a broken hub, bearing, and axle. They bolt was clean off inside of my hub cap, dont ask me how I drove there with the car but I made it. My suspicion is (because I asked them to tighten my hubs) they overtightened the hub and snapped the axle bolt, but I had no proof of this. Naturally, I felt slighted. I had no idea this was the case and wouldnt have put tires on a car that was incapable of driving. American Tire and Auto went ahead and changed them anyway, THEN told me it wasUn-Drivable. I proceeded to get a quote from the bay manager at American Tire and Auto after he told me I need a new axle, hub, and bearing. They quoted me over 1,000 for parts and labor, to top it off it would be a week before they could get my parts in. I couldnt go that long without my main vehicle, nor could I afford the 1k they quoted me for parts and labor.- Enter Alex Berezanski.I called Jersey guy after asking some friends on Facebook who I could get a second opinion from, and he immediately told me that price was out of the question and proceeded to invite me to get my car down to his Somerville NJ location.I dropped off my car on a Thursday, and he called me Thursday night to tell me it would be around $250 for parts, and that he would discount the labor to get my business.I wound up paying $300 for over 1k worth of work (According to American Tire and Auto in Flemington New Jersey). To top if off, he beat their estimated delivery date by 3 days.I am super happy, the car drives great, and Alex even put me on a plan to keep my car maintained and running well to avoid these types of accidents in the future.I recommend Alex to anyone who is questioning their current Automotive specialist, as well as someone looking for someone new. He is reliable, honest, fast, and his work speaks for itself.. its quality!-Steven C
