What an awesome place! I highly recommend your group renting bikes from Pedego in Boulder or their sister location in Golden, CO. Not only is this a great way to see the sites, but you can also get some exercise. The pedal assistance helps you to not strain your body and gives a boost to those that may have limitations due to age or injury. The staff is friendly and helpful - they even offer guided tours! Be sure to book in advance - they are so popular they sell out rentals very quickly!

You will not find a better person to do business with than Tina. She truly is interested in her customers as people and what is best for them. No hard sales tactics or other BS to be found here. Ill start by saying, I am 68 y/o female. Ive ridden a bike all my life. I wanted to try the ebike out because, heck, who doesnt want to go farther and faster?! The Boulder shop is virtually across the street from me so on a Friday morning I popped in and and signed up for the four hour/half day rental. Bradford helped me and his service was 5 star.It was a dream ride - I mean every trip I have been dreaming of riding for the last 10 yrs but couldnt and all in four hours!I rode from Pedego on Broadway to Eldorado Spgs via Marshall, back out to Marshall Mesa and then left on Cherryvale to Table Mesa Drive, up the NCAR Rd., and back to Pedego. I figure about 30-35 miles-ish, pedal assist all the way, no throttle until the last mile!Now here is where I will caution you older folks and kids: it is really easy to over do it and especially in hot weather. The last mile I was overheated and weak - a little dizzy, frankly. I fell at the intersection of Regent and Broadway. I couldnt handle the throttle and weight of the bike anymore; I was getting weak and my reflexes were too slow. THANK GOD I only got an abrasion to the right knee and a kind young man stopped traffic to help me. I throttled the last mile back without issue except being a little shaken up and weak.Would I do it again? Heck yes I would, I had a great time and I take responsibility for my actions. However, here are some tips: I would ask that the water bottle holder on the step-thru be removed as this makes the step-thru near impossible. Also, I think the 26 inch was too big after all (I am 55 with short legs), and I would not get so carried away with mileage. Its just that fun! Remember too folks, there is a lot to think through with gears, pedal assist level, traffic, and balance. You need to stay nimble and alert at all times.If you do a guided tour or a half-day solo, you will enjoy every minute just remember to pace yourself. Total ***** experience. After having a nasty experience at Ebikes of Colorado in Louisville, we came to Pedego of Boulder to purchase my ebike. WOW ~ what a difference! Tina was WONDERFUL! We rented an E-bike Tandem and had an absolute blast. The condition of the bike was excellent, the paperwork minimal and their staff had us on the road in no time. We accidentally did some damage to the chain ring, in fact, we tweaked it quite badly and fully expected to have to pay for the repairs, or at least the replacement part. The owners, however, were very understanding of what had occurred and refused to accept any money for the damage. They were more concerned that we were unhurt. When I next have family visiting well rent again from this shop. E-bikes are a great way to see Boulder, CO. We might even return for another day on the tandem because it was so fun.

My mom was in town visiting and we decided to do a half-day Pedego electric bike rental to explore Boulder. None of us has experience riding electric bikes, but the Pedego staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We all had such a great time! The bikes were so much fun, we were able to travel all the way across the city and back using Boulders amazing network of bike paths along the creek without ever even working up a sweat. I would definitely recommend this as a fun day trip outing.

So glad we did this tour to see Boulder rather than just renting bikes and exploring on our own. We are from vegas and LOVED that the bike tour followed the water. I also appreciated that the houses were just beautiful and not cookie-cutter. Would recommend doing this again but bring your allergy meds, depending on the time of the year!

Best way to explore Boulder. We rented the pedego stretch that let my 5 & 6 yo sit in the back. Mike and Allison were so accommodating and even installed side bars for the boys who were a little concerned.When they heard we were exploring Boulder and thinking of moving here Mike offered to take us around for an hour plus tour!!All this after giving us a smoking deal.On the flip side another bike store that was cheaper told us they didnt have a bike for us even when we said wed come back the next day.Cannot recommend more!!!

I rented a Pedego Electric Bike from the Boulder Pedego shop. From start to finish the experience was wonderful. They set me up with a bike and a helmet all sanitized perfectly. Gave me flawless instruction on the bike and had me test it until I felt comfortable, with adjustments for my height. Tina (the store owner) and staff were so helpful and friendly. If you are a local or you are visiting the Boulder area. I highly recommend renting one of these fabulous bikes for a day, half day or take a tour! Did I mention how great the Pedego bike is to ride? I rode the stepthru Interceptor. The seat is so comfortable, the ride is smooth and the controls are so easy to use. After this experience I am convinced that this is the E-Bike for me. I know it sounds corny but it made me feel so free!

She responded promptly to my emails, patiently answered all of my questions, and helped me purchase the perfect electric bike. A new electric bike is the perfect cure for the COVID-blues! I always thought that I didn’t need an electric bike because I can muscle up the hills. True, I can sweat and work my way up the hills but an electric bike is so much more amusing! I’ve had so much fun riding around town! It’s the perfect way to be outside and socially-distanced. I love, love, love the electric bike and cannot possibly more highly recommend Tina and the local Pedego store. Try one.... you’ll be hooked!

Great shop with rentals, tours and sales. The new owner took over this shop in January & is doing a great job....nice, chill staff, solid tours & super friendly vibe. Check them out ... they are doing sales and tours by appt right now (hint: a terrific time to see Boulder by bike ... it’s quiet and you’ll have the city streets/bike lanes to yourself). My hubby & I rented bikes today for 4 hours (a great deal) and had a blast. We had done that formal tour last Sept and really enjoyed that too.

We went to Pedego Boulder to rent some electric Mountain Bikes and they bent over backwards to meet our needs. Since it was our honeymoon they let us keep the bikes an extra day for free! When we went to return the bikes they let us take some of the cruiser bikes around boulder for free as well! They have a very warm family culture at the store and they truly do their best to meet their customers needs. The owners are some of the most genuine, down to earth, thoughtful people we have met. I have never had such a great rental experience!

I brought my son on this tour for his 6th birthday (he rode on the back with me on the Pedego stretch) and we had the best time! Tina was an amazing guide, we saw so much of Boulder in 2 hours—the time flew by!

I tested and bought a mountain bike from Conor for commuting on May 26, 2019. It was a great experience. He had a lot of patience with me and my family. I also love my first e-bike. My folks have electric bikes, so to join them I decided to rent from Pedego and we spent the day cruising around Boulder! Not only was the bike incredible (I had it in the lowest pedal assist all day and it was very powerful) the people who worked there were super friendly and helpful. You could tell they were passionate about bikes. They also upgraded me to their newest bike - Ive never been so comfortable! We went up Boulder creek into the canyon, then back to Chataqua, NCAR, and finally around campus before heading back down the creek. Definitely an incredible day. I would highly recommend!

The employees at Pedego were incredibly helpful and very patient. Im sure they have answered the same question a million times but the responded as if this were the first.The Pedego bike is a bit more expensive than the other bikes I tried. This made sense after I rode one. They are smoother and have features not included in the other bikes. These are not frilly unnecessary, just ones that make for a more practical bike.I bought a used one that has been used as a rental for less than a year. They gave me the same 2 year warranty that they give on a new bike.I am loving doing errands on this instead of in the car.

Their customer service was absolutely amazing, I wouldnt hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for an electric bike or something fun to do around Boulder!

Overall we had a great experience here. The staff was super friendly and professional. They provided helpful information regarding bike routes/paths We had rented trail bikes; however, not being a local we were not aware that ebikes are not allowed on trails in Boulder county. This was a bit disappointing because we could not understand why the shop would rent trail bikes if they were not allowed on trails here. It would be helpful if this information was listed in the website, although perhaps I just missed it. Otherwise, we were happy with the experience.

Joined friends one fine day in Boulder on one of their Pedego Electric Bike tours... Fantastic! Staff was so helpful in acquainting us with our Sweet Rides... really, these bikes are the best way to see ALL of Boulder, along the Creek Trail, up into Boulder Canyon. Viewed both architecture & wildlife... Really got a feel for Boulder. Guaranteed Id do it again in a heartbeat next time in town. Not to be missed ! You can also independently rent a bike & ride your own way... Your choice. Cant go wrong here !

We did a half day rental. The guys at Pedego were so helpful and pleasant. My hubby and I in our late 50s and a bit worried about this adventure. After the first mile, we were confident and felt like kids again! I highly recommend everyone do this. The scenery is beyond beautiful and if you dont want to pedal...dont! We went out on a 100 degree day and never broke a sweat. This was the highlight of our Colorado visit!!!

Loved renting from this place! The employees were so helpful with giving me the rundown of how an e-bike works and teaching me the basics. One even went out of his way to ride with me to the trail to make sure I had the hang of it before setting me loose. The bikes themselves were a blast and excellent quality.

This was the most fun Ive had in Boulder! Definitely a great first date idea. Im not a huge bike rider (I dont even own a bike), but I love renting Pedegos. When you approach a hill, all you have to do is hit the throttle. If youre looking for a relaxing, fun, and unique way to explore the front range, I highly recommend giving this a try.

I did a lot of research into different brands of e-bikes. It was important to me to be able to test ride the bikes and have serviced if issues arise somewhat locally, versus other brands I would have to have shipped from across the country. I settled on a Pedego Ridge Rider and went to Boulder to test ride it and fell in love with it. I actually bought it during the off season for the store and the owner stayed in the shop while I drove almost two hours to get there. There was no sale pressure and I would recommend the shop to anyone curious about seeing what e-bikes are all about.

My husband and I were out riding our bikes 2 weeks ago and just happened to stop by Pedego of Boulder. WOW - what an experience!! Allison set us up on a test drive for the two of us, and the minute we took off on the bikes we were sold! I purchased the Interceptor and my husband got the Commuter. These bikes are perfect for any age - were both 62 and my hubby has bad knees. Going up hill was a breeze! He now rides his bike to work up US 36 to McCaslin. We absolutely are in love!! Kingsley called us when our bikes came in and we couldnt wait to get our hands on them. You wont regret buying these bikes. As my husband told me Im in love with my bike, and I have no buyer remorse.

In a short period of time we made it around CU, up to NCAR (I have to admit, effortlessly passing the traditional cyclists on long uphill was fun!), and around the extremely picturesque Boulder Creek Bike path and up a little into the canyon. You can choose to cover ground effortlessly with the throttle on the handlebar or get a little exercise with pedal assist. Either way, it’s a ton of fun!Highly recommend this tour whether you’re a local or as an introduction to Boulder!

My company stopped here and grabbed e-bikes for an hour to ride around town. We had a blast together traveling up the canyon. Great team bonding experience

I went with my husband to buy his bike with the intention of buying one in a couple of years. After riding one I too purchased a bike! Conor and his team spent quality time with us answering our questions, sharing information and getting us on bikes to try out. We still stay in touch, its a great Pedego bike shop, I highly recommend it.

Pedego Electric Bikes is an amazing addition to the Boulder community. While recently visiting Boulder, I rented an electric bike for the week instead of my usual rent-a-car. After effortlessly riding over 100 miles in 7 days time, I am thoroughly convinced there is no better form of transportation to navigate the Boulder area. Electric bike riders avoid the frustrations of traffic and parking while being able to enjoy the outdoors. I am very enthusiastic about Pedego Boulder and its positive impact on the environment and the community. These guys are on to something. This is definetley the way of the future.

Alison and Matt took us on a great tour around Boulder. The Pedego bikes were super fun to ride and you can put in as little or as much effort as you want. We rode along the Boulder Creek Path, around CU and up to NCAR, which is on a long uphill ascent. The pedal assist made it seem like a leisurely stroll. We then headed west on the Boulder Creek Path to extend our ride. Unfortunately heavy rain stopped us from continuing, otherwise we could have gone all day. We covered a lot of ground in a short amount of time. Its definitely a great way to see Boulder.

Rented these bikes for my dad coming to visit in CO (he was coming from sea level), and i wanted to show in around the town by bike. He had a BLAST. Afterwards we talked with the shop owner, Connor, who was incredibly patient and knowledgeable. Excellent customer service. He was very responsive on emails after we left the shop! We looked into purchasing an older model and we got a Stretch bike! We opted for the larger battery and it was the perfect decision. We got a great deal too! I LOVE MY PEDEGO! I use it for my daily commute, for groceries, or lazy weekend rides up the mountains. Highly recommend
