First experience was pleasant and coffee was good. Returned the next day and I arrived 15 minutes before opening. By 7 I was ready for coffee! I continued to wait until 7:10. The 2 young employees had still not opened doors by 10 minutes past opening. When I tried to get their attention they ignored me. At the minimum they should have explained the delay and let me know if they were opening soon.

Im a tea aficionado, and despite this being a coffee joint, I was thoroughly impressed. They have a large selection of loose-leaf teas, and their tea corner has plenty of tea brewing accessories. I got a matcha drink made, and bought Earl Grey de la Creme loose-leaf package to bring home. The Earl Grey is some of the best Ive ever had! The tea is so fresh, the flavor is even more intense than any other bulk teas Ive purchased. I started using less tea in my steeping to keep it from being too overpowering. I recommended this place to my local friends, as they like both coffee and tea. Im sure they will be just as pleased!

I had a tasty iced oat milk latte here. They also have Italian sodas (my daughter likes the strawberry one). They are practicing safe social distancing here--ie one way in and out, take a marker by the counter to mark your table dirty when you leave. Nice to see Colorado doing such a great job (as opposed to Arizona which could learn a thing or two).

I had a very negative experience with the owner of this place. I have been going there every day from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m to study for the MCAT. Every-time I went there, I always bought teas, candies and tipped the people working there. I left my stuff at the table and went out for approximately 15 minutes. When I came back, the owner came up to my car and yelled at me for leaving my stuff inside. I told him that I didnt think it was an issue and that I will not leave them like that again. He proceeded to tell me that I shouldnt be sitting there for an extended period of time, and I should be buying more stuff from his shop. I showed him my drink and told him that I buy candy and tip the workers there all the time. He was very dismissive and switched the topic to my car. He said that I shouldnt park my car in front of his place for a long time. EVEN if Im sitting inside. This was funny to me because the parking lot is public and he doesnt own it. I confronted him with that, and he got outraged and upset. He told me to leave the shop and never come back again. When I went inside, I realized that he had moved all my stuff from the table (extremely illegal). I have never had an experience like that happen to me before. The owner was very arrogant, rude, and, seriously, has zero social skills. The manager told me that they were concerned about my stuff getting stolen, which was the issue. I asked her: why did the owner start telling me to buy things and move my car from the parking lot if that was the case. They didnt respond. The workers there are courteous and friendly. The owner, on the other hand, is horrendous. Just terrible. He treats you as if he owns you. I never had an issue like that before, but I will make sure to bring awareness to everyone I know (and possibly the media) about his behavior. I never wished bad things on anyone before, but I deeply hope this place gets run down and shutReally sad because I enjoyed coming here to study.

This is the third time Ive come to the Brewing Market on Arapahoe. Ive always loved the beverages made here, the roasted coffee, the atmosphere. My issue is the employees lack of joy, verve, enthusiasm for the job. Thats a major reason I frequent other coffee shops: a morning smile and quick conversation to get me on my way.If youre looking for a good cup of coffee, the Brewing Market has it. If youre looking for a community coffee shop ready to build relationships and start you off on the right foot, go somewhere else.

Cute little cafe where you can get GOOD tea and great coffee. They also serve quiches and little baked goods to go with your favorite drink. The coffee market at this location is one of the first we ever discovered that offered a variety of coffee roasts. Prior to that, we were part of the crowd that bought coffee already ground and vacuum packed in steel cans. That was possibly more than 35 years ago and every time were in Boulder, we stop in to have a cup and possibly get some fresh roasted beans.

I have been coming here for a while ever since I moved in next door and even in the short time Ive lived here I have seen so many baristas come and go. Ive read in the previous reviews that they say the baristas look sad and Im sorry to say Ive experienced the same. They have always been kind and interested but never all that happy. I ended up talking to one of the baristas on their last day of work at the store and I think I know why they look like they hate being there. Because they hate being there. Because they have no respect for the people running the shop. To be honest I may be on their side. They told me about how the owner pays them as little as he can and uses their tip money to pay their manager. They told me about their political views (which i have to say are very not boulder).I have never heard this kind of thing at other coffee shops so this must not be the norm. I think I may have to switch where I buy my coffee.

Decent coffee. But the service has gone downhill as of late (been coming for 20 years). Staff are often distracted when taking my order and then get frustrated when I point out that they missed items I ordered. Oh and if you order drip coffee you will most likely be forgotten about and have to ask for a simple pour 10 minutes after you ordered. Dont know if Ill be coming back if this level of service is maintained.

The brewing market has the best tasting drinks out of any coffee shop in Boulder besides Vic’s and I come here occasionally, especially if I’m visiting the hardware store. I give two stars because they do have exceptional coffee. I would give one star because of my negative experience with one of their baristas. She is super rude. Classical negative millennial behavior on steroids. I don’t know what is wrong with the person, but she has horrible customer service. I’m surprised that she still has a job. Both times that I’ve been here recently she’s been openly hostile to customers. Really shocking behavior. If you hate people you should probably not be a barista. What is more shocking is that the manager lets the behavior go in.

The Brewing Market would be the best coffee shop in Boulder if the staff was better. Great coffee, nice location, but wow the staff can be just awful at times.I used to run a coffee shop and Im shocked that the owners of Brewing Market waste so much potential by not investing in a better staff. Sometimes theyre friendly, sometimes theyre not. Worse, theyre terrible at dealing with the morning rush and the wait for a simple black coffee is often way too long. Frequently it just looks like theyre understaffed, but even so the staff that are working seem uncaring and often do not respect the time of their customers. I know that myself and others often choose to go elsewhere for this reason alone. The coffees great though.

Its a tough sell for sure. The coffee is really acidic and the pastries are overpriced. Most of the staff are awesome and really nice and the ambiance is pretty good. They place classical music often that makes you feel like youre in the Shining, and during the warmer days its good to sit on the porch outside and work. The Owner is a real piece of work though. I have decided to stop contributing my money to his bad practices and abuse of his staff. There are so many coffee places in Boulder that are more worthy of your time and money than this place.

The Brewing Market has been around Boulder for almost as long as I have and thats getting to be a long time. It was a real leader in the espresso coffee movement back in the day. They once roasted the beans right in the store. Long story short, they still pull an excellent espresso, as good as any in town. And although I havent paid much attention, I think they try to keep up with most of the froo froo hipster coffee trends as well. I find it hard not to stop there every time I visit McGuckin Hardware. However, I do find their downtown location to be cramped and a bit slow.

This is a review of the Brewing Market in Lafayette, near the YMCA. Much of the review applies to the other Brewing Markets, including the original that is part of the McGuckin’s building, a shop I went to as early as 1984 when a large coffee was 75¢. This review has subheading-stars (yes, my own convention), which are not necessary for a five-star review (as this is). This particular Brewing Market is called “Espresso Vino” because they serve beer and wine in the evenings (but that aspect falls outside of this review).Coffee (drip): ***** My overall favorite drip coffee anywhere, period. They use plenty of coffee, usually have a dark and a lighter roast. They roast their own coffee. They filter their water carefully. And they keep their equipment clean.Ambience: ***** This is a great place to meet someone or to work/read alone. A variety of seating arrangements, including outdoors, indoors with cushions, indoors with wooden tables and chairs, and a small room-like section that may be reservable. The music has never annoyed me, although I prefer the way the original Brewing Market plays (or played—don’t live near there) classical music, a unique touch.Internet connection: ***** Never had a problem (and don’t have any metrics). Certainly, it’s never failed me, and that is not always the case at coffee shops. Well, it failed me once but it was a neighborhood-wide problem with the provider.Miscellany (location, staff, food): ***** The location is conveniently near a major intersection, but is far enough from traffic so that the outdoor seating is quiet. Most of my encounters with the staff are pleasant. Because I’ve been a patron longer than some of them have been around, a few of my questions, being dated (such as, “do you still get baked goods from Brillig Works”), throw them off balance—but they do their jobs just fine. One night I showed up when they were closing in spite of what some web site has posted, and the barista insisted on sending me out with a latte on the house.

Horchata latte is amazing! It’s not 100% consistent store to store or even time to time at this location. That said, overall they get it the best here. I go to this Brüna Marketa, the one downtown & the one @ 95th & Arapahoe so I’m not terribly biased. Here they also have good seating, easy access & lots of chocolate to spend money on. Parking lot can be a goat rodeo but that’s potentially your fault, definitely not theirs.

I use to love coming to the Brewing Market at the Village. The baristas were personable, efficient, and the space was consistently clean and welcoming. My most recent encounter was extremely disappointing, and talking to many of the regulars theyve noticed this trend for a while: the baristas are far less friendly or blatantly quiet and the store itself is less clean (the bathroom was filthy). I also ordered a Ginger Chai, which was my favorite drink, and it tastes bitter, like the tea steeped too long. Overall disappointed with the place I loved.
