This is my optometrist for over 18 years now. My 13 yo son wanted soft contact lenses and we went to a different location at first ... long story...because Covid... Anyway, the other location had a high stress environment and my son was not able to put in and take out the contacts in the office within their time limit, and the other location wouldnt allow him to try at home with more time. This location in Boulder City, not only calmly allowed him as much time as he needed in office, but also let him take the lenses home and try until he got used to putting them in and taking them out. They even replaced three pairs for free that he damaged in the first couple months while trying to learn how to handle them. They are great with all 4 of my kids that have glasses (or contacts) including my 6 year old who would guess during the vision test instead of answering honestly. Dr. Jensen did an excellent job of dialing in his prescription and didnt charge for remakes caused by incorrect responses to the vision test. They are always polite and kind. If I could give extra stars I would. This is the best optometrist I have dealt with in my 35 years of experience with glasses and contacts.
Staff very professional and friendly. Would absolutely recommend to others. From the call to have an appointment to the exam, great customer service!
They were extremely helpful and way out of their way to help me ! Nice local place !
Clean. Courteous staff. Dr. Jensen is friendly and a good eye doctor!
Excellent place to get glasses
I give Dr Jensen and the women at Boulder City Clearvision all the stars! After recently having suffered health issues, I desperately needed new glasses. Their office got me in quickly,, were so kind, explained everything, and made the experience enjoyable. I was told my glasses would take 10 to 15 days and they were back in 6! Plus, even after a paperwork snaffoo, it was quickly resolved and worked out! It may be a little on the pricey side but the service was excellent!! Thank you, Clearvision!
Tried sell glasses I didnt need. Also glasses made for wife were too strong. Return and made another pair worst than the ones they made before.
Terrible service. I will now be waiting six weeks for glasses that were supposed to take two weeks. I had to call them after almost three weeks when they never contacted me. Finally they show up the day before Thanksgiving. So I call from work and get a nervous person on the phone. I think this was from the worry they may have to stay till closing before Thanksgiving in order to deliver to me thier two week late glasses. So whatever I relent. I will wait til next Friday. I am busy most of Friday with house stuff and plan on going in late afternoon to get my now three week late glasses. But nope not happening. They close by two on the only day off the week I can go........ Nice schedule I guess if you can get it. I wont ever go back here again though. Also when you call after hours (which in thier seemingly singular universe is after 2pm..?) they put you on an almost endless loop. Took me about 10 minutes on hold to leave a message. Closing this early with no Saturday hours at all is ridiculous for people who have to work.
Treated terribly by staff. They cancelled my appointment twice...then rescheduled me and confirmed it by phone. When I arrived, I was told I didnt have an appointment... period...then tried to blame me that they were waiting for me to call in...wasted months on this...extremely unprofessional and rude...
The web site says open but no-one ever answers the phone so I can schedule an appointment
Easy, quick. In and out.
Excellent customer service!!!
My wife told them she needed glasses she could wear all the time but her main use would be working on the computer. They sold her $800 glasses with progressive lenses. We know progressives take some time to get used to. She tried them and realized there was no place on the lenses were the prescription was right for looking at her computer. She told them what she needed the glasses for and they decided she needed progressives (the most expensive lenses they could sell her). They didnt even make sure her mid distance prescription was in the middle of the lense.I went with her to discuss correcting this problem. All they would do is fit bifocal lenses. She over paid for progressives and ended up with bifocals. They refunded about $24. Not much for an $800 screw up.I asked for her prescription and they printed it out for us. Of course it didnt have the PD (pupil distance) on it. This is a standard ploy of retail opticians so you cant take your prescription somewhere else and get it filled without being ripped off. I asked for the PD and they grudgingly provided it. I then asked for the bifocal prescription. The girl helping us had some reason she couldnt print it out even though she had it on the screen. I had her turn the screen so I could see it and write it down. The office manager objected that I was breaking the law by writing it on the prescription they printed out for us.Buy your glasses online for 1/10 of what they charged. I use eyebuydirect but there are a lot of place online you can order glasses, coastal, zinni. A google search will turn up half a dozen places.I just received glasses today that cost me $12. I softened my regular prescription by 0.75 to use them as computer glasses.Dont buy glasses at Clearvision and I would hesitate to get an exam there because of their unscrupulous practices. Where ever you go make sure your distance PD and bifocal PD are on the prescription. You dont have to pay ridiculous amounts of money for glasses.
