They will waste your time! I should have known not to bring my car there after my husbands experience. He put his car in the shop and they constantly kept pushing back his return date. I went there anyway because it was close to my home. Big mistake. Apparently the owner was not there so they called him on the phone. He assured me he would be there in 10 minutes. I asked if that was a real time frame. He said yes and had me wait over 40 minutes. They just want your money. Dont respect your time.

I never write reviews for anything, but this shop went above and beyond for me. Needed a rusted panel removed from underneath my car. Not only did they squeeze me in on my lunch break while they were super busy, but they also wouldnt charge me for the service - even though it was more difficult than I expected and offered to pay. Truly genuine location and great quality of service. Rare find at auto shops these days! Highly recommended. Whole staff was great.

My car was side swiped and Danny and his team repaired not just the part of my car that was covered by my insurance, but also buffed out huge scrapes from when I foolishly used a solo cup instead of a snow scrapper on the hood of my car months prior. It did take longer than I thought it would to repair - mostly due to my insurance company and backordered parts, though the end product made it well worth the wait. He also helped me greatly with the rental car. I am new to the area and am grateful I came to South Bay Auto Body.

First and foremost I’ll never bring my car anyplace else. Danny is a solid guy I drive a Corvette on short notice after it was damaged he said bring it in tomorrow I dropped my car off the next day and boom. Entire car as if it just left the lot a honest sincere gentleman who takes care of his customers like family. I’ve dealt with Danny on three occasions this year all have been great experiences. When my Lexus was damaged he made my car brand spanking new I completely fell back in love with it. If you want a shop that knows how to deal with high end or and class of car you will never need to look any further. His crew of guys are perfectionist at their work if somethings not right they are not just going to give it back they will go out their way put in the extra work to satisfy the customer. I highly recommend South Bay Auto Body for everyone’s car needs. They were professional and helpful. I had my front bumper fixed in a day for a very low cost. I will definitely go back!

Danny is a very nice guy first of all. But the people do did the work on my car the first time taped the plastic piece above the wheel instead of changing the whole thing. Mind you insurance was paying for it. I came back and they fixed it. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I went back after someone hit my car and dented the whole passenger side rear door. I had to replace the whole thing. The door was not installed properly. Worst job than I imagined! I gave it two stars because Danny was super apologetic the first time and because he ended up fixing the problem.

Danny and all the mechanics working there were all so welcoming and so nice. I had a flat tire and he was able to accommodate me with no problem and no hesitation. He understood it was my only way of getting home and was able to get me in an out less than 20 mins. Honestly cannot describe how great they all were, any problems you may have they are more than willing to help you out. Best service hands down.

My car will not turn on after having it back a little over a month now !! HORRIBLE SERVICE !!!!!!! Need work on time management one and half week turned into 2 MONTHS and no one picks up the phone after a while they block your number . INSURANCE PAID FOR THE JOB AND THEY LIED about the amount and damages LIED ABOUT SO MANY THINGS BECAUSE IM FEMALE AND THOUGH I DIDNT KNOW ANY BETTER my uncles are mechanics so i know enough not to get played...dont go lie to the customer about THINGS JUST BECAUSE YOU ASSUME THEY DONT KNOW THE TERMINOLOGY ALL OF THEM ARE PROFESSIONALLY TRAINED LIARS !!

Everyone Ive interacted with at South Bay Auto Body has been very friendly and helpful. Customers are treated almost like family here, which is unheard of in the Auto industry. The techs do great work and are proud of what they do. Danny has a great understanding of what repairs will cost and works with you to get your car back on the road without paying an arm & a leg.The only issue I have is you need to stay on top of your repairs and check in at times; this shop is high volume and very busy. I still give them 5 stars because when you do touch base, they quickly get repairs back on track and actually treat you like a customer instead of an annoyance, like most body shops. The other day my tire was completely flat and this was the closest place I could find. Although they don’t fix flat tires, they were more than helpful and gracious. They fixed my tire right away and I was out of there in no time. Everyone was friendly and professional. They told me if I ever had any issues with my car to feel free to stop by. I had the best experience with Danny and his team. I live in the South Boston area and my car was side swiped while parked with no note left from the responsible party. As soon as I called Danny, he was incredibly compassionate towards the situation. I would like to first say that I rarely write reviews, but the customer service provided over at South Bay Auto was beyond phenomenal! A month ago my car was victimized of a sideswipe hit and run while I was at work. Luckily a very kind lady left me note claiming to see the whole incident. After insurance procedures, I originally went with Boston Body works because of their also positive reviews. However the experience felt very generic, and scripted. South Bay Auto truly was an unique experience. I was greeted by an awesome gentleman named Danny. He first shook my hand, gave laser focus on my situation, and provided me a very descriptive explanation (that was easy on the ears) on the repair procedure. When South Bay Auto was finished with the repairs, my car literally came out looking better than before my incident! Danny and his team went above and beyond what I expected for my repairs. The whole experience got me writing a novel on this review. Without thinking twice, this is definitely the first place I will go for any future repairs!

The service here was amazing! Came in with a bumper that needed to be re-attached, and they were able to fix it for FREE! I managed to put a good dent into my trunk/bumper and didnt go through insurance (nothing was wrong with the other vehicle and I have too many points on my insurance). Horrible experience very dishonest and disloyal place. Brought in a front bumper to be painted and placed on my vehicle and was told that I would have it painted and placed on my vehicle in two days. A week later and several calls I finally got an appointment to place my bumper to find out my bumper was never painted and was apparently cracked. Their best response was that they could find me a bumper for a good price and have it done that same day but it would cost me-of course. Wheres the honesty people -really?

Very happy with the service I received at South Bay Auto Body. My 97 Honda Civic got rear-ended and the trunk would not close. After receiving several estimates in the upper thousands, and not receiving coverage from my insurance company (the responsible party left the scene of the accident), I was almost ready to part with the car and had considered donating it. I had seen the South Bay shop on my way to work before, so one day I figured I would stop by and get one last estimate. To my delight, Danny said hed help me out, gave me some options and fixed it for a reasonable price! As a result, my reliable Civic continues to grace the roads of Boston, without a bungee cord to hold the trunk down. The work took a bit longer than initially estimated due to the 4th of July holiday, and the shop appears wicked busy all the time, but Danny gave me timely updates and was easy to reach on the phone. I recommend his shop.

I cannot stress enough how bad this place is. I took my car here to get “fixed” after a car accident, said it was going to be done after 2 weeks... 2 weeks go by, I called and no one answered it’s like they kept ignoring my calls. 3 weeks go by and they say “it’s still getting fixed” 2 months go by and I had just about had it with them, I saw the reviews on here and read that other people had the same issue with them, so I went to go get my car and turns out they weren’t going to fix it! After 2 months !!! They said my car was going to get totaled after 2 months having it there they tell me that. They said “we’re going to send the money back to the insurance that they gave us to fix it” and till this day they haven’t yet lol! Mind you this happened in June, and it is now October! I’ve been calling them and they still won’t answer. This place is legit trash definitely not a 4.5 star wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy.

Worst auto body shop i have ever gone to please do not go to this shop. Car wasnt done being fixed for a month and a half and the guy promised two weeks. I came out of pocket a lot more then i thought i would. Wouldnt recommend this shop to anyone to go there. terrible communication on the owners part. I absolutely have to say Danny and Francisco must have their friends writing most of these reviews. This place was horrible and slow on top of that. In fact, my car was abused while in their custody. I wouldnt take my dog here.

Do not bring your car here if its the last place in Boston. Because im female they expect me to not understand the nature of the business, they will talk circles around you and make excuses as to why your car is not ready on time, One week turned to three which then turned to four. The Geico adjuster came to check the car at which time non of the engine lights were showing, fast forward a week I pick up the car almost every light on my dash is on the car is making very weird noises whenever i brake this is all after the check was collected so i was told i had to pay out of pocket for further expenses that had nothing to do with the original issue. There are too many shop options in the area. No reason to return to a shop where customer service is not a focus and theres lack of attention to detail in their work.

I had first heard about them from a friend who did a complete makeover of his Merc there and it was impressive. So when my Mercs front bumper got damaged, I requested a quote. The price was reasonable and Danny promised to get the work done in much less time than the other shops. Did a great job with my front bumper. Also touched up on minor work even without my suggesting so.I was initially skeptical of doing any work besides the Merc dealership I go to. But I am blown away by their exceptional customer service!!! My car looks flawless now. :) I would definitely recommend and go back to this place in future if my car needs any work.

After I got into a car accident in January, I took my car here to get fixed based on the good reviews and close proximity to my apartment. At first everything seemed great, Danny returned my calls when I left voicemails and was always friendly. But then things started going a bit down hill. I stopped getting phone calls with updates and found myself having to consistently call and ask what the status of things were. In addition, originally I was given an estimate of getting my car back in about 2-3 weeks - I didnt end up getting back until the beginning of March, when it had been there for six weeks, almost seven. I recognize it takes time to order parts, other projects come that require more attention, etc. My biggest issue was that I was told my car would be ready on multiple occasions, and then when I showed up, I was turned away for one reason or another without my car. A few times the wrong rims were sent - fine, that happens, but then I started getting told that they were waiting to do the alignment. I finally had to insist that I pick-up my car because we were moving out of state. When I did, I was told everything was fixed and fine...The body work done to my car was great - very well done, no complaints there. However in the process of fixing the body of my car, it is clear the team tampered with/did not properly fix other parts of my car, which have now caused serious damage:1. Probably most importantly is that since getting my car back from this shop, whenever it rains heavily, the front seats become absolutely soaked - seats and the floor. Yesterday I got into my car after work, and the floors were soaking wet. The passenger seat floor had a puddle of water. Before taking my car to this body shop, I have NEVER had this problem. Im not sure if they didnt put weather stripping back on the door after they painted it or what, but it is a serious problem. The car now constantly smells and the people we brought it up are concerned that is has molded, meaning the carpet has to be entirely replaced.2. Probably equal important is that the alignment on my car - which was one of the reasons I had to wait to get my car - was never done. Whenever I go over 50 mph, the wheel on my car shakes uncontrollably.3. The most interesting thing I noticed after getting my car back from the shop was that the buttons for my electrical sunroof were no longer working/had been switched. The button I would normally push to open the sunroof doesnt work. The only way to get the sunroof to open is to press the same button you would push to get the sunroof to tip up. Hmmm... What is most baffling about this is that none of the work my car needed was electrical, it was all body work. So, why if the team only performed body work on my car, is an electrical thing all out of whack.To be clear, since getting my car back from South Bay Auto, I have not gotten into any other sort of car issues that would cause the issues I outlined above. Not even a flat tire so I cannot help but wonder what the team at South Bay Auto did/did not do my car. By the time I was begging to pick it up, it had been there for nearly 7 weeks. And when I did pick it up, I was told everything on the car was fixed.I dont know what happened here, but let me tell you, it aint good. I would never recommend this place to anyone based on what Ive been dealing with since I got my car back. Went to get my car fixed got my car back and they broke somthing else on it and didnt tell me about it when I found out about it they said another auto shop broke it, when their worker told me they did it by mistake .... Also if you pay attention hes a scanner makes his own recipes and over charges customers so pay attention!!!!
