Good mechanical work if you can wait a month for a part or scheduling.
The food is good the servers are nice the prices are real good for their quantity of food.Great little country restaurant
Two of the smartest and most capable mechanics in town. Ive been a customer for close to twenty years.
Hamp is a straight shooter and friendly. Great place!
I want to personally thank this shop for taking care of us while we were traveling thru . We had our guys stuck in Town with a derate issue . We called several places including a dealer and nobody would help us . We stopped in a Meads and they had us up and running in no time flat. I can’t express enough gratitude we have to find so kind and helpful people out their! Thanks again for all your help and keeping my team safe! - Sean Hewitt Hylan West Fleet Manager.
Always delivers great service and reasonable prices
Fast and friendly service. They were able to get me in and get me done back on the road. Didnt charge me for the extra work they had to do to get me going. Highly recommended. Very trustworthy
Fixed our problem quickly.
They said they rebuilt the carburetor on my rv and apparently the carburetor hasnt been touched in years according to the shop I had to send it to to actually diagnose and fix it right. Its crazy. $350 and actually did more harm than good. Tried to take it back and he wasnt interested in the slightest. Buyer beware.
The only auto repair shop you should go to in Blythe. Honest, genuine people with honest and genuine prices. Helped me with my headlights on short notice. Bring Pepsi! Im going to drop off some twelve packs as a thank you to these amazing people. If you want honest auto repair with no price gouging, look no further. Beyond happy customer here!
First off, I would like to say thank you to the wonderful people who work here. I by no means had a time pressing issue with my vehicle like some of the others who have made reviews, but these individuals took it upon themselves to take care of my vehicle and perform work the right way. I have a C5 corvette that needed a complete transmission overhaul as the original transmission had died after 88,000 miles of abuse. Needless to say, finding someone in town to work on my baby was quite difficult as no one wanted to touch it (rear mounted transmission with torque tube). Chevy would not perform work because they wouldnt install a 3rd party transmission, they wanted to sell me one and then install it. Well, these fine people happily took my vehicle, and performed great work. They even replaced some other components for my clutch after seeing that my fluid wasnt looking that great. Overall, I am more than happy with these fine, honest people, and will gladly drop my car off again if I have any issues with it. The cost was straightforward, with labor being charged at an honest rate, and components being ordered straight from the Chevy Dealer, although I produced the new transmission, clutch, and flywheel. Thank you guys for helping me out, and getting this car running again. Hats off to you folks.CPT Gustavo D MadrigalBlythe Resident Born and RaisedUS Army Engineer

Emergency stop at Meade Automotve. Awesome group of mechanics with hands-on knowledge. It was a pleasure to have met this business. It is worth the drive from Prescott to have them work on your vehicle! Highly recommended.
Honest reliable competent. Good people
These great folks were friendly, fair, and efficient in a car emergency on my cross-country road trip. 1500 miles in, my VWs engine went pop, and I went to the most responsive auto-shop in Blythe. Im so happy I found Meads! The last 3000 miles were smooth sailing. If you want responsible, professional technicians rather than sales-people, go here!
Wintering in Brenda AZ,had check engine lite on that would not go off. Went on line and read reviews on Meads web site, and liked what I read. The repair was completed at the appointed time and in an extremely, friendly family atmosphere, complete and on time,at a favorable price. Will recommend Mead Automotive to all my friends and family who need auto or RV work.THANKS Mead Automotive Family!
Thrilled that Hamp was able to fit me in for an emergency repair. They made.it safer than before the problem. I am so grateful for their expertise and fast and effective repairs.
Thank you Hamp!!! You were a lifesaver for us. Took us in on a busy day because we were desperate. Without making me whine for help. I called at 4:40pm when they close at 5 and needed service next day for long trip home to Canada in time for specialist appointment. Bearings on pick up went. He did the work when no none else would. Everyone was booked up with RVers all going home. And a very fair price. Forever grateful. Btw. After six days of driving we made it home. Truck ran beautifully.
Very helpful couple. Very nice
Mead Automotive? I cant say enough about their exceptional service and caring attitude toward their customers. I received a call from my sister and 89 year old aunt traveling from AZ back home to CA. My sisters car broke down in Quartzsite...were there mechanics there? NO. I went online from my home to find an auto repair shop and came upon Mead, which has received many high marks in their reviews.I now understand why. I had the car towed from Quartzsite AZ to Blythe CA (a twenty minute ride, well worth the tow). The car was dropped at Mead in the evening after closing and by late morning the next day we knew what what the problem was and the work required. By early afternoon, the car was repaired at a GREAT PRICE.Fantastic workmanship, fantastic customer service, very happy customers. What more can I say? THANK YOU MEAD AUTOMOTIVE for taking such good care of my family!
Friendly and helpful
Very reputable placer, and my first choice there in Blythe. My daughter had a problem with the handling of her car when driving to LA from Phoenix, and while they were too busy to take her in so late in the afternoon, they referred me to another local business which discovered the problem, a tire that was coming apart. Mead Automotive was then kind enough to refer me to the best tire place in town. So, I did and would trust this place for sure.
I was going across country with my wife and broke down in Blythe, CA. where I had to find an auto repair shop. I went to one shop and they sent me to Mead Automotive. I thought it was strange for a shop to turn me away and recommend them. However the staff of Mead Automotive made me glad that I found them with their understanding of auto repair. They got me going in the right direction! So if you are needing auto repair in Blythe Ca. look for them!
Great work ethic, very honest people!!
Hamp figured out a nasty problem in hooking up a towing pigtail and did it with absolute confidence. Lorie made us feel comfortable in the heat and when I drove back to Los Angeles and realized that I had left my wallet in Blythe they sent it to me via overnight mail.
Great guys with every tool and part imaginable . Can handle drop-ins no problem. RV savy. Wish they were up by us.
Got me in and fixed the issue the last place said they fixed. Lots of knowledge of RVs and willing to do more than just replace parts
I have been a customer of mead automotive for three years now. I have a 36 foot RV. They have done basic oil and lube job to ready me for summer trips of over 7M mile with now problems. They have done brake job, transmission service and even fixed a leaking water storage tank that saved us from buying a different RV. Very professional people.
My experience with Hamp and Lorie is as a fellow automotive service shop owner. We had a customer that was having issues with his vehicle while going through Blythe and they responded quickly with kindness and a desire to help. You dont see enough of that kind of heart in the world today and their business is a reflection of that. I am honored to be able to reach out and let those that are looking for an honest competent repair facility to look no further.Tony SchottenbauerOwner Christian Brothers - OcotilloChandler, AZ
Called to schedule an appointment due to the very high ratings here in Google. Made an appointment for the following week that I called to get a brake system installed in my tow vehicle. I gave the mechanic all information on the phone: name of the brake system and exactly what is was. He quoted me 2-3 hours to get it all done. I drove an hour the very next day to come say Hi as he as he also wanted to see the car and equipment. Once I arrive he takes one look at the brake system and now suddenly tells me at least 6 hours to install it. DOUBLE THE MONEY QUOTED! Suddenly the 2-3 hour quote is for the simplier non permanent brake systems that lay on the drivers side floor.... Seriously. Those system dont need a professional install. They clamp on to the brake pedal and plug into the cigarette socket. I tell him I cant afford that and we were done. Huge waste of time.Edit in reply to Meads comment:1-Mead on the phone never explained he had to see the parts to offer a quote. His quote was given with confidence well before asking me to come by the shop. Im glad I am not a paying customer seeing as I was almost robbed!2- The installation manual for the brake system very clearly states that the install should take no longer than 2-3 hours. You can call SMI and confirm. Dont listen to this crook Mead.3- camping world quoted no more than 5! As they do these installs everyday and also said itd only take 5 if they ran into very SERIOUS PROBLEMS!4- Ended up installing the system myself and it took me 6 hours. With about 2 on the phone with SMI asking for help. It took me a non-professional to do a job in the same amount of time a professional wanted to do it at a professionals price. 99$ an hour. Ridiculous!5- Such an inflated quote will be reported to the BBB. Especially considering the manufacturer themselves state the install is only 2-3 for a true professional.
I strongly recommend Mead Auto/RV Service in Blythe, CA. Hamp (owner) and tech staff diagnosed and fixed a speedo problem that could have been serious with a cracked emergency brake assembly that prevented speed sensors from working.I had four different opinions on the case because it involved lots of money ($3000 in all). Hamp had it on the road as soon as new assembly and parts installed. Good service, knowledge, and work. Thanks to the whole group at Mead RV Service.
Driving thru California to take our son to Arizona State. Ran over a tire tread causing a grinding noise. Had the car towed to Meads after reading the other reviews and talking with the tow truck driver. Hamp looked at the car first thing in the morning and was able to fix it in about 30 minutes. Hamp was so personal and professional! Top notch shop. I would highly recommend Mead auto repair.
Wonderful people.
