They are great. Its the first time I was there. They need more signs on the property to tell patrons how the process begins.I stopped by there first and left a message before and then i got a call from them too. The prices are awesome too.

Fruhling is the only place I will purchase material from, full stop. I spent a number of years driving aggregate dump trucks around Seattle and know what XX tons/yards looks like when dumped. Never mind the fact you can see the scale weight on your invoice, tare and net. For those who are confused in other reviews, you are paying for truck time on deliveries. From the time that truck takes a tare weight (empty at the beginning), until the driver comes back in the gate after delivering your load, you are renting the truck with driver(who is NOT earning min wage as was implied elsewhere). If you plan poorly and the driver is stuck in traffic, the price of your load is going up fast. So plan ahead, make use use of that truck and buy full loads, or rent a pickup haul less than full loads yourself. Lastly, Fruhlings are a locally owned and operated family business, at least two generations I know of personally, perhaps a third in there by now. So support local, do it with a little forethought and it will most likely be the best deal in town too.CheersP.S. See that lot they have there, that is as big as it will ever be. If it fills up with sod and stumps, thats it, no more room for anything. The reason you THINK they are scamming you for dumping these types of materials, they do not want them and it is reflected in the price. If people only knew what sod does to the person working the screens day/week, be kind, take it to Pacific.

Wow. I have never posted a negative review ever, but the woman that answered the phone was so rude I had to do it. I called to order mulch/topsoil. This would be a pretty large order as my neighbor and I are going to share. We would need a minimum of 300 cubic yards Approximately 10 grand. Obviously I want to be sure I am getting the right product so I asked some questions. Her response was I am not a landscaper I have no idea. Super rude, dismissive and clearly annoyed she had to talk to me at all. I am not a sensitive person and I have a lot of patience with people in customer service but I wish I could give zero stars. Taking my money elsewhere.

I called and spoke with Jason, he told me a yard was 38 dollars for compost and then told me 3 yards delivered was 50$. I signed up for deliver as this was a better price. They delivered but my price was $175, charged after dumping. I called and talked again to Jason and explained that I was quoted a price of 50$ for 3 yards. Jason was unkind in his response stating that he does this all day and that he always explains it correct. When I told him that I was one customer that he did not explain this too he said You are not going to win this and I was told there was no supervisor to talk to and he hung up. I will not return despite them being close to me house.

We have called them and asked what would be best for composted soil for vegetable garden. They said 3-way top soil we bought it, completely disappointed with it. soil is mostly with clay less compost which becomes like hard rock and fails to drain water quicky which makes it muddy. Over all no vegetables or plants can survive in such soil. We had to spend 10 times money to fix what we spent for buying this trash soil and 1month time to make fixes by adding store brought sand perlite compost gypsum.Lost many plants because of this soil.I will give it negative stars if possible.

You will not find garbage in Fruhlings soil. I have purchased soil from several other places, never have I had this quality. Plus the staff is very helpful. My vehicle had a flat tire, didnt notice until it was filled with soil, and they helped me change it.

Not the best. Prices can vary....depending on who knows what. The staff can be grumpy and not so helpful. But the drive to the top of their hill is nice. Short story: pulled my pickup next to the gravel bin waiting to be loaded. Wife sitting in truck. Their guy drives by in the water truck wetting down the road. Sprays water, and lots of it, all over the truck and the wife through the window. Just another day at the Fruhling yard with the minimum wage laborers pissed off at the world. Try Clearview Nursery and Stone for better service.

Friday, Would not dump in pictured location asked for back yard. Said he could damage city sewer 20ft over side yard grass where cars have been parked. Driver said no problem he would come back another day to dump by close to road. Monday and now the dispatcher wants more money. Going someplace else. Out $180 for 3yrds pea gravel. No tefunds. Price seemed high for exactly a three yard dump truck. Only 5 min away.

We have been trying to find someone to supply me with some landscaping materials. We decided to stop by Fruhlings to see what kind of prices they had. I decided to order top soil from them and have it delivered. They told me they could not deliver it until noon that day.....that day? Over Memorial Weekend? Cannot get that kind of service anywhere else. I still need to order bark and pea gravel and you can guess where I am getting it from...

If you are wanting to recycle yard debri or wood products, highly over priced. Amazing that if you go there with cash in hand you dont get a receipt, dishonest employees pocketing money? Tried to charge me $60 for disposing of cedar fencing this morning and told me know their printer was not working, 60 bucks? Told him it was to much and went to the mountlake terrace dump and it cost me $21. Im a contractor and will never go there again.

Way over priced!! I took dirt and some old sod in and was shocked that I was charged for the size of the pickup box and not on how much was in the bed of the truck. I was charged $100 for a half of standard pickup box. I shopped around and for a full truck box at Pacific Topsoils it was only $41.

These guys are crooks. I took a tree stump there and they charged me $200. Unknowing at the time that I was getting ripped off I paid it only to find out later that day an even bigger tree stump at United Recycling was only a $20 dump fee. They are crooks and I wont be back.
