Went in blind for the first time a couple weeks ago because I don’t read comics often but have been wanting to get more into it. Rob and John helped me narrow down what kind of comics I should start out with and they gave me great recommendations. Once i’m done with this pile of books I will be going back. I really appreciated how helpful and kind they were with someone who doesn’t know much about comics :)

Russ is the best, hands down. Professional, courteous, friendly, respectful, and honest. He knows his comic book and Magic cards and can talk for hours about them. To be fair, the vast majority of comic shop owners are nice and all but Russ is on a whole other level. Just dont stand over his shoulder when he is looking at a collection that he might buy and go oh! A McFarlane spider man!

First time going in here. Owner was at the front desk organizing some comics. Very friendly and relaxed, not pushy about anything. I said it was my first time in his shop and he gave me a quick rundown of the place and was available if needed for any questions. I appreciated his relaxed and helpful manner. My daughter and I were able to pick out some comics appropriate for both of us and I picked up some assorted dice for a good price as well. Will return.

Great shop! The employee, who wore a kilt by the way, was helpful and conversational. All the comics come with cardboard and plastic free of charge, which Ive never seen before. Mill Geek seems like a particularly good shop to for collectors. They have so many long boxes full of old comics! The selection of new stuff is a little sparse, and they dont have very many trades. But that doesnt bother me. They have almost all the mainstream stuff.

Amazing owner who truly cares about his customers and providing a valuable product. Worth shopping here for all your nerd-related needs. Cant recommend highly enough!!

The owner Russ was super nice and helpfull, they have a great comicbook selection and all the comics on display were all baged and boarded! I got a copy of fearscape #1 and venom #13. 10/10 I would be comming back if I did not live on the other side of the country.

Today I called asking for a specific book. The manager was very rude and said he had already told me he does not have a copy. I told him I havent called before about it and told him thank you for telling me. He then told me he recognized my phone number on caller ID. I looked through my calls and I do not have a previous call to this shop in the last few months (the book came out in February). My fiancé then called because I said the manager was really rude to me and he told her I was a flea trying to get a $25 book for $4. First off, I never called previously. Second, I would be willing to pay true value if they had a copy. Third, I am not a flea and there is no reason to be rude to customers who had supported and rooted for you. I have never once tried to talk down the price of a comic book. The manager was very rude to myself and my fiancé and it was completely uncalled for. I used to love coming into this shop and talked about it frequently to others who are interested in comics. However, due to this experience, I will not be taking younger family members to this shop who are starting to get into comics and I will no longer support this shop. It was one of my favorite shops and I could easily spend over an hour looking through back issues. Even if I had called previously, the manager could have been nicer and not called me a flea, which I am not as I am more than willing to pay true value. I was not trying to find a cheap version of a book that as grown in value. I was simply looking for the book, period, regardless of the price now. It makes me sad that I had this experience and that now I will no longer support a store I really loved.

Im biased but I enjoy this quaint little store. Lots of room for card games (mostly Magic) but the front entrance has everything you need as a comic lover. There are plenty of older issues in back to try and find a hidden gem. Russ and his crew are knowledge and friendly. If you have questions about comics or just want to chat. They are comic lovers first and a business second.

Wow what a great comic shop! Found some cool old comics in good shape in their random bins. Prices were awesome and staff was super friendly. I will definitely come back. This is a store totally worth checking out. They also host Magic the Gathering games/events and have lots of single cards to look through. A little tricky to find as they are in the very back of the building so keep driving around. The sign pointing you in the right direction could be much much larger.All in all though, solid 5 stars!

Amazing customer service!

Have had the pleasure of working with Russ, he is a great shop owner. Hes always been there to help me with my deck setups and considering his immensely busy schedule I am floored with how well he handles the tournaments and just keep everything together. I definitely recommend this store for all your card buying needs and knowledge.

Russ is fantastic. If you need a place for grab the latest issues or just want to talk shop, definitely check it out. Of course lots of magic cards too. The best part is the $0.25 comic bins in the back, not organized but good stuff hidden in there.

It is a fun and open environment. It has everything from games to comics and tabletop. Russ the owner is awesome and is always welcoming and enjoyable to talk to. Great place for new players for a multitude of games, I usually go for Dungeons and Dragons books and Magic the Gathering Drafts and Sealed games.

Very helpful and friendly guys here at this shop. I generally hate giving reviews but these guys are awesome and truly deserve a great rating. Not only do these guys bend over backwards to help you but they have the best prices at any card shop Ive seen. The players that come for casual play are also very friendly, helpful and numerous which makes the gaming even more fun.

For the amount of smack owner talks about other local shops, I expected Mill Geek to be something really special. Instead, it was a sad disappointment. The majority of the shop is taken up by gaming tables, and the comic selection is pretty thin. Mill Geek is pretty okay for an MtG retailer, but considering I can get booster packs at the grocery store for the same price, there isnt much point making an extra trip to a comic shop tucked behind a 7-11. No wonder the owner feels compelled to spread unfounded rumors about his competition.

This is the friendliest place to enjoy comic books, card/board games and Magic The Gathering that I have ever been to. The owner, Russ, is exceptionally friendly and overall great guy. The regulars who play at the shop make it one big family gathering. 5/5

If you have not been, you should stop in at least once. There is a wide variety of products for a variety of interests. A great place with friendly people.___LOCATION___The location is tucked behind the building (facing the apartments) behind the gas station. There is angled parking lined in the back.___PEOPLE___The people (staff + customers) welcome you in and always are open to include you in their conversations. The community is very friendly. Whether you want to talk about games, magic, comics, local events, or even the weather you can find it a welcomed conversation. The knowledge of the owner and his staff is vast.___MTG___The MTG Singles selection in the case always seem to be rotating to meet supply/demand. There are also bulk rares you can hunt through if you are feeling up to it. Most of the sets are organized in binders by card # for easy searching if you want a specific card.___COMICS___Comics are tucked away in a separate room, which is a nice touch to give you a little privacy while browsing. Comics are priced based on current values and are very reasonable. I was able to pick up some fun $0.25 comics for my daughter.___EVENTS___They have special event nights (i.e. Commander Thursdays) to meet a wide variety of interests. Just check in on the events for what interests you. All are welcome to join any night as a walk-in. Some events you will need to register.

This is a really friendly comic book store with a really welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend shopping here! This store is NOT Magic Mill Comics who has refused a customer for poor reasons.

My son and I come to play Friday Night Magic drafts almost every week at Mill Geek for about a year now. We often bring my sons friend(s) with us. The kids played at other stores where their schoolmates go but always said they liked Mill Geek the most because of the friendly and relaxed environment. They also like winning a booster pack for every won match - lets them feel good even if they win a single match. I look towards playing at Mill Geek as a mini vacation. Lots of nerds to chat and get advice from.

Owner is super friendly and happy to answer any questions. Recent back issues are often half off. Carries new and used back issues and graphic novels. Location can be a little hard to find, but well worth the effort.

I have had nothing but great experiences with Russ. Not only do they have fantastic comics, but they have Magic pre-releases, packs and singles! Russ is a fantastic owner and very friendly. He is always willing to answer questions with a friendly attitude and he has a lot of fantastic knowledge. He has a returning customer in both my son and I.

Owner is very cool. The store is a bit underwhelming. Big emphasis on Magic the Gathering card game. He has a great selection of used comics in back. This is a very grass roots place.Dont let the difficult location dissuade you. Parking is funky but drive around the back of the building to find the location of the store. You will see what I mean when you get there.

Local comic store to my home. I moved away and re visited almost a year later and owner remembered who I was. Also did my first MTG event here. Friendly. Fair prices. Love it and will always spend money here whenever I visit home.

My family has been going to Mill Geek for a couple years now. We started looking for comic shops to find Adventure Time comics for my then 5 year old son. We went to Mill Geek on Free Comic Book Day and it was night and day from the other shops we went to.Russ (the owner) clearly loves comics - all of them. He knows the kids stuff and hes been great at getting trades and various non-superhero books in for me. Hes also given us recommendations for new books for my son as hes gotten older.Comic book shops can have a certain stigma about who and what is acceptable or legitimate in the medium and I am happy to say I have never experienced that with Russ. The guy loves comics. Hes there to get people the comics they love (and show them new things if theyre interested). Thats why he gets our business every time.

Mike and Russ have built community in this place. Become a regular and youre like family. I love these guys.Good selection of comics but fewer trade paperbacks than other stores. Theyll special order anything for you though so sall good.Magic singles and products are limited selection but growing in quality and quantity. Events have high attendance (40+ at pre-releases). Thursdays are EDH night. Its pretty Spikey so bring your best.

I feel that some of the employees at this shop are discriminatory against particular customers. I would give this place a 1 star, but it seems 1 star reviews are being erased, and replaced with fake 5 star reviews. You know, if you run a business you should not be bigoted. Thats not acceptable in this day, and age. I will be making a complaint to the Better Business Bureau for the lack of ethics. However, I would like to emphasize that I did not say all employees. This comic shop is nice, run and maintained by an awesome collector and shop keeper, if you want a place to play magic the gathering here is where you can do that (though I really never got into it), Russ the owner is polite and respectful of his customers and their ideologies and opinions, he is respectful if you’re apart of fandoms like the Brony fandom (speaking from personal experience), when I was an active customer there were game nights that he hosted, it feels like he took all the awesomeness of a parents basement and put it into a shop, Russ has opened a comic shop that is just awesome to be in to buy/sell/talk comics, cards, and posters.

In most large comic book shops the majority of their inventories are comprised of new issues and lots and lots of merch. Not so with Mill Geek Comics!First of all, what a cute clever name! Secondly, they had the largest collection of Silver and Bronze that Ive seen in a very long time- possibly ever. Beware though: it isnt really organized. However, the owner sounded like this was still a work in progress and also, who doesnt enjoy rummaging through comic boxes not knowing what youll find?!The owner was very helpful and nice. Location isnt the best but its worth finding.

Mill Geek comics is an awesome place to play mtg commander because on Thursdays there is typically at least 20 people to play with, which is a ton more than other card shops.

Best MTG Ive ever been too. Moved away from the area but still visit whenever in town.
