I’ve been going to Christy’s since my childhood years for all of my ski needs! I did season rentals there for years before getting my own skis and boots and even after that, they are one of the only shops in Boulder I trust to take care of my skis when they need some love. I recently bought a new set up and they helped me every step of the way, from mounting bindings to finding the right boot. Tyler worked with me for close to 2 hours on a boot fit, answering all of my questions and making sure my feet were comfortable and happy. He went above and beyond to get my skis set up with the new boots and was fun and enjoyable to work with! Cannot recommend Christy’s enough for all of your ski/snowboard needs - they are amazing at what they do and have an awesome and knowledgeable group of people working there!

Beginning of the 20-21 season, bought a board which was ridden once on easy groomers and no terrain. My top sheet began to crack the moment I set the board on the ski rack to go to lunch and I could hear it’s cracking. Was not super cold nor bending the board. It was first few runs and was just testing out the ride ability. I then brought the board back to christys sports Boulder to ask for a refund or to send it to Salomon for a warranty. Salomon would not warranty due to not making the board anymore. So I asked for my money back. While on the phone with the snowboard department, Eddie the as very rude and told me “come pick up your broken board” and basically told me to “F” off. I do not recommend buying from them. Especially Eddie.

Got new boots and bindings here for my board. Mid season can be tough with inventory, but I was able to find a great pair. I attribute a large reason my experience was so good was because of Jonathan and his patience and thorough knowledge which really helped me find the right fit and quality. Will definitely be coming back for any maintenance or other boarding needs in the future.

Got my ski boots fitted here and Greg was AMAZING! The time and care he spent with was very much appreciated. He knew what he was talking about and made the process so easy and simple for a beginner like me. Greg definitely deserves big kudos and my gratitude.

What a great store!Not only does Christy sports have an incredibly wide selection of items to rent or purchase, but their sales associates are truly top notch at their Boulder location.We had the wonderful pleasure of working with Evan who was beyond knowledgeable, talked us through all the benefits, drawbacks, differences, and new features of each item we both purchased and rented. Normally a great place, but their covid policies need some help! Online reservations made it sound safe, which included a virtual queue system. Upon arrival I found no virtual system and I had to wait in line. I saw some customers whose masks hung below their mouths. Once it was my turn I had to re-answer size questions that were already answered when I reserved a board online. A curbside option should be offered!

There were many friendly workers checking on me over the last couple of days but the 5 star review goes specifically to Ryan D. He is obviously working extremely hard and is staying late to go the extra mile. I had two exceptional phones calls with Ryan tonight and in spite of him having to work his tail off after hours he was not rushed, very professional and still pleasantly ensuring me he would get me on the slopes. I have always had great experiences at Christy Sports. Since moving to CO over 5 years ago, they have been our go to for our snow sport needs. I finally decided to make the switch from snowboarding to skiing and Christy Sports delivered yet again. Jason helped answer all of my questions about my options in skis and binding and was extremely helpful thru the entire process. Once I did get boots, my boot fitter Steve did an awesome job and I am beyond pleased with the comfort and performance of my setup. We have been going to the other ski/board shop down the street for a number of years now, and yesterday I realized how much I had Been missing out on extremely great customer service. After being extremely disappointed at the shop down the street we looked up christy sports in Boulder and thought we would give them a try. As we walked into the doors EVERYONE WAS SO NICE AND HELPFUL! Not only that, but the same snow board binding we had just bought from the other place were $50 cheaper at christy sports. I can’t remember the last time we left a store and my family talked about what a great experience we had all the way home, but that’s exactly what happened when we left christy sports in Boulder. I can say we will not be wasting any more time or money at the other ski/board shops, and we will be going straight to Christ sports in Boulder for all of my family’s snowboarding stuff from now on.Thank you guys for all of your help! Jon in the boot department is the man! He had total patience trying to find the right boot for my new set up, giving me a bunch of different options and the specs between them. Jon and the rest of the Christys team is awesome! My dad needed new skis and boots for the season and Jon was committed to getting him the gear he needed to crank on the slopes. The demo program is great because my dad could try a couple different skis to find the ones that would best handle his favorite terrain. We appreciated the help and the knowledge that Jon brought to the table and are loyal and happy Christys customers.

We went to the Boulder location and the Service was outstanding. The store hours are convenient. They were open until 8:00PM so we could pick up our skis the night before. Alex was our outfitter and he was very helpful and did an excellent job in fitting our equipment. We were in and out within 20 minutes!

Last year I rented 4 different pairs of skis, and eventually bought my new skis here. Christy sports employees are always very helpful and knowledgeable.

I have used Christy Sports in Boulder for years and they are top notch. I love the people here. The rental and tune shop is so friendly (very patient with my kids)and their work is terrific. A very wide selection of skis and clothing where I can take the entire family. Selection for my kids and backcountry gear for me as well. Prices better than other shops and if they don’t have it in stock today they can get items from other locations. Strongly recommend!! Come on winter!!

Just stopped into Christys because my ski boot was so painful to wear and I felt like I needed it to be refitted. I never like having to do these things because I dont like interacting with customer service people. I ended up getting help from a guy named Dan, and let me tell you.. he was awesome and made the experience actually fun (didnt think that was possible). Of all of the winter sports stores in Boulder, this is the best one. Their customer service is second to none! Specifically an employee named Chris went above and beyond for me and my girlfriend. Of the 3-4 trips we took to Christy, he was always there. I never felt pressured or like I was being sold. It felt like he really just wanted to educate us to make the best decision for ourselves. I have high expectations when it comes to customer service. That said, Christy’s delivers high quality customer service in both the rental & retail arenas. I rented my nieces’ seasonal gear and several different skis for me, over the past months, in my quest to find the perfect all mountain ski. I ski old school & am trying to learn the new carving & powder techniques. The men & women in the rental shop have been technically knowledgeable, listened earnestly to what I wanted, & have helped me select some marvelous skis to try. I appreciate these people! The efforts of the team have translated directly over to the retail side where folks there have heard what I’ve tried out and have helped me identify a couple skis that will make a perfect one-ski quiver. I’ve also appreciated the excellent pricing incentives for returning & “reserve early” customers. This mattered a lot when I was deciding what store I would rent my family’s equipment from this season.In retail, many employees come across as pushy & aggressive or uninterested & apathetic towards the customer. From rentals to purchasing equipment, from clothing to goggles & head gear the Christy’s staff are none of these things. They conduct themselves professionally; they are easy to talk with & not condescending; they showed interest in me; they are technical specialists; & they have been patient & focused time & time again on helping me fulfill the gear needs for my family and me. I’ll be a customer for a long time.

I always get my skis tuned here and they seem to do a good job. The staff is always friendly and helpful and know exactly what type of tune you need. I do not like how the downstairs personnel are in your face like a car salesman when you walk through the door...except when Im carrying my skis...they never ask me if I need help then.

I had an awesome experience I would like to share. First trip ever to Colorado skiing. I rented from Christys in Boulder and they had great service getting me set up. I enjoyed my weekend at Breckenridge and Keystone and drove to my Denver Air B&B on Sunday. Little did I know about mountain traffic. I left at 3PM thinking I had plenty of time to get my rental back to Christys before close at 6PM. I was way off! I was in bumper to bumper traffic for hours. I called Christys and got a hold of Eddy Roy at the Boulder location where I rented. We discussed my options and one was to go back to Dillon by 7PM however I could not exit for 21 miles. We waited until closer to close @ 6PM to see if I could make it. I called Eddy back as I had no options to make any Christys by close and needed to be to the airport by 8AM the next morning. I talked to him about the risk of leaving them at the front or back door and he advised against it. Then he offered to bring them in personally if I could drop them off at his house! During our discussion we learned that my Air B&B was close to his residence. I would have never expected that and he saved me a ton of stress and risk leaving them by the front door the next AM! I want to personally thank Eddy Roy for his customer service and going the extra mile to help a customer out in need! He is an amazing employee with customer service in mind and I wish I had many like him at my place of business! I would recommend Christys to anyone, anytime. Great customer service. Always friendly staff, whether buying an entire ski kit, renting, or just getting a pair of gloves. Knowledgeable, too. Employees are typically quite experienced in winter sports and very helpful in selecting gear. No pressure sales. Its always my go-to shop, whether Im in town or at a resort. I dont know how their prices compare, but the experience there is such that I would go even if it wasnt the cheapest. Highly recommend.

EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE! RETAIL: Amazing staff, very helpful, friendly, and fun. Had to buy all new clothes as first time skier. They taught me what to wear, how to wear it, and how to make sure of a good fit. RENTAL: Friendly, fast staff. Helped me find the right gear, wrote it down for me so I could enter an online reservation at a discount and get the exact same gear I tried in-store. Was fast when I came to pick up the rental, and fast when I dropped it back off.

Absolute pleasure (we rented skis and boots). That was the short version if you do not want to read my full story. This place came recommended to us by someone who lives nearby. So we rented our ski equipment online. We changed our travel plans last minute, and wanted to pick up our equipment just before closing, instead of the next morning. We called ahead, and they said to come on in, but apologized that there could be a short wait.We showed up, and were helped by Jordan F.This guy was efficient, extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Even though it was almost closing time, he treated us like we were the only customers for the day.Equipment was top notch. We had a great time skiing with it. Return was again handled by Jordan, and again, super helpful, friendly and efficient. The other staff members seem to be of the same caliber.All in all a place we can strongly recommend for your rentals.Thank you Jordan!

Wow Eddie was so helpful. After frustrating experiences at just about every other ski shop in Boulder, I arrived at Christy Sports and was greeted by Eddie. He took me over to the snowboard boots and every boot I wanted to try was in stock in my size. Amazing considering no other store had boots in my size. Eddie patently brought out half of the stores boots and explained the differences. I was there for over 3 hours trying on half the store and Eddie was always checking in with a smile. At other stores the employees left me for over 30 minutes without checking in and they acted like I was too needy of a shopper and it made me feel uncomfortable.I did not feel like I was bothering Eddie, he encouraged me to continue to try on more boots and never pressured me to purchase anything. He does an amazing job and made my experience shopping for snowboarding gear so much easier. From now on my search will start at Christy Sport. I wish all employees could learn from Eddie how to make the customer shopping experience fun and enjoyable. Not only was Christy Sport great but they were so much better than every other ski store in Boulder.

Christys is my choice for my kids seasonal ski rentals. The staff is speedy and organized. I was able to get through the rental process with 3 kids in under an hour. They provide great service throughout the season, tuning skis, exchanging for bigger sizes, etc. What I really liked was being able to go into a different locations in the mountains and they would take care of whatever problems we had. They were friendly and helpful through the whole ski rental process. The ski resort ended up being closed because of extreme winds, and they were very amenable when we asked for a wind check. The equipment was in great condition, and the boots were comfortable. I even felt somewhat fashionable because of the sleek and attractive color of my skis! My family has been going here for years, and this was my first time going back as an adult that actually pays attention to these things...now I know we go there with good reason! Prices seem very fair to me, and you get a discount if you make a reservation ahead of time. Much better than waiting until you get to the resort to rent skis.

I have been to Christy Sports twice in the last week. One time to get all new ski gear for my teenage daughter and then later for my teenage son to buy some snow board boots. Both times the costumer service was awesome. They took excellent care of both my kids and really helped them selected their snow gear. I was in and out in no time. Earlier this year, my girlfriend and I purchased two pair of ski boots from Christy Sports. Jon, our boot fitter, was great. While my girlfriend loved her boots, I struggled with mine as unfortunately I have the trifecta of hard feet to fit into a boot (wide foot, high instep, narrow heel). After 3 trips to Christy to have them work on the boots, unfortunately I still had issues with my foot continuously falling asleep on the slopes. They swapped my boots for a new pair. Even if these still have issues, the quality of service I have received from Christy is unparalleled. I will definitely be buying my skis from them next year

Don’t go to christy sports in the summer hoping to get a good deal on ski gear because all they sell is patio furniture. I live in Colorado and ski season is coming up and I wanted to go in and get everything done before the season started and they told me they won’t have ski/ snowboarding gear for a couple more months. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

My wife and I were in town for a short vacation. We decided to go skiing while in the Boulder area. We went in to get our gear for the opening weekend at Keystone. Not one person could be bothered to help us. We were passed up several times by staff and were never asked if we needed assistance for rental or sales. After waiting for an hour we left and had to Google other rental shops in the Boulder area. Many other years before I’ve rented from here without any issues. Highly disappointed in the customer service this year.

I got another demo pair of skis, as my testing continues to decide what Ill buy, and I had another very pleasant experience. In fact I just reserved another pair for this coming Wed!

Always receive a friendly hello and great attention when walking in the store. Regarding rentals, even when one employee is grabbing your ski rentals, another employee will quickly check in with you to make sure you have been helped. Online rentals are always ready and waiting. Both pickup and return are efficient and speedy. Much appreciated and well done!

We rented ski packages for five of our family members. The process went very smoothly from reserving online to fitting, pickup, and drop off. Most of the employees were very courteous. The equipment was in good condition and worked well for the whole family and the prices were reasonable. I think well be renting again from here next year.

Coming into Boulder from out of town, and used the slick web site to arrange the rentals in advance. They were super helpful when we came in to pick up the equipment! We came back a few days later to pick up some snowboards, without any kind of reservation, and they were equally friendly and helpful. The store is very spacious and clean. Ill definitely be back.

I was extremely impressed with Christy Sports. Like a dolt, I showed up and had forgot to bring socks to try on the snowboarding boots, and they had socks that I could use! Everyone that works there was very friendly and knowledgeable and even though it was only going to be my second time out they had a lot of patience with explaining parts of the equipment, and they knew so much about the different mountains in the area. I will definitely be going back when I need to rent equipment again in the future.

We had a wonderful experience on Presidents weekend renting from Christy Sports in Boulder. The techs are patient, knowledgeable, friendly, personable, and did I say patient? They hauled out several boots until we found just the right fit. We have had consistently good service. I asked one of the techs how he stayed so cheerful in the middle of the rush of people, and he said, Because I like my job!

I rented High Performance skis...The young man that worked with me was very helpful and patient. As a skier whod hung up his boots for quite a long time, i had a few questions about all the new goings on with regard to equipment and performance. He was able to answer my questions and in fact, we decided on a different ski after our visit. Bottom line, it was more work for him to that then to just feed me some line and get me out of the store.... What he did was get me hooked up with skis that worked great and did exactly what Id hoped for...I will utilize Christys again.

We called to see what the tuning skis turnaround time frame would be and were told 24 hours. When we walked in we were told by the ski tune employee that this is customary statement from corporate to get people into the store. We asked when our skis would be ready the guy said they were extremely backed up because 1/2 of Boulder was in the store and they were busy. Then we walked to the ski area to talk to a service expert about skis. Basically we were completely shamed when we asked about skis and that the employee said he was working 2 days a week because he could. Shaming and arrogance are reasons why brick and mortar are closing their doors. Customers have choices.

This is a large, well run store with a friendly and engaged staff. You will not be kept waiting either in the outdoor furnishings area or the ski/ride sections. Same with both the ski/board tuning and the equipment rental shops. The inventory is extensive also. This outfit is on the ball. The store is located next to some major new construction projects so access can be a bit problematic this year.

Extremely knowledgable, helpful and friendly staff. Great prices! Got good deal on demo rental package and the guy who helped with fitting boots was great and had good recommendations on ski options.

Poor service for rental and tuning. Immediately after I paid for my ski tuning, the same service center told me that they could not adjust the bindings because they were damaged. Yes, I should have noticed that before I had them tuned, but it sure would have been nice if the service department would have checked that when I bought them in. I asked if they could give me a small discount on rental since I just paid to have skis tuned that I cant use... Nope. Bottom line: Dont expect much service from the service center. This is actually the second year in a row that been disappointed with the service center. Maybe next year I will be smart enough to take my business elsewhere.

Great experience! We reserved the ski package online (great rate, by the way!), were greeted promptly, and had a quick, hassle-free exchange to pick up the gear. The gear was perfect for what we needed and was in good condition. All in all, highly recommended and will be using them again!

They only rent ski boots for beginners, even tho they rent demo skis. Theres so much flex in the boots that they feel like rubbery hiking boots (the highest flex they have is 80, which is very much at the low end). Also, they didnt adjust my ski bindings correctly to my boots, leading me to wipe out in powder for no reason. I had to adjust the bindings myself later at the ski resort so the skis wouldnt suddenly come off. This place is probably twice as expensive as the other ski shop that also starts with a C half a mile away (I got a helmet rental at the other place for $5, as opposed to the $10 or $12 they would have charged me here). Lots of small retail items dont have a price tag, so I ended up paying $5 for some chapstick that didnt have a price tag on it.

We went in the rent my daughters ski gear for the season. We were in and out of there in 15 or maybe 20 minutes; it felt like no time at all. They also had all of our ski passes and photos taken in that time. Everybody was really nice and helpful. And I got a great deal on a jumpsuit for her to wear up on the mountains. This facility has been remodeled. It is really nice!
