Lol 2.0.... You all need to go to Boulder Karate and ask for Sensei Brad.
I wish I could give them a good review, but its honestly not warranted. I want to put this review up as a warning to others -- do not prepay for a whole year! By all means join and go, but stick with the month to month to limit your investment in case of emergency. They told me they were saving my time for me while my family was dealing with the Flood and a series of medical surgeries, but when I tried to come back, they acted like giving me 30% of my time back was some kind of big favor, bc technically Id forfeited all of it when I didnt come during those months.Apparently I made it worse for myself when I showed up and visited with the sensei, and made the effort to show my face in group class once or twice. Do that at all and you forfeit the whole month as used.We went through my attendance dates and it looks like after all is said and done, I paid an average of $65 per class. I told them Id sincerely like to continue on and that Id prepay for another year up front as a show of good faith if they reverse the forfeiture of the $900 for six months out of the past year. They said no, only three of the six, if I prepay now for another year. Aside from affording that loss, which I cant, theres the issues of trust, respect, and compassion for their students as people. Im disillusioned to find out that they think so little of me that they actually expected me to throw good money after bad, or else they preferred not to have me for whatever reason.Personality-wise, its a fun, healthy, and respectful place to be. Im disappointed that they didnt keep their word to me after the good rapport we seemed to have. Some other time and dojo, Id enjoy continuing with karate.
