When you walk in, dont be overwhelmed by the choices or make any assumptions. When they offer to help, take them up on it. Youll get all the information you need, plus youll get to touch it, smell it, try it, the works. Sheena was the best and spent a ton of time with me making sure I got exactly what I wanted. In addition, I also got a Royal Shave, Express Facial and Scalp Treatment. My Master Barber was Jose. I have my guy in Connecticut, but I have to be honest - Jose gave me the best shave I ever received. I would highly recommend you call and request him - and call well in advance. I purchased an Art of Shaving kit online including the badger brush, preshave oil,shaving cream, and aftershave lotion. I really had no clue how the four step system worked when I received the kit, and was still unsure how much of each product was recommended while shaving. I visited the Newbury street store to get my questions answered and the staff there were generally pretty friendly and helpful answering my questions. This location has a nice barber area in the back that offers hair cuts and shaves, although I have yet to try these services (and probably wont) given the price. Overall Im very happy with the Sandalwood line of shaving products. Although the products are way more expensive than the cheap generic shaving cream you can get at the store, when used in tandem with each other they provide a noticeably better shave and the whole experience is much more enjoyable.

I really hate when I go somewhere and feel like the person cutting or my hair or fixing my beard is rushing. I will probably never move away from going here because you really get what you pay for. Worth every dollar.
