Have had my units for almost 7 years, I have 24 hour access, temperature is controlled. Im very happy with it except when people hog the elevator by holding it open on one of the floors. But thats not U-Haul s fault, and the staff is friendly and helpful.

DO NOT RENT ANY TRAILERS FROM THEM!!!! Trailers are not reliable. I rented a 6x12 trailer to take to Texas and relocate back to Illinois on Wednesday September 22, 2021. About 3 hours into my trip I had a blowout on one of the trailer tires. Thankfully I was able to pull over at a gas station to safety. The technician was supposed to arrive within 60 minutes and it took them closer to 90 minutes. While waiting on an roadside service, I noticed 2 other tires were EXTREMELY low on tread needed to be replaced. Once roadside showed up, they only replaced 2 tires. I continued my trip thinking everything would be ok. While traveling the trailer felt off balance and was very difficult to drive. I had my 9 yr old daughter on the road with me and she and I were terrified. A normal 14 hour drive ended up taking us about 20 hours, having to constantly check the tires to ensure our safety. Once making it to Texas, we got some rest and called corporate 1st thing the next morning. In speaking with corporate, they were NOT Sympathetic or empathetic to our experience and offered little to NO help!!!! My problem is, I do not feel safe operating this equipment, let along relying on this equipment to get my items and daughter along with myself back to Illinois safely. I tried checking to see if I could drop this trailer off at a different location and make other arrangements to relocate. Corporate stated I needed to bring the trailer back to the original pickup location, otherwise I would be charged over $2000. They only offered to compensate me $200, they were not concerned about the trauma we experienced or our safety level. My biggest fear is another tire blowing out and it being a fatal situation. PLEASE take my advice and rent from a different company if looking to rent a trailer. Now I’m stuck in Texas with my 9yr old daughter trying to relocate back to Illinois.

Juanita is absolutely amazing, there was a customer before me who was not the nicest, and instead of carrying a angered or mean expression towards me (which is only natural) instead she greeted me with a smile. And I appreciated her spectacular customer service and time. Everytime my family and I come to this location Juanita and Jim are the best and only provide top notch service. I would recommend this location with these two anytime. Thanks again.

Rented a U-Haul trailer that I was supposed to pickup here. Trailer wasnt here, was told I had to go to Chicago to get. Staff was rude and very disagreeable. Would not recommend doing business here.

Im feeling cool with what they did my daughter owns a hot dog stand its called go doggy run and we needed a trailer cuz we got double back to back events to do so they got us the right equipment the trailer and the truck so my daughter can do what you got to do thank you

Their customer service is abhorrent. They gave us the wrong truck and it broke down halfway to our destination to a new state. Their customer service line has 30+ minute wait and I still havent been able to discuss this with anyone.

Cool cheap it great but they give no discount or nothing and Im older person! I give them my business for over 5 yrs and no break! O well its sucks give discounts to older ppl.

Horrible experience.... given the wrong truck for a one way rental to Indiana and was called an hour in to loading the truck and told that it was not the right truck. Paid for loaders and did not feel like we should have to pay extra to have them unload and reload a new truck. We made the decision to keep the current truck and were told good luck with that, it probably wont make it, by the u-haul representative. The truck broke down 30mins from our destination and we were standred for about three hours before they came and replaced the alternator. Horrible experience. Horrible customer service at the Bolingbrook location. Would never rent from there again!

Made an appointment (in person) for a hitch install at another uhaul location. I drive an hour to this Bolingbrook location to get the hitch installed and they say that my appointment is for a month from now. Yes, indeed it did say that on the paper. I inform the guy that I just made this appointment at another uhaul location and it’s for today (the worker at the other location set it up for me and confirmed it.) Needless to say I was extremely upset after driving an hour out of my way to get to the appointment only to be turned away without answers. No help whatsoever at this location. They were rude, short and offered no solutions to rectify the situation. Definitely wasn’t my fault that the date of the appointment was set up wrong.

Dirty truck and in poor shape mechanically. Additionally, check your mileage to the digit. They play games with mileage. Moving blankets provided where dirty and frozen together. Customer service representative rude. You work at a U-haul dude. I will not rent anything from this location again.

Good service where you can rent all kind of trucks for your moving in couple of minutes

The staff was great, but Uhaul company is always a fun company to deal with from losing reservations or reserved vehicles not there. The best is when they sent me to a secured airfield in the middle of nowhere to return a vehicle in the middle of the night, and their directions had me to cross a runway.This time was the same with reps having to call me to confirm that the trailer was not available, but I could drive 30 miles into the city to get it. And a text to call and verify the reservation I just made with a hold time of 20 mins then to be transferred .

Online payment socks called it in for returning vehicles doesnt work on my cellphone! 😬🤥😡

I’ve never had an issue with their service. I’ve been there a few times and the staff is really laidback and polite even had a few jokes with some of them while being check in. Friendly atmosphere

We rented just to move a refrigerator and they charged us double what was agreed because it was dirty. I did not know that a refrigerator left garbage.

Generally a great experience. I always go to this location and Im in and out with what I need. The last visit I attempted the after hours because I needed it quickly but while it directed you to scan the location barcode it didnt say where it was. By the time I found it, it was too late. Ill know next time though. In any case Ill keep coming to this one.

They had the parts we needed but we made an appointment to have a brake controller installed. Turns out they dont install them at the location where our appoinment was made. Long wait times on hold when calling too but maybe this is at all the locations?

UHUAL is the worst company. We had to call twice to confirm and then they didnt have thr truck for us. Horrible guest service. Never us them. They added more stress then needed. Rediculous!!!

Showed up at 10 minutes before closing to return a trailer they had the doors locked and were hiding inside behind counter i knocked on the window they just looked and smiled once closing time came they came outside thru the rear door and when i asked them for help they said sorry we are clocked out got in their car and left will not do business with this uhaul ever again if uhaul hires these kind of people then they are no good 0 stars if i could!

Got to U-Haul in Bolingbrook after reserving a1-2 bdrm storage unit for up to 1200 sq. ft. online got there and unit was so small a queen sized bed would not even fit. When I informed the worker that it said it would fit 1200 Sq. Ft he told me there was no way. he hen went online and saw for himself what it said and told me I needed to speak with a manager. after contacting the manager I was told there was nothing he could do and that I was stuck with the bigger unit and the rent that went along with it! I was then told the day I moved in (Sept) that I would not have to pay until my due date in Nov. and received a late fee for Oct rent. this place is GARBAGE and their customer service SUCKS!!!!!

I rent alot of car haulers

Returned the 14 truck here after a looong experience waiting to pick up the rental at the Chicago location (line 6 deep, 1 person working). There was a line of 4 trucks in the return section, I was instantly greeted by a gentleman who went over the truck with me, checked me out, and was very attentive that everything went well. From a truck rental perspective, this place has their act together. Good job.

My wife and I had a recently installed hitch partially shear off while towing a trailer on our way to California. Thankfully, nobody got hurt. After many hours of dealing with roadside assistance (covered by U-Haul) we arrived at this location and the employees were beyond helpful. They provided a U-box at our convenience and made accomodations for our pets while we transferred our things from the trailer to the U-box. Besides the inconvenience and the mishap, I have no complaints about the way U-haul handles there customers. Thank you for your help.

Its funny and yet strange how my belongings never have a storage stench here. The gent is very well mannered and extremely resourceful.

Trailer I rented for a 1000+ mile move was incredibly squeaky and I didnt realize the trailer brakes failed until I had to emergency stop near my destination

Highly recommend, the GM (John Cappelletti) and his team are fair and honest. I had a faulty wiring harness thats been giving me issues after a few months. The GM installed and worked on it himself till the solution was discovered.

This experience was a joke. The staff was nice enough, but when we asked to go check out a van to make sure we could fit our belongings in it, they rented it out by the time we could come back in. They offered it to us and then just gave it away without waiting even a minute. Ridiculous and incompetent. Very, VERY unhappy. Not to mention all the other issues we had.

I come here often to rent trailers. The staff has always been friendly, helpful and provided fast service. Never had any issues here.

I had them install a hitch on my 2011 Honda Insight and the appointment was convenient and the install was done right.

Worst company (in general)to deal with if you are planning a move. Not particularly the Bolingbrook location. Very un-customer friendly. Never can confirm your reservations until 24 hrs prior to your stressful move, then they try to send you (the customer) chasing your reserved equipment to different locations. They even hooked a car hauler up to their own truck for me only for it to come off of the hitch within 7 mins and about 3 miles. If you are looking for stress free and affordable NOT w/ UHaul.

I reserved a van. When I went to pick it up they claimed to have just updated their systems and they again needed my information. I provided the information several times more, showed them my reservation and account. At the emd I was left without a van, no option for a truck and no help for the day since plans were obviously based off of my reservation. Horrible service.

The worst customer service ever.... I will never deal with this store again, let alone U-Haul. They SUCK. I started off dealing with what you call the store manager, and what a joke he was (Todd). He wouldnt take the time to set up a reservation that was cancelled by one of their other incompetent workers.Their way of handling situations is quickly transfer you off to coporate. I was bounced around five times, before I decided to go to Penske.

A place for trailers for travelers to other regions. For the price, in my opinion, it is very excellent, but it lacks insurance. It has everything you need from furniture packaging tools and boxes to save things
