I love this small shop. The owners are such lovely people and always help you find what you need. They seem to have most everything and the prices are reasonable too. I have been shopping here since I moved to boulder 9 yrs ago. Nice organic section too.
Granted, I am not Indian and have limited understanding of regional Indian cuisine, mainly some rudimentary understanding of north vs south Indian cuisine. This store covers the basics and owners are very friendly and accommodating. They have some organic beans too.
Wonderful little place run by very friendly and helpful people. I highly recommend this place for the exotic spices, Indian grocery and personally for me the enormous variety of beans and legumes that they carry which is extremely helpful for someone wanting super cheap and high protein vegan options.
Pretty good selection and good prices. Friendly owner
Best place to buy Indian food
You will get all important Indian items from various species, paneer, halal chicken, Bengali fish to fresh vegetables.Especially for the kind and friendly behavior of uncle, I prefer to go to the Indian bazaar store, as compared to other Indian stores. He is a genuine person and loves to interact with the customers.
Very small market. No fresh vegetables though.
So friendly exotic cheery atmosphere thoughtful srrvice
Kind people. Great customer interaction & service. Look forward to trying their food.
Got in to get 1 item, comeback with 5 items 😅 regular visitors will know what I mean 🙂
A lovely, family-run business. A great place to find Indian ingredients, with particularly good prices on spices.
Really rude man behind the counter. He told us next time you come to the store bring your own bag. Also it says they prefer cash for transactions below $10 but its not preferred, he straight told me “I won’t run your card for below $10” and typed my total on a calculator. Not recommended at all. Wish google had negative stars.
Superrrr Indian Grocery Store. Uncleji looked after us very well. Good range. Good prices.
The owner is a really nice person. He would help students who walked in take really heavy things back home if it was close to the end of the day. He always checked to make sure his regulars were doing well. Had a good variety most accessible if you lived on our very close to campus.
Being from Bangladesh, the frozen food section was great and reminds me of childhood!
Friendly place to shop for all your culinary needs...
Good experience shopping at India Bazar. They carry Pakistani famous items too, including Shan masalahs.
I love this place, the owners are wonderful and extremely helpful. I find all the ingredients here that I need to prepare authentic Indian food at home!
Rude Behavior by the front desk guy/uncle.
Excellent Indian grocery store. Good stock, quality items and friendly staff. Highly recommended!
Convenient location with all the important Indian things you need. The owner is a nice man and very courteous with customers. The selection of items is varied and interesting.
I visited last Friday and purchased several items, particularly 2 blocks of paneer. When i got back home, I notice that one of the frozen blocks was molded. I live about 17 miles from my office and since covid, i have been working from home most of the time. Today (Tuesday) I took the molded paneer in hopes that i could exchange it for a non molded one. Surprisingly, the same person that helped the previous Friday, accused me of me of leaving the paneer in the car for too long and trying to cheat him out of $5. The lesson for me it is simply. Unfortunately I feel that this person focused more on the $5 that he was going to have to exchange vs the amount of money that i had spent on his store that will never again do. I left the store leaving the paneer after he express to me that he was not selling to me anymore... thanks for the favor :)
Great store with wonderful owners. As a none native cook, I get lots of help on ingredients and products. The store Is small but has everything you could need. I’m also able to get UK biscuits here, yay!!
One of the two Indian grocery shops in Boulder area. Have a pretty good collection of organic spices, pulses and other Indian pickles, powders and vegetables. The shopkeeper is also a nice gentleman with a pleasant demeanor willing to help.
Uncle at this shop is awesome. He always talks very nicely and comes across as a genuinely nice person. Very nicely stacked racks and almost always they have the products in stock. He also gave us free boxes to keep tea powder which would have costed us at least 2-3 $ otherwise. Its quite far from our place though. And there is no home delivery.
Wonderful experience at this store. I found everything I needed and more! The owner was helpful with a specific spice that I could not find. I loved the laid-back, but totally competent feeling there. Owners were very friendly and sweet. Will be going back!
Reviewed Indian Bazaar 3 years ago and this is still the best Indian Grocery Store in Boulder County... and I tried them all! Very clean and the items are fresh and move frequently from the shelves. Also, all of their items are marked with prices... not like some other Indian grocers who dont price mark their items. Ive been getting my spices and specialty items here for years. I am a foodie and cook Indian cuisine as well as other World cuisines. They have a variety of spices, herbs, flours, dals/lentils, beans, grains, rice, and much, much, more that can be used in any cuisine of the world... its not just for Indian cooking. Its a lot less expensive to buy spices here than in the big box grocery stores. Muhammad is the owner and runs it with his family. He is very nice and always makes me feel welcomed when Im shopping. I enjoy shopping here because of the great prices and friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend the Indian Bazaar for all your spices and specialty needs!!! James DC
Great selection. Super nice owner
The only Indian store and quite decent in this part of Boulder. One can get almost every Indian grocery need. Best for Indian students in CU.
Has fewer stock than Indias grocery, but is better organized.
Best Indian Grocery store for all students at CU Boulder
Best place in Boulder for Indian grocery, snacks, meat etc. Super friendly and helpful staff. Low price. Love this place. Recommend this place to everyone in Boulder looking for Indian Grocery Store..👍👍
Best place in Boulder for your South Indian groceries. Its a bit pricier than you might want but its still delicious, especially the handmade gulab jamun.
I have been to many indian stores across US but so far this is the best place to buy good grocery at reasonable rates. The store has multiple options to choose from and things are always in stock. The owner is a very friendly person and ensures that he can fulfill the needs of all the customers by even taking personal orders and getting stuff if there is something that u have been looking for is not available. The store is very neatly organized and u will have a great experience shopping here as I do.
Excellent little market. I looked all over town for paneer & then remembered this place was here. They’re very good at keeping the essentials in stock here & always super friendly.
Great collection of spices! Its the only place in town for a lot of them.
Great place for getting Indian stuff. Slightly smaller but cheaper than Indian Grocery.
First visit but seems like a little gem.
Have everything I need at a reasonable price. Definitely recommend
It is Oasis for Indian community here in Boulder. Its my monthly destination to buy chapati and paratha. Everything is available here that you wish for, from pani puri to puran poli.
Excellent and friendly Indian grocery, the best in Boulder. Unless you can make it to the even sweller Krishna Grocery in Lafayette, this is the place to go for critical subcontinental needs. Thanks to this store, I never have to run out of sesame chikki.
Best place in Boulder for Indian grocery, spices, snacks, meat etc. Super friendly and helpful owners.
Its not a huge store, but stocks pretty much all the basics an Indian kitchen would need. Plus the owner of the store always greets me with a smile!
An Indian market for Indian ready to eat packets rotis spices and much more
This shop sells fresh stuff and has a variety of stuff to select from (unlike a few other places in town who have products up for sale well beyond their expiry date). Owners are friendly and helpful.
Ive never had the urge to give a bad review, but the man at the cashier was rude.. Ive come here once before with my father and he welcomed us and made it feel friendly, but this time I came with my friend and he made us wait to pay for our stuff while he just talked to some couple, while we were waiting another couple showed up and got what they needed and placed it on the counter, he apologized to them and attempted to serve them first although we were waiting for more than 5 min right in front of him. You might think its something silly, but he should have acted indifferently to customers. I was really upset that he didnt even apologize, but rather ignored us, we paid for our stuff and left.. but were never coming back again!
Great place! Full of some really amazing foods!
Good place to get your south Asian grocery items. Friendly owner.
Owner was so friendly and they had everything we wanted and more at very reasonable prices. We will definitely be back again and again.
Youll be able to find almost all the India specific groceries here.
This is a terrific little shop with lovely people who greet you with a smile when you walk in the door!
They have improved a bit but its a hit or miss. The displayed prices dont match with receipt. Competition in the area has made them try to be better. They were much worse.
Very helpful owner. Great, clean and organized. Lots of organic choices as well.
Nice grocery store for Indian foods and utensils. The owner is very nice and helpful.
Everything you need to make the world‘s best cuisine, with a friendly attitude.
Very friendly owner and nice collection of goods.
Decent selection and reasonable pricing. Love the fresh Dosa batter
Owners are extremely sweet. A great collection of Indian goods and a great stock of Bengali spices !
Nice Indian food items available
Best one!!! The owner is so knowledgeable and kind too
Very courteous owner. Almost all the Indian masala are available. Although buying lays magic masala packet for 2$ hurts but Damn nostalgia.
Lots of Indian food easily accessible
Everything I need to make my famous Liver Curry, Egg Curry, and Chicken 65 dishes.
They had a fair amount of products I have never seen anywhere else. Thier prices seem pretty good.
Very rude shop owner. When i tried returning a Kadai that I bought a day before, I saw his other face. They sometimes sell stale products - I twice had experiences purchasing their roti. I will never go back to this shop again
Small space with Indian essential groceries
Very friendly owner, and cheap delicious Indian offerings.
A little small, but has all the staples of Indian food and cooking. I wish it had a better/bigger selection of meat, but thats not too huge a deal.
Great selection of groceries and toiletries, and extremely friendly service.
Reasonable collection of brands, and a nice owner. Kinda expensive though.
Authentic spices - none of that cheap fake watered down stuff. Support local businesss if youre going to try and butcher their food.
A very apt store which has all the basic items youll need. They should though try and bring in some more namkeens.
Its a sweet little store where you would find most of the items you need. The owner is very friendly.
The guy that runs the store was super helpful. Its also the only place I can find a lot of specialty Indian and Thai ingredients.
Besides excellent service, very welcoming and friendly owners
Excellent! He has a good selection of ready to eat Dosas!!! Try the Udipi Masala Dosa!! It is great. He is a friendly and helpful guy. But then he wont take cards for les than ten, keep your cash handy if you want to make a small purchase.
I actually wanted to give 1 star. This guy gave a receipt without the actual items included and said it costs money to install the one which prints the receipt that includes the item details.
So happy we discovered this place! Boulder definitely needs more small, locally-owned shops like this. Went hunting for whole spices to make garam masala (for vindaloo, makhani, etc) and found everything we needed here. The store is well organized, for the most part, but is still a work in progress as I believe the owner stated he has only been open for about a year and runs the entire shop himself.Prices were Very reasonable, especially considering the mass quantity of spices, tamarind, fresh paneer, rose water, etc that we walked out with. It would have easily cost us 4x the amount we spent in any Boulder grocery store for these specialty items. He has some items like Italian olive oil, balsamic vinegar, louisiana spice mixtures (random, I know), a small handful of mediterranean goods (i.e. jarred grape leaves), a frozen section with pre-made indian items, as well as every indian pickle, sauce, spice, etc that you can think of.The owner is warm and welcoming, he approached us to ask if we needed help, but left us alone to wander around when we let him know that was all part of the fun =). He also asked for our feedback when we checked out, good and bad since hes interested in making any improvements to the store that his customers might need.Go check this place out!
Small shop/decent inventory
Good collection of Indian goods
I like how they sell all the Indian spices and a lot of variety of Indian food related items is available. However, I believe the chicken they sell is not zabeeha even though they call it halal.
Go to place for all Indian spices.
Good supply of halal food
Run of the mill selection, but the service is spectacular.
Expensive place.
Not a big store but variety of products
You get what are essential
