I just had two holsters made. A paddle holster and an inside concealment holster. They were very professional and helpful. I will definitely be going there again.

My 2nd visit here- I had seen the video posted to facebook today about theft, now i know its not small business Saturday but today was Mission Monday.I stopped in here after work and purchased this shirt in the coolest color i have seen in a while and walked the counter to pay for this with the50$ bill i had not knowing the price of this shirt before hand and then i preceded to tell the lady to take my change and put it in the donation jar or gofundme or whatever to help with the security upgrades and i left the store Mission Complete.So I donated my change for some change #donatechangeforchange its sad to hear in such a great city,community, and county that people would take food of someones plate; because you may have stolen monetary value in said items but that results in loss of money but more importantly food of peoples plates who work at this place. I know being in the midst of a pandemic is hard but its hard on everyone not just one person. So if you happen to visit here and buy something think about donating your change for some change #bluespringsproudThey say 3rd times a charm well there were 2 beautiful ladies and one man working when i came into today; Im sure theres a joke to go with this.... but everyone was so nice the young man said hi to me but didnt introduce himself also known as the elusive Gavin. Ive bought a few mags from Hughes Defense in the past because they had the lowest prices compared to several other shops near me. Besides the great prices, Gavin and his team always have a smile on their faces and are very knowledgeable. One thing you dont see often are gun shops proactively reaching out and engaging with their customer base. I really enjoy the rants. Overall, Ive been to the shop several times and have always left with what I came in for, if not more. Keep it up!

I’m pretty new to building AR platform rifles, so obviously I’m going to have questions. Hughes Defense staff does an excellent job of not only answering my questions but the reason behind the answer. For example, I am building an AR-9 currently and have two different options with magazine choices. A member of the staff explained the pros and cons of both options to me in a great way without being condescending. It’s a really great place!

Id like to say the holsters are great, but they are not like they were once before. Earlier this year i had a few holsters made sometime around June, and i think the holster smith name was Chris. The ones he made me are outstanding, and i wish he was still around. Sadly i recently had one made and it wasnt anything like i had received before.

The custom holster i had made by hughes defense was done very quickly and I was very happy with the results, but after a few days of wearing my weapon I was unhappy with one corner on the holster due to how it rubbed against my side. I returned to the shop and they were able to fix the issue in just a few moments time! Very comfy now edc. Keep up the great work in the shop and the community!

Been doing business with Gavin for years. When he left his previous place of employment and opened his own place, I happily followed him, moving my patronage to Hughes Defense. Gavin and his team has always been honest and straightforward. At one point I brought in a couple of guns hoping to sell. Gavin explained how he wouldn’t be able to offer as much money as I was hoping for for either firearm. He took the time to explain why each one was worth what it was through current condition, demand for the particular make and model, etc. Going over his points, he was 100% right. I had overvalued my firearms, and that was my own fault. I appreciate the extra steps he took to explain why “my babies” weren’t as perfect as I thought. He had every right to simply say “This is my price, take it or leave it.” But he didn’t. I suppose I had watched a few too many episodes of American Picker and Pawn Stars.

Im an over the road trucker who is only in town for a couple of days every 2 - 6 months. I went in to hughes defense to buy a rifle Ive wanted for years and they sat down with me and ordered the exact rifle I wanted at the price I wanted. The staff was very friendly and very helpful and answered any questions I had. Also Gavin understood my working circumstances and was able to hold on to the rifle until the next time I came back to town.

Took my daughter in and he gave her some great pointers and she purchased her new pistol there using the in store kiosk. Very quick and easy process. First Time Visiting- I follow this place on social media and watch the Sunday night rants but never been in here before they moved or after they moved until today.Reason for visiting was i have a winter coat which has 2 pockets on the outside that use something known as the adder system which incorporates the use of the molle (molly) system into it so i went in here to see if they would know of or recommend a holster I could buy that would work with this setup.First Foot in the door- the place is very spacious; they have everything organized very well so its not to hard to find what your looking for yourself. The floor is a very nice color and along with the walls and stuff gave it a feng shui gun shop vibe if there was every such a thing.Staff- I was greeted by a young man I never got his name but hes from Iowa after he was done ringing up the customer he asked me if there was anything he could help with and I told him what I was looking for he thought he had something that would work but then decided to show me stuff on the internet that I could buy which was awful nice he went to the trouble to do that for a customer; but if I am being honest I came in here for something I could buy today and or have custom made if need be. He told me I could talk to the other gentleman when he was done with his customer and he could probably help his name was Chris or as I am sure the ladies say talk dark and handsome; he suggested he could make a pancake holster and it would work best he thought with some angled clips but neither of these two gentleman had seen the setup on my coat before. He showed me some ones that were already premade that he could mold into a holster for my gun or some premade prints I could get but those would be more expensive and take a little longer to make they were some cool designs but they had some really cool color options already done up for a pancake holster; so I decided to go with the orange color as I myself prefer to be different and stay away from standard colors when I can plus it kind of offsets my brown colored coat. He said it would take 1 hour and he would call me when its done but then he offered for me to sit in one of the chairs and wait; as I had nothing going on I decided to wait. As he is making this i can here him talking out loud about this holster and he seemed really excited about how it was going and let me tell you there is nothing wrong with taking pride in your work at all; he even asked the other guy his opinion during the process on how it looked. In the end i must say it turned out fantastic he let me try it out before I paid for it to make sure I was happy and it would work for 50$ and some change for something custom I am happy.Final Thoughts- I was kind of sad on my first visit here the owner wasnt there; they didnt have any shirts in colors I like otherwise I might have bought one. They should add a small gun range and Bigger selection of hand guns other than that my experience was A+ will definitely be back for some reason or another.
