I was happy with the buy-out I received but if I would have shopped the store first- I would have went somewhere else with my items or did an online option with another company. Staff was rude and zombie like. They didnt smile they didnt acknowledge me, they didnt make anyone feel welcome. They said nothing- even at the buyout- I was handed a check and no invoice of what they purchased. I saw nice items as I looked over the store but the lack of customer service, energy and general support of coworkers - just a toxic environment and will not return to sell/buy/browse or recommend.Store was clean.

I know people are shorthanded but they really need to do things differently. I was told first that my clothes would be done at one. I probably would’ve drove home which is like 20 minutes away if I would’ve known it was going to take an hour longer than what they said. But at this point it’s not worth it. I was standing there waiting and my clothes kept being put off. the lady that was doing my clothes kept doing other things and that’s why It was taking so long. Also a lot of talking going on. And I don’t agree with them putting other people ahead if they bring in large items. the one girl was working on one large item for a really long time because she didn’t know the right information on it. Those people should have had to wait like everyone else. The Time they give me is always way off. Seems very chaotic here. But I gave a 3 because I kind of feel bad for them. Just need to do things differently and focus on the one that you’re on so you can get it done at the right time. Obviously you have to wait on other customers but there was a lot of random things she was doing when she should’ve just been finishing my clothes.

Here a couple times a month. Always clean and well organized! If you save up your points you can get some really great deals!

Very disappointed. It took three hours for a clerk to price one tote of clothes. The clerk kept saying it would take an hour, so I came and went multiple times. Ultimately, they purchased few of my items, saying they only buy recent fashion of certain brands. Most of the clothes were purchased at Macys or Justice within the last two years. It was a waste of my time and Ill never go there again. Id rather donate the clothes.

First time visiting this store and selling items. Very pleased with service and cleanliness. 4 star only because there was not many items other than clothing for sale (toys, equipment, etc.)

The evening workers were super helpful! :) When I first got in, I was welcomed and asked if I needed any help. One of the employees (she wore glasses) assisted me in finding some sleepers for my daughter. After a little while, I bought a boxed toddler bedroom set and when they saw I was by myself, two employees were super helpful carrying the set out to my car and loading it for me!

Three people working behind the counter. After standing for several minutes withoutbeing addressed, I set my $30 worth of items on the counter to be told to move to another register. Waited an dditional 5 minutes as the employees walked around behind the counter. Left my items and walked out.

I went in to the store today to get some stuff for my little cousin and the morning shift crew was excellent. I was super lost with what to get and they helped me so much.

I like looking around but rarely find anything worth getting. They leave clearance stickers on clothes they got from someone else and charge more than it says it was. Most items are over prices. I found some cute shoes but thankfully I noticed the gross candy stuck inside before I bought them. I would rather drive to niles from boardman to go to that store instead of this one. Way bigger selection, nicer employees and way better prices. Only thing I like here is they do buy one get 1 free books and they have good sales once in a while.

Went in there today with a small bag of some long sleeve dress shirts in size 12 months. They were never worn, really nice condition. The woman that took care of me wasnt friendly and borderline rude. Told me it was going to be about a 20 minute wait. Fine. No problem. I looked around a little bit.. that place was filthy and super disorganized. Clothes had stains on them and it looked more like a Goodwill.. they ended up not taking ANY of my items because they had too much stuff in the sizes that I brought. The woman just kind of threw my bag at me and walked away. Ive never had service like that at the Niles location. So i guess Ill be going to the Niles location from here on out. Looks like the Boardman store needs some training in customer service and cleanliness from Niles.

Staff is extremely rude they seem like they dont like there jobs. They make comments like you cant here them. I only brought a few things here they bought them but just so rude.

I took a basket full of clean clothing and in very good condition and they only bought 3 or 4 items. One pair of little boys pants I had just bought there but they didn’t fit my son so they were literally brand new just minus the tags. They didn’t take a pair of 7 boys jeans that were still in very good condition. I had a couple of beautiful “Little Princess” dresses also from JC Penney’s that they didn’t take. I don’t plan on wasting my time taking items to that location again and I most likely won’t shop there either. They mumbled something about not needing the sizes I brought in??

Now this may not bother everyone but it greatly upset me. On their social media page they advertised their preemie clothes selection as baby doll clothes. As a mother of a preemie I found this hurtful. There are two NICUs very local to this store and it would have been just as beneficial to them to advertise their preemie selection just as itself. Not to mention the poor attitude of their staff. They are very selective of the items they purchase, as they should be, but the quality of a lot of the items they have for sale do not reflect that. I wont be going back there again. I would much rather drive to the Niles location where they have much more professional staff members and a better selection of items.

Awesome experience! Workers looked like they love their job and love their costumers. I was shocked by the very low prices and great selection. I would recomend this to people that don’t want to drop money on brand new clothing items when here they are almost half of the price if not less.

The staff at this location are very professional and helpful. They go above and beyond for their customers. Very organized and clean store. I would recommend this location to anyone.

Stop in to see if they would like to my new with tag clothes my kids never worn. They were put in a sealing bag then put in a tote and was in my basement for about four months. They said they would buy but I have to take them home and wash them first they smelled odd. Really I have had over 6 people smell them and everyone said I have no idea what they are talking about. At first I though it was because of my ferrets then realized they where opened up in one of those air sealing bags, I went through them and they sat on my counter for three days. The ferrets were never near them. The only other thing I could think of is they smelled of thanksgiving dinner. What nice people they are. And I am a very clean person.

I brought 3 boxes of clothes and toys most of which still had tags and they took none of it!!!! Said it was out dated and stained and the toys brand new in the box were broken!! I was confused when they told me this so I asked the woman if they even looked at my stuff because most of it has tags she told me they were out dated. This really upset me seeing how they had stuff on the racks that looked fresh from the 80s and my stuff was just simply bought for my daughter as gifts just to small or to big and i had no receipt to exchange them. NEVER GO TO THEM!!!!

I love once upon a child! They have great clean clothes, many that are name brand. Having 5 kids I shop here often, get great deals and never disappointed with selection.

I love their clothes for my kids. You can get high end clothing for half the price. The clothing is gently used and with no stains or holes, etc. I bought my daughter clothes there for her birthday and they were Justice clothing and she had no idea that they were not brand new. So go there for your Christmas Shopping. They also have toys and books and and coats and winter accessories as well. I see a lot of people unhappy about selling clothes to the store and my daughter had the same experience when we bought the same clothes from the same store and she never wore them and she took them back months later and they wouldnt even take half of them and they came from their own store. So, I would buy clothes there and be happy but just not sell them to that store. One lady said she took hers to Niles store and got a lot of money, so Im going to tell that to my daughter. Great store to buy from but not to sell tolAmy W.

I love this store! Theres a great selection & the clothing is in really good condition. You can afford to clothe your kids & have them look really nice.

I stopped in with 2 laundry baskets of clothes and was told that they wont take them in those anymore. They will only take them in plastic bins so I had to go and buy bins and drive up there a second time to be told they are going to pass because everything is damp. I also saw people dropping off in laundry baskets, boxes and bags but I wasnt allowed the night before. Will never ever skip the againNot damp at all. Total waste of time

All Staff present were incredibly rude and had terrible customer service. Definitely won’t be a returning customer.

UPDATE: watch selling your kids clothes here because they fail to tell you that if your clothes arent looked at the day you bring them then they just get donated to some imaginary place. Id like to give it more stars but employees dont seem to know to explain things like this with customers.Its a used kids clothing store so its exactly what youd imagine: as many clothes, shoes and toys crammed into a decent sized space. If you have some time to look then youll score some alright shoes and clothes.

Second hand kids clothes, toys and accessories... Good selection... Sometimes crowded... Fair prices... Inventory is always changing...

Im never disappointed when I go to OUAC, ALWAYS, find what I need Ive been going there for years, and will continue to for my 6 yr old. Great place to find major deals and discounts!

I took my sons clothes here and had to buy plastic bins because they won’t take anything else. They failed to tell me literally EVERYTHING gets donated if not picked up that day. So the new bin I bought was donated and no phone call or any courtesy. I was told they can’t say over the phone if they even took anything. I would go up there, but the weather turned awful.

I have nothing but the best to say about Once Upon A Child childrens store in Boardman. I have always been able to find what I am looking for at the best prices. Went and brought three bags of clothes, they went through all the bags in a timely manner and took a good amount. I just wish they had a consistent list of what they would take and what they wouldnt...it seems as though the employees arent always on the same page.

Took bags and bags of clothing up there to sell. We were told to go home, wash all of the clothing and bring it back, and then they would buy the clothing because they said it smelled musty. They went through all of the clothing. We washed and folded all of this clothing and took the clothing back 3 days later. We were then told they only were buying a couple of the clothing pieces. What a waste of our water, detergent, ekectric, gas, and time! I would recommend this place to anyone!

Rude staff!!! I was completely appalled by the way they acted while looking through clothes. The comments the staff made..horrible horrible customer service.

Was told my just washed, some never worn, items smelled gross so they didnt even look through them. I saw other people have had the same experience but I thought I would give it a try. Waste of time and very embarrassing to get told that you are a dirty person by a complete stranger.

I drive to niles this location wanted to give me $21 for boutique clothes.told me they were stained.... Which not true... Went to niles gave me 120 for everything .... Do we are the problem. Plus Boardman Is a mess unorganized. Niles is nice clean and ladies much more friendly.

I enjoy shopping here, however they do not pay very well when selling them items.

Very convenient store to shop at and sell those things that your baby has out grown or didnt use.

I am so offended after tonight. I was told my things smelled like storage and there was mold on my exersaucer. Um it was never anywhere where it could get moldy and I Clorox wiped it a few days ago. Glad i wasted 10 minutes putting all together just to take all apart again at the store. They didnt even go through the boxes of clothes which were all washed and organized by outfits, and were still exactly as I had put them in the boxes to take them there. They said the clothes smelled like storage? We live in a smoke free home and wash all the kids clothes with dreft. Our washing machine is upstairs and not even the basement. The clothes were never in storage or a basement or even in an attic. They wanted to give me $5 for a basucally brand new bumbo with tray. And $10 for a like brand new rock n play. Absolutely insulted. Even through we find good deals here idk if I will ever go back. Glad i wasted an hr of my night for nothing and left feeling insulted.

So unprofessional. Two days before Christmas I came to sell some toys to make room and donate them if they didnt want to buy them. As I walked in they were hanging a sign on the door saying they werent buying until 3pm due to their Christmas party. So inconvenient and unprofessional. I will NEVER go back.

Have good prices when your purchasing items and has some almost new looking items.

We went in there to sell some children cloths, most of which are from Justice. And they told me that they couldnt take them because they only sell stuff that they think will sell immediately. They had Justice stuff on their racks for crying out loud! I honestly think it was because I can in there with my mom who is on a wheelchair. Talk about a picky store!
