Have been going here for years and thats why I gave 3 stars instead of 1. Seems like the quality of product and service has been going downhill. The family that used to run it every weekend that i went is no longer there. Such a shame. Used to be a good Sunday morning donut stop.Edit in response: I wish you the best of luck. Service has deteriorated, product is iffy available at best. Original ownership was soooo much better.Go be it another try this AM. 10-31-22. WAITED BEHIND ANOTHER CAR FOR SEVERAL MINUTES, PULLED TO THE WINDOW, SAT FOR MINUTES THERE, RANG THE BELL, MORE MINUTES THEN WENT TO QT FOR DONUTS. NEVER MORE.

We like this type of Donut shop. Fresh, they fill the donuts on the spot. Apple fritter had more apple than many other places. “Pinecone” is huge! Only concern is that the pricing wasn’t clear and the sign was incomplete/incorrect.

We love daylight donuts! The donuts are delicious. The drive thru is so convenient. If you can get here before they run out, youre lucky! They have 4 different fillings they can put inside of donuts. They usually have a variety decorated in some cute way that makes me smile, and something to please everyone. My go-to donut place.

Donuts are just good.But wait, theres more!!The Sausage Rolls are just out of this world. A nice sausage wrapped in a delicately sweetened bread. Go early. They always run out of them.

The donuts were awesome and the staff was super helpful! It was my first time and the lady that helped me picked all my donuts for me and I was very please and so were my kids!

Under new management they never have enough donuts made even at 7:30 in the morning. They ran out of stuff day before and didn’t have any made. Twice now donuts were cold and hard and twice with the Bavarian crime barely any powdered sugar on it ( once it was only on one side and not the other) and took 4-5 bites before got any creme in it. Also they are making the donuts smaller then before. Used to love this place

Honestly this is one of the best donut places around! The shop has a drive through which is super nice because then I can go in my pajamas! I really love there old fashion donuts! They also have other food such as biscuits and gravy, which by the way are also very good! The people working there are always super friendly! I would really recommend!

They do have great donuts, however, they are so slow. They didn’t used to be this slow. If you go here might as well allow 30 minutes or more just sitting in line for donuts.

Love their filled long johns. Their white whip is the best. I only wish they were open 7 days a week & didnt sell out so fast!

Came in at five in the morning and was feeling rough. I orderes 5 boxes of donuts for a school club and a coffee for me. The lady who helped me was sweet as could be and was incredibly helpful. I appreciate the kindness and my club loved the donuts. Great price, great quality, and great people.

Best Donuts in town. Reasonable prices. Texas size Apple Fritters are the largest in town. Drive up convenience. Plus, they have a breakfast menu which includes Biscuits and Gravy. My family has enjoyed Daylight Donuts for years. You wont be disappointed. Tell them Russ sent you.

Best donut in town. They are in dire need of some major clean up and store revamp. BUT they have an excellent selection of donuts. I will say I am extremely disappointed in the flavor profile of their old fashion and plain glazed, but their other donuts are great.

So sad. This place was taken over by new management. But I just cannot ever go here again. They taste just as good but NOW the glazed donuts are literally smaller than the cake donuts? I took a picture. Six on the left are glazed the others on the right are cake. Never seen a glazed donut that tiny. Smaller than Krispy Kreme even. They are now about a THIRD of the size they were? The Long Johns are now smaller than a king sized Three Musketeer? It is funny. I mean I get a new business trying to maximize profit but the margin on a donut has to be pennies? Same cost as before, but now a third of the product. Good luck and good bye MJ we will miss you. :^(?

Well just made my last trip to Daylight Donuts. Somthing that I looked forward to during the weekends or before work was biscuits and gravy with dbl sausage, donuts with the kids and wow has it changed. Biscuts and gravy with sausage not the same, only four glazed donuts available no chocolate long johns @8am. Was told the glazed donuts just came up which was odd since those were definitely not even the slightest bit warm. Very sad to see this place under new ownership and going south quick! To the response......well when I came to the window and was told when I asked for a dozen glazed that there were only four available and a minute later am told they just came up would assume that would mean its going to be fresh and warm which have definitely received in the past and as for the biscuits and gravy with sausage there is something definitely different about the sausage. But what would a family that has been eating from there for a few years know lol. But glad you have a excuse for all negative feedback.

The flavors of the apple fritter are amazing. Lots of cinnamon, lots of apples, just the right amount of glaze. Crispy on the outside. The only thing that kept me from finishing the fritter was that it was raw in the middle.

My favorite doughnut shop. I love that i can get a custom long john doughnut. Staff is always nice and friendly. Also I think the doughnuts are better than any other place and yes even Lamars.

I Googled donuts on the south side of Blue Springs and Daylight Donuts popped up. They are located in an older building. They had drive through; although it was extremely tight to drive through. Good thing I was in a smaller car. I was on a quest for an apple fritter, which they had. It was a little more flat and dense than I was expecting, but it was tasty. Price seemed reasonable. I would go back.

I Will just assume this has changed owners. Which makes us so sad. We miss the mom and her kids working the shop every time we went in. The donuts are not the same anymore. They are awful. We are looking for a new donut place :(

The workers are very nice, however, the experience I had at 9:15am wasnt the best. They were out of sausage rolls, blueberry cake donuts. So we settled with something else. The chocolate covered glazed donut and another cake donut we got were stale. I will give it another go to see if it was a bad day.

My favorite place to get donuts...however, you cant depend on whether they will be open or not! So frustrating, especially when you live on the north end of Blue Springs and go out of your normal drive to work only to find the lights out and theyre closed AGAIN. Happened just this morning AGAIN! I cant give it more than 2 stars, because of this happening too many times to count!
