Paid in advance for trailer hitch install and selected will wait on premises. Arrive to find theres no waiting room. Only employee on premises tells me to get lost and wait at the diner a mile up the road. Took 4 hours for a one hour job. Guy couldnt care less
They dont know how to install hitches, $300 down the drain, I drove 2 hours for them to not know how to put it on 5 hours later
Showed up on time to pick up the key. Did the online service to expedite and the only employee decides to go on an hour break when we show up. Garbage service, garbage employees

They have beautiful trucks very clean. Their big uhaul trucks are nice. Their staff is great. No major credit cards to rent truck or rental truck. Always have the vehicle your looking for and very quick. They get you in and out very fast
Being military, we came here to this office for our DIY move. We bought packing supplies first and later reserved a truck and auto transport which became available for the timeframe we needed.Each time I stopped by, every staff member I encountered were friendly, helpful, and communicated professionally. If I had a question, they helped with an answer.The manager and staff members were great from the start to the day we left. They were understanding and caring.We had a long trip ahead of us, traveling across the states of about 2,450 miles—the longest distance I’ve ever traveled by road.Both the truck and auto transport worked well with no issues. We arrived safely at our destination, happy with our experience and the expertise from all staff members who helped make this process go as smoothly as possible.Thank you all at U-Haul Barksdale!

My experience was very pleasant and easy going. General Manger at the counter greeted me, helped me get my truck in order, and got me taken care of. Will definitely be returning for my future truck needs
Have seen multiple bad reviews about this location but had to choose without any option as they are the one who has uHal I needed.Also I had to pay way extra as they have written mileage on the contract incorrectly (16 miles higher) and had to pay that amount. Every time I rent I take a picture of the mileage on the vehicle and luckily I was able to find this discrepancy.Please dont go to this location and chose some where.
After going through the process, the CSR started he did not feel comfortable with the rental. After I explained we have rented several times in the past with no problems, he pulled up my rental history. He then called his GM Richard Marshall and told him he now felt comfortable after looking through the history. After getting off the phone, the CSR handed me a card with Richard Marshalls number telling me to call and talk to him. I called, explained the situation, and my rental history. Richard then stated it was up to the CSR and was leaving it in his hands. No problem right? When I tell the CSR what was said, he calls Richard back who then told him not to rent us the vehicle. The fact that they did not want to rent the vehicle is not the problem. The problem is the 30 minutes wasted jumping through hoops and talking to different people. Yet, every person blaming the other. Very poor customer service, even worse management from Richard Marshall. This is not how you conduct business or treat a repeat customer or any customer for that matter.

My initial process of getting a Uhaul was fast and convenient. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. However, the problem occurred when I was charged $1,476.14 for services. I had to go through a 2-day process of getting my money back and I was still charged $135 which I never received. Prior to my card being charged, I received a call from an employee stating that they needed additional card information but I already had given them that; which was strange. As well, when I spoke to a Uhaul customer service representative several times, it seemed as if I was being a nuisance for being adamant about getting MY money back. Overall, I will not only never return to this location, I will never do business with Uhaul again.

3 great experiences with this store: one with a oneway large truck, one from a oneway smaller trailer, and one time filling propane -- management is friendly and helpful and pretty quick to get you what you need. i didnt have any weird fees, in fact he let me use the dolly for an extra two days with no charge because i had rented such a big truck and bought so many boxes. I wrote this review because I saw the store was getting bad reviews which really surprised me.

The guy at the counter is a moron.. why he still works there @ his age.. watch the mileage and keep track of it on your own because they will lie about the starting mileage and the end mileage.. and the urban fellow thinks hes the stuff too, but hes also a bad apple.. I think hes always stoned!!
Every time you call you haul for any or anything they are asking for your name and phone number they are selling your phone number to telemarketers
Nice folks but had to wait 45 minutes to buy a receiver hitch and ball. Need more labor.
