SUPER HELPFUL! SUPER REASONABLE! We picked our wedding venue partly because of the way they do alcohol with B Town. You order what you want, they deliver it, they pick up the unopened bottles and 12 packs and then buy them back after the wedding. This is the most reasonable practice regarding alcohol we found in the industry. Also if you like particular craft beers, this business allows you to have that at the venue rather than the regular beers that the venue serves. The staff was very friendly and very helpful.

She has recommendations for drinks your guests would like, she knows how much to order, and she is responsive and timely. She went out of her way to look for Washington State wine for our wedding, and we ended up getting a nice Red Blend and Chardonnay from a winery in Washington that we love. Our son and his fiancé decided to have their wedding in Colorado. We were concerned on the logistics of how we could get the beverages for the wedding reception since their venue did not provide alcohol. Sarah at B town was so easy to work with and provided all information necessary to make the wedding reception a fun, no stress event. Sarah provided us with recommendations for alcohol and we were able to adjust according to our wants. After the reception was over B town also bought back any leftover alcohol, which was great since we flew to Colorado from Ohio and would have been unable to take any leftovers home with us. We used B Town to provide liquor for our wedding last weekend and they were really great. I dont know if they do this for all weddings or if they have a special deal with our venue, but at the end of the wedding they bought back any *unopened* bottles of liquor/wine and packs of beer or cider. We had to keep what wed gotten into, but they gave us full price back on all the wine and stuff we didnt even open. Sarah was great to work with in terms of making all sorts of adjustments to their pre-arranged packages to upgrade a few liquors and add some of our favorite beer and cider they carry.

I love the relaxed no-pressure atmosphere of this store and the beverage ambassadors being the counter/register. If this was a bar/tavern, it would be the client as friends place where I would want to spend time. I really appreciate the variety of all beverages on the shelves. It’s my neighborhood “go-to”. I love this store! It has an excellent selection of alcoholic beverages, and knowledgeable staff. I believe they have the best lineup of Mezcal Ive seen in the area. Sara(h) is very knowledgeable about her stock, especially grapes-based concoctions. Any time Ive asked for a recommendation, she has steered me toward items which have become my favorites. As one reviewer said, the Surprise me route works every time. Whenever I hear or read about a special spirit Ive never tried, I go to B-Town first because the chances are they carry it.I appreciate the doggie cashier, who pops his head up from behind the counter to say hello. I believe biscuit tips are relished.I also appreciate that they are still enforcing COVID protocols and wearing face masks. I feel much safer shopping there because customers are required to wear masks. B-town offers disposable masks to those who forgot to bring their own. It is unfortunate that some individuals are not mature or civil enough to abide by simple rules designed to protect others.

B Town is a fantastic little gem on the east side of Boulder. It’s not the biggest store, but it seems they focus on quality over quantity when it comes to stocking their shelves. The wine selection is vast and the folks there are very knowledgeable when it comes to picking the right bottle. The spirits shelves have some unique and sought after bottles you can’t find in other stores. They have regular beer tastings with some established brands as well as up and coming microbreweries in the area. The thing you can get at B town is a solid relationship with the team so that if you are looking for something specific, unique or interesting, they will work with you to find it.B town is a great alternative to the big box retailer with a neighborhood feel and a specialized selection of bottles you won’t find anywhere else around Boulder.

My husband and I come to this, our neighborhood wine store, on a regular basis to find new wines and to learn something about how and where they are made. Trent, the owner, tells us that he likes to specialize in wines produced by the people who grow their own grapes--usually smaller family-run establishments. This appeals to us, as does the personal service and the great prices.No snooty oenophiles here--just people looking for a great wine at a good price. They will even keep a record of what you buy so you can go back and find a favorite at a later date. Highly recommended.

Fantastic selection. When you move to a new town, you have to go through that process of finding all the good sources of essentials (grocers, doctors, hair dressers, dry cleaners, etc.) Well, I found my source of great variety in whiskeys, wine, and beer at B-town. I was blown away when I went to peruse the Scotch shelves and found four varieties of my favorite Scotch Distillery (usually I struggle to find a single bottle). If you think youd like to expand your palate and learn about different wines or liqueurs, this would be a great place to ask for some suggestions.

The selection of wine and beer is excellent. I have gone to several wine tastings and really enjoyed some wines that I otherwise probably would not have tried. The people who work there are friendly and knowledgeable ... not at all pushy or snooty. I highly recommend this store. I have not been disappointed in anything they recommended.

I cant recommend these guys. They have an OK selection of Bourbon/Scotch, but their attitudes ruin the whole experience. Theres no other way to put it, these guys are consistently rude to their customers. They are rude to your face, and they are rude on the phone.Dont believe me? Give them a call and ask them about a non-standard product. If they even bother to check, you will definitely get a rude response. Customer Service still matters, and these guys dont deserve your hard earned money. Take a look at some of these reviews carefully. Youll notice the pattern.

Stopped in after getting a coffee at ozo and was impressed to say the least. They have an amazing selection, they really know their stuff and they pass discounts they get off to their customers. I bought a $25 bottle of Chianti for $7.99.When I asked the owner what was wrong with it he laughed and told me that they liked to give people the opportunity to try something they normally wouldnt. Trent was great, super helpful. The prices were some of the best I have seen in town. I strongly recommend that you check this place out. They took over three months ago, remodeled and really did a great job.

My Mom and I have been coming here since it opened and I would not recommend any other liquor store in Boulder over B Town. It has the neighborhood vibe but an excellent selection of hard to find items. B Town is THE place to buy liquor. My husband and I stumbled upon Trent Shaoul (the owner of B Town) when he worked as the wine buyer at a previous liquor store location. We found that he had an amazingly good grasp of just which wines we liked. So when we heard that he was opening up B Town -- we followed him there. Now we simply walk in (or call in) and tell Trent what we are looking for, and in minutes he will make up a case of wines that consistently delights us. And he surprises us with new finds, so we are always discovering new wines that are really wonderful. Trent knows his wines! I was so bummed when Ace closed and Trent seemed to disappear. My husband came home one day with a big grin on his face and announced he had found Trent... And B Town! GREAT selection of whatever you are looking for. And if you are lucky, youll get a juicy lick from Tonka, the awesome resident lab mix.

Trent is amazingly knowledgable and all the staff are incredibly friendly. Explain what you are looking for, and they will have the best recommendation for you. I highly recommend also visiting when they are doing one of their tastings, youll feel like youve become an expert just listening to them.

Good stuff, they always have great recommendations for beer, wine, and a variety of interesting drinks. They have lots of rare and local beers for their size, including the Avery barrel-aged beers, sour beers, and a nice selection of single malt Scotch, at what seems to be fairly competitive prices.

Dont let its not grocery store size fool you; this awesome store has one of the most carefully curated collections of beer, wine, spirits, and liqueurs (especially bitters and aperitifs) in town.

Great little store that packs a lot of punch. I tend to pop in from time to time for a variety of newer beer releases, pinot noirs, and quality rye whiskey offerings. Im not typically inclined to write reviews, but a recent occurance motivated me to do so..I purchased some whiskey from Btown then saw the same whiskey on a flash sale from Hazels a day later- I was immediately bummed that I could of saved money spending it elsewhere. After emailing the store about their return policy, they responded immediately and offered two options: to return the whiskey or I could accept a gift card for the difference in price between the two stores. Awesome! Great costumer service makes me want to keep coming back here and supporting the smaller local business. Cheers guys-Patrick

Fast friendly service, great selection!

Just finished a great single malt tasting a B-Town, cant say enough about this place, great selection, attentive knowledgeable staff who make you feel welcome every time.

I was a big fan of Ace before it closed down, mainly as a result of Trents skill at finding bottles that I wouldnt ever have managed to find elsewhere: a 1998 pomerol to celebrate the birth of my daughter (and, four years later, another bottle of the same wine that hed squirreled away, just in case), a case of riesling that Im still hoarding after 6 years. And so I was delighted when I found out about B Town which, if Im honest, makes Ace look like a poor relative. The stores wonderfully laid out and, almost alone among liquor stores, wonderfully light (it makes a difference, oddly enough, although Im not sure why) and the selection fabulous. Once again, Trent, now with Yvan, seems to have a knack for finding absolute gems that you wont find anywhere else (and believe me, Ive looked) and for finding them at prices that even those of us who always want things just a little bit cheaper are going to jump at. They still have everything youd want from a liquor store of this caliber - good Bordeaux, The Prisoner, Lioco, and so on, and a fabulous beer and spirits selection - but its the unusual finds that make this place for me. Bar none, the best liquor store in Boulder.

Are you busy? I am. Do you value perspective and peripheral knowledge when youre indulging? I do. Will you pay more for superior customer service? Id rather not!B-town liquors, more specifically Trent and Ivvan (sorry if I spelled it wrong), believe that expertise and customer service shouldnt have to cost more. Trent and Ivvan are both gifted Sommeliers, with an emphasis in delivering solid value for the dollar. Trent specializes in both thrifty and top-end reds, while Ivvan is your champagne, white wine, and French wine expert. They find the $10 bottles that taste like the $25 bottles and they pass that insight and saving on to you. Did I mention the case discounts, and customer loyalty program? Of course if you, like me, like to splurge once in a while they also know the top end...very well. Furthermore, they have an impressive selection of distilled and high proof liquors (Daddy needs his medicine, after all) at competitive prices (and many rare brands). I am a bourbon, tequila, vodka man. Gin is for crazies! Not judging.These guys have a vision! How many liquor stores have that? They believe that luxury should be for everyone. Whatever your price point, they have a quality offering and they believe that their personal service, experience, and competitive price will keep you coming back. I believe it too.Go talk to them, dont buy a thing. Just go talk. Tell them what you like. They have wine tastings, whisky tastings, many fringe customer benefits and they value relationships. Chances are, youll find everything youre looking for, or theyll order it for you. I havent even mentioned their craft beer or other special offerings (a wide assortment of bitters, for instance). Tell them Christopher Kraser sent you, and theyll treat you like family. I love these guys and you will too!
