I highly recommend! This is family owned establishment full of knowledgeable, kind and honest humans they go above and beyond for their customers. As a transient attempting to drive cross country with my whole life in my 1999 Toyota 4Runner, my car broke down 30 miles into Arizona and the closest town I could get towed to was Blythe. I was treated like part of the family, they alleviated my stressful situation, found solutions and fast! Previous mechanics misdiagnosed my vehicle leaving my car in terrible shape. Villanueva correctly diagnosed it to be a bad mass air flow censor fixed this and then continued to fix all of the shotty work left by the previous mechanic. I could not be more thankful for the efficient team work, compassion and integrity shown. First time at a mechanic where I didn’t feel like I was being taken advantage of. Fast and fair. A transfer and transmission was installed by the mechanic. We provided the transmission and the transmission fluids. We notice he had not put all the transmission fluids that the transmission needed. We had to take the transmission to him from Los Angeles. I would of appreciated if he would of done a better job.

My sons Honda accord broke down near Blythe CA, which is in the middle of nowhere, the Wednesday before Thanksgiving at 6:30 pm. Luckily Villanueva was still open. They even worked on Thanksgiving and got his car fixed. They recommended some more work but said he didnt have to do it right away and could wait until he got home. . Since the car was there, we decided to have them go ahead and fix it. They came in under their bid and the car was ready to go when my son came back on Sunday. They were very professional and accommodating and my sons car is running great.

The Rodeway Inn owners recommended Juan. After the dealership in town had the car, it looked not like it was not going to be worth fixing. Juan and his son (Jose) the initiative to go over and pick up (row) our car (we live in LA) to his shop and then give us a super reasonable estimate. It took he and his son only a couple of days to replace our engine for exactly what they promised. So far, so good. I just drove the car home with no problems. Outstanding! If everything stays great, I told my wife we should take our other cars there if we need a major repair (as long as we can get it the 250 miles to the shop). Thanks so much!

My transmission blew about 2 miles outside of CA, I had my Nissan towed to Juan here at Villanuevas. Juan was HEAVEN SENT. He got me water, sat me in the ac and began taking a look at the car. He let me stay while I contacted the mechanic who rebuilt my transmission and made accommodations for the evening. Juan’s son & other young coworker offered a ride and all sorts of help in the meantime! They helped me get in contact with a local shuttle named Faithful Shuttle by Terri who got me to the next major city for only $65! 10/10 recommend Villanuevas, Terri’s and everyone I came across here.

We were broken down in the desert about 20 miles away without brakes. Called this place to see if they could get a new caliper for us. Juan and his son called around and found one. We got a tow and headed over. Juan had us out of there in no time. If we lived closer we would use them for all of our vehicle needs. Great service, very knowledgeable, and all around nice people.

Jose was great! My van developed a grinding noise on my way to dog shows near Phoenix. After the shows, I stopped at the rest area near Blythe on my way home to research prices for alternators and check out mechanics. Villanueva Auto Repairs not only had good reviews but they were also recent. He replaced my alternator and a bearing in just a few hours. He advised me to purchase the alternator myself and save a little $$$. (The lady at Autozone gave me a 10% discount, praised Jose, & then brought the replacement bearing ASAP. )Yes, it sucked to have to do a repair with a van full of dogs but it couldnt have gone better all things considered.

5 stars doesn’t feel like enough. Juan, Jose, and the rest of the team worked with me for 3 solid weeks to get my camper van going after a my head gasket blew one night. Every step of the way, from sourcing imported parts to installing them, repairing the cylinder head and test driving, they were fantastic and honest. The entire time they let me sleep in the van on their property, use their facilities, and generally treated me with respect and hospitality. I couldn’t ask for a better outcome to what began as a very stressful situation, crash-landing in an unknown town in the desert like that. If Villanueva’s wasn’t here, things might have turned out very differently for me! Thank all of you guys so much.

GO HERE! Everyone in the town of Blythe I talked to recommended Villanueva Auto Repair. It was the same at the auto parts stores. For all travelers the worst thing that can happen to us is a breakdown, a grinding sound, or the vehicle just doesnt move. We all ask ourselves the same question... Where should we go? Who can we trust?..Driving from Brawley to Ehrenberg, Arizona the rear end of my van started making a grinding sound... When I got to Interstate 10, I stopped and checked and oil was pouring out from my driver side rear wheel... I realized it was bearings, wheel seal and possibly more... My heart sank! Luckily Ive been coming to the Blythe area for the past 6 years for winter travels. Over time talking to the locals in Blythe, California I followed their advice and went to Villanueva Auto Repair... Immediately I realized that I was in safe hands. The mechanic quickly diagnosed my problem. And one of the parts had to be ordered overnight. Fair, honest and understanding this is a family-run business and the best in the area. They do every kind of repair on every kind of vehicle. They work tirelessly day and night doing repairs and sending travelers on their way, as well as taking care of local customers. I was treated with kindness and courtesy and when the repair was done, paid my bill which was fair and honest. Much less than I expected. I was so happy. This is the only repair shop in Blythe that you can trust totally. Its where the locals go. My suggestion would be that if you have any problems with your vehicle while traveling and are in the Blythe area this is The Place to Go........... This is the first time in my entire life that getting my vehicle repaired was an enjoyable experience.. The work done was flawless and absolute perfection. They are genius mechanics!.. I am now traveling with peace-of- mind to my next destination... Grateful, happy, it was a wonderful experience...

Got stranded with what turned out to be a brake caliper that lost a bolt just north of Quartzite, on our way yo Florence. The tow truck dropped me off around 3 on a Friday, and I was back on the road by 5. The place isnt much to look at, but they are professionals. Jose is the best, and he didnt try to charge us stranded out of towner rates. This place is excellent!

Could not be more thankful for these guys.I lost my brakes going down the highway today and found this shop on Google. Managed to get into town and were told they were backed up until Friday, but he squeezed us in real quick so we could get back on the road. He quickly discovered the problem, ordered the parts we needed and got us back on the road in about an hour. Great customer service, very reasonable prices, and a job well done.

My boyfriend and I broke down in Quartzite, AZ, and had our car towed to Jose’s shop in Blythe. It was 30 minutes before they closed, but he was more than happy to help us out. He quickly found the problem and informed us that it would take until the following day to get the part they needed. He patiently waited as we called around for hotels and actually drove us himself to where we needed to go. He kept in contact the entire time with updates. What could have taken him an extra day to finish, he and his father did in one day. Once the car was all ready to go, he came back for us again. The car now works better than before all because of Jose and his generosity. We couldn’t thank him enough. Give them a call with any car problems.

I was told there was only one in the town of Blythe and I found him.I pulled in and they got right on ordering the part and keeping me posted.My alternator died in the middle of town and jaun came right out and jumped started My car. He gave me a ride back to my motel and even came and picked up my keys I accidentally forgot to leave w car.Jaun accomodated my check out time w my motel and picked me up at check out time. He is a great guy! Honest, fair, and reliable.Quality work, exceptional customer service, and meticulous attention to detail. When our 1986 Motorhome broke down on the 10, we didnt know what to do. Everywhere we called said they cant help us. They either dont deal with transmissions, motorhomes, or with vehicles of that age.I finally happened upon Villanueva Auto Repair Shop. They greeted me kindly and professionally over the phone. Juan walked me through what to do to get our rig to the shop without having to pay for a tow. What a relief!When we arrived, Juan, Chepe, and Calvin went way ABOVE AND BEYOND to ensure we were well cared for. They made sure that we understood the diagnosis and explained their recommendation at length. Our transmission had blown and required replacement.Ultimately, they went out of their way to locate a replacement transmission. This is an incredible task considering the rarity and age of our 86 Toyota Sunrader. They completed the replacement as fast as possible. They also made sure to investigate diligently to ensure we would be safe once we hit the road for the long haul.They found a groove in the pinion yolk that connects the drive shaft to the back of the transmission. Again, they went out of their way, traveled a great distance, and found a salvaged part in good shape. They installed it promptly and we were on the road again after a few test drives to check their work. If they hadnt been so diligent our transmission may have blown again!Calvin was happy to provide us with shuttle service around town for necessities. He even drove a broken down couple hundreds of miles away to Los Angeles so they didnt have to take the bus! This level of customer service is unheard of to me, but apparently it is the norm for the good folks at Villanueva.All in all, I cannot recommend Villanueva Auto Repair Shop highly enough. They can handle every task, big or small. At every turn, they answered the call of duty and got the job done. If you are looking for honest, kind, and dependable service then you are lucky you found them. Look no further, youre in the right place!
