Used him several times over the last few years. This years tile installation was not up to his standards.Waited and waited for him to fix the problems but kept getting stories that he cant reach the installer. I didnt hire or pay the installers but paid Steve, so why should I suffer.Till today, close to 5 months still not corrected.
I am a General Contractor and I have been using this shop and its installers for almost 15 years now. The owner, Steve, always has an up to date selection in his showroom with all the latest styles. He is incredibly honest and straight forward. He always stands by his work and has several crews of experienced installers. You can trust Steve to find you a beautiful tile for a better price than any big corporate store. When I need carpet or tile, for a project or my own house, I always go to AB Tile first.
PEOPLE OF EARTH HEAD MY WARNING!!This company did such a bad job re-doing my master bathroom. The installer mixed scratchy grout and left piles of it in the kitchen sink, he also mixed thinset right outside the front door and left behind a hughe block of dried thinset that was like a block of concrete, the entire house was covered in dust and he completely screwed up the grout in every corners of the shower, he also drilled into a water line putting up the durorock..This installer got paid and disappeared. The owner Steven came to the house to fix all the missing grout with a small Dixie cup a Popsicle stick and used his finger to apply grout in all the cracked corners. He did such a bad job I had to ask him to leave and I had to pay someone else to fix the grout. The shower floor is so poorly pitched it dosent drain properly it also has divots that hold water that have to evaporate. The built in soap box is also pitched backwards.Although he ordered materials to fix it I asked him to please cover the floor because we just spent over $850.00 to professionally restore the tile and paint the grout lines.I also asked him to cover 1 door with plastic to prevent the dust and dirt from getting every where during the repair. He insisted this was not necessary and said he would fix or clean anything if they did damage.I told him we dont want you to fix or clean anything we want you to prevent any mishaps. He flew into a rage for weeks because I asked for these 2 things. Finally he said he would cover the door with plastic so I said I will cover the floor just to get this over with. The day he sent his guy I covered the floor but his installer did not put up any plastic.I asked him what about the plastic and he started yelling at me so much so I told him to leave.Later that day the owner Steve texted me he will not take my abuse anymore and he would drop the materials on the back patio. That was months ago. He never brought anything. We are stuck with a shower that dosent drain and a built in soap box pitched backwards. We are disputing the charge with the credit card co.
Rude!
