I visited several downtown jewelers to re-sell two diamond pieces. Other places I visited quickly looked at the pieces and gave me a price. Not only did Fran and Al give me the best price, they took the time to clean the pieces and sit down and educate me on diamonds and how pieces are valued. I would highly recommend Bromfield for their exceptional customer service and fair pricing.

I went to Bromfield with GIA certified diamonds that were lovely. Perhapstoo lovely because I got a check that was several thousand less than promised that bounced. When I called and asked for my diamonds backthey insisted on giving me a “bank certified” check that didn’t clear either. I will be going back with the police to recover to stones.Stay far, far away from these swindlers!

Rude and buys way below market price. You will get a better deal elsewhere. Im judging them by whoever manages their phone calls on this exact google maps. so no its not mixed up you just need to work on your customer service.

My experience there was excellent. Allen and Fran were so funny and friendly! They picked up my call right away and answered my question regarding selling jewelry for cash. I drove an hour there and parked right in front of the shop- one of them even watched my car since I didn’t want to pay for parking (Boston parking is expensive) as the other helped me! I sold my late wifes jewelry collection to Bromfield Jewelers back in June 2016. I meant to provide a review but I was in the process of buying a new condo at Hampton Beach NH. My experience with Allan and Fran was very enjoyable and I sincerely feel I received a fair market price for her collection. They are easy going, friendly, knowledgeable and making fyou feel at ease is high on their list of priorities! My objective to selling her jewelry was to give myself some reserve funds and in a way have my wife contribute to my new condo. In summary I purchased my beach front condo for $340K, today its worth about $420K and it generates about $20K of annual rental income! I went into Bromfield Jewelers looking to sell a bunch of old gold and silver pieces. I worked with Allan who was very helpful, funny, and assessed the pieces I brought in quickly. I was very pleased with the offer they made. Not sure why there are any negative reviews about this place—a true gem of a jewelry buyer and will definitely return in the future!

Went in very unsure of all the random jewelry I found when cleaning out my room. Allan brought me into his office and reviewed each piece with me. He was so kind when weeding through my costume jewelry and what had real value. I’m very pleased with my experience and the cash I walked out with. Will definitely be back to Bromfield Jewelers!

100% recommend this place. I was a walk-in (I called first and checked) and Allan sat with me while he went over all the necklaces and bracelets I had (family jewelry I was getting rid of). He explained everything he was doing and was super friendly and laidback. I was nervous since Ive never sold gold or anything like this before, but he made it really easy, and I left with the amount of money I was expecting to get. Allan helped me with a jewelry appraisal. I was present while he assessed the pieces. He asked me questions about them and explained the process very well in an easy, approachable manner. I appreciate the time he took to do this, and I walked away with a little more knowledge than I had before. If I ever decide to sell, I would definitely go to Bromfield Jewelers.

I had great customer service. alan and Chris could not have been more helpful. I had and expired coupon and they went out of their way to make it work. My sister loved the earrings and they were of great quality. I will definitely be back.

Management was not helpful and understanding. Their workers usually never showed up to work. Hardest part of the selling was being put into a potion I knew nothing about, but I adapted. the most enjoyable part of the selling was theLeaving.

I had two 10K gold mismatched earrings that were sitting in my jewelry box unused, of course, and decided to stop in here to sell them. I received friendly treatment and a very fair price. Am pleased.

6 months agoI have been pawning things with them for a long time and just today I lost my items due to a change in the way they do things...In the past when I have pawned something, I have 4 months to redeem the ticket, or at the forfeit date, come in and make a minimum month interest payment...also, they have always given a grace period to get that interest payment in. My ticket came due yesterday, so I went in this morning and was told that my stuff should have been on the floor for sale already is the manager was working, or I could pay 2 months interest payment. I said what happened to the grace period for the interest payment that they have always given and why is 2 months interest payment due instead of one? The employee told me they dont do that anymore. I asked her why they didnt inform current ticket holders that they have changed their policies before the due date so they wouldnt lose their items. She said they would have called me and told me the day it was due to tell me that needed to pay 2 months or lose my stuff. Long story short, I went in to make one month interest payment on my stuff the morning after, didnt have the 2 months payment which has never been the way in the past, and also they did away with their grace period on interest payments without telling anyone who currently was holding a pawn ticket. I lost my items today and am very upset.. When they bought and changed they way they did things, they told everyone ahead of time so people would not lose their items. I only went because it was closer to my house...BIG mistake and now I lost my items. Maybe they changed they way they do things on the tickets of items they wanted people to forfeit...hmm

There are a million choices for jewelers in down town Boston; Bromfields is by far the best choice. Not only do they have an excellent selection of beautiful jewelry to buy, they also have the best customer service I have come across in the entire city, in all of my years here. I could not be happier with my experience at Bromfields. 10/10 would recommend for any buying, repairing or other jewelry needs in Boston.

Sold them an estate piece; very straightforward and low/no pressure.

Fantastic experience. My mother wanted to sell some excess jewelry, and they took the time to explain what each piece was worth and why. We never got that theyre selling jewelry so they must be desperate feeling. Having done some research, we never felt they were trying to lowball us, and we got a fair price. For my next jewelry purchase, (or if my mother has more jewelry she never wears), Bromfield would absolutely be one of my stops.

Gee did I feel small upon leaving that store! I walked away feeling that my little ole ring that was slightly smaller than a carat wasnt good enough to be sold there!! Spoke with a gentlemen that was very cold and not so customer friendly!!! It wasnt so much what he said but how it he said it...borderline condenscending!
