I called up Wine Valley as my contractor needed some more product to finish up our siding project. We had initially purchased our siding through another supplier, but after calling them they were unable to deliver next day like we needed to stay on schedule. Having been to Wine Valley in the past, my contractor believed we could get the product same day to finish up on schedule if we picked up. I called up and spoke with an inside salesman who was courteous and helpful, and when I asked if they could price match my other supplier he told me I needed to call the outside salesman Brian. I picked up the phone and called the outside salesman Brian and told him I was a homeowner calling on behalf of our contractor (who he knew) and asked him if they would price match the other supplier. If so we would be by to pick up today to continue our project. I was expecting a simple yes or no. When I got ahold of this outside salesman, he was rude from get go and told me multiple times that myself and my contractor could “go fish” if we wanted them to match the other price. He then proceeded to tell me how my contractor doesn’t buy that much from him and there is a reason why he doesn’t get “that good of a price”. I’ll be delaying my project just so my money doesn’t end up in the pockets of a guy like this salesman.
