Their regulations are very liberal. However I like the brands they carry and the ability to test out products before I buy them. They also have a very good return policy.

The woman loves to go in and try new makeup. Of course being a man, I have no idea what to expect. The place is clean, and the staff is nice. We will be going back for sure

The whole staff was so rude. As soon as I walked in, they all stopped their conversation to follow me just because I had my newborn in her stroller. I literally when in just to pick up some more Anastasia eyebrow makeup and I was watch, followed and everything, even checking out the cashier was so rude, this store is so stuck up. So I’ll just be ordering online since I can’t take my daughter with me in peace!!

I have been personally going to Amber Duffy for years and am always impressed with her talent to give me the perfect cut and color every time! Amazing hairstylists who care about their clients hair!

Amber is the best stylist I have ever seen. So knowledgeable and caring. The Ulta app is amazing and full of great deals. The Ulta brand is a great value and very comparable to many expensive brands. LOVE THE BLUE SPRINGS LOCATION!

Little pricy (compared to Walmart) but getting good knowledgeable service makes up for it (plus Walmart doesnt have nearly the variety that Ulta does).

Went in to get shampoo and conditioner quickly and went straight to the front of the store to check out.Only 2 people in front of me all standing on the arrows leading up to the register. After about 10 minutes of standing in line one of the cashiers notifies the 3 of us that the end of the line was now over against the wall where several people have formed a line, even though we had been standing in our line for 10 minutes and they hadnt been there when i got in line. I walked out with no purchase. This location will never get my business.

Staff not helpful, their conversations with each other was more important than helping the customersI have been a customer for years in Colorado. This store made your visit HORRIBLE. Plus the items are way over priced. AVOID this place like the plague

I love what they have to offer but it’s mostly online I can find more affordable deals. Still a great place and friendly staff.

I went to great pains to ensure that the person I selected was qualified and experienced in blonde and trending short cuts with emphasis on under cuts.They clearly did not have the right tools for an under cut technique, by the end they seemed to simply give up because it’s true that to produce that result without specialty razors, instead using shears, thinning shears and a straight razor would take FOREVER! Even the techniques used by this person clearly illustrated that they had no clue/training on HOW to get the texture I requested. Instead they just kept cuttingand cutting...removing all the length I spent 6 months growing out.I’m now back to where I was length wise.With the color a result was achieved that as a base I don’t hate but more steps would need to be taken to achieve the result I asked for, described and was promised by the stylist.I also asked for and was assured I would receive balayage, yet what occurred was a repeat of what this stylist clearly had done over and over on clients, of baby lights with foils. The color I have is nice, but most certainly is not balayage; it isn’t even foilyage (a balayage like technique using foils), I don’t think any person at this location even understands that balayage is a painting technique (btw-it’s French for “painting”).It would’ve just been better if the stylist had said, I’m not 100% certain how to achieve that.If that wasn’t enough; the stylist who seemed to be the one in command was incredibly unprofessional. Constantly there was discussion about salon items they were out of stock, or nearing being out of stock, and different products they wanted to order. Clients should NEVER have the time they are paying for used to discuss staff meeting issues.This type of discussion on the floor, in front of customers makes clients doubt your Ability to be prepared for their appointments and your ability to care for them.Which is the whole reason they are there!Every time my hair had to process my stylist left me.NEVER EVER should a client be left unattended under a drier or with any chemical on their head!I can’t believe Ulta allows this as it seems like a HUGE liability.The last time I was left on my own they said i would need to process for 3-5 min.15 minutes later I just stood up and told them I had to get going, to find them out on the floor working on their bosses hair!This is the sort of “practicing” behavior that is appropriate at a school-salon, certainly not in a place that is trying hard to make people believe they are professional, apparently by simply charging more.Extremely disappointing to see that this is the leadership coming from the top at Ulta.The price I was quoted was not even what we stuck to. I would’ve happily paid even MORE than I did or was quoted had the experience and result been better.That said, this was the most expensive salon service I have ever had in my life, for a mediocre result, at best.If Ulta needs their stylists working on more than one client at a time for cost reasons, then please, charge clients more!-so purchased time does not have to be split.It truly felt like I was paying for the lead stylist to get their hair done.Perhaps if my stylist had not been held hostage by their superior, they could’ve had more time/energy to devote to doing my hair correctly.The janky service given at this location for the amount paid; was more a kin to being robbed in the ghetto by someone with shears and a black apron instead of a knife and mask.I would just hate for anyone else to feel that they wasted their time, money and trust as I do.Regrettably,You’re disappointed former customer.*Sent this email to Ulta, received a call from the service manager apologizing asking to correct the issue.I called back and left a message to schedule a correction appointment but they never called back.Give this comment a thumbs up to help warn others!

Do NOT allow the sales people to place an online delivery order for you. It takes FOREVER for you to receive your order. So far it has been eight days since I placed an order on 08/18 wantingTo receive it by 08/25 because I wanted it Birthday on the 25th and I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY ORDER! Shoot it would have been faster for me to have just driven to another store and picked it up.I have been tracking the order or an OD last four days it has weird between Lenexa Kansas or Kansas City Kansas twice and I live in independence Missouri how the hell does this make sense and tell any people don’t order online through a sales rep from them!!! SO irritated!!!!!

Nothing against the associates that work at this store, but there is NEVER a full stock of red carpet gel polish. I always know what colors I want when I walk in and then they dont have anything related. Not a single yellow. Not an orange. Not even a brown. They have the same colors that no one else wanted that I have zero interest in. Theres no reason for me to shop there anymore which makes me sad because it was convenient but I bought sally hansen gel polish today and it is not an equal at all. Its no better than a regular polish. Theres nothing gel about it. Its goopy and soft. Ulta has been more and more over priced and Im done. Just order online. Youll get exactly what you want and for cheaper by cutting these guys out. What Ulta sells is an atmosphere, not exceptional products OR deals.

Horrible service. Went it for dry shampoo. Found one I wanted and Gave a little squirt to make sure it sprays. (Bought before and got home to find it didn’t spray). Worker snatches it and said she has to damage it because I made it live. I said I was going to get it and she said I can find it at the front. I tried to point out that there was about a dozen I. The shelf that were used but she walked off. Mouthing that I damaging merchandise.

I will never come back here for salon services!!! I asked for a medium length haircut up to my collarbone and the stylist just assumed that it is okay to cut my hair up to my jaw line. I also requested for an angled-layered cut for the sides and the back but that didn’t happen as well! The end result was far from everything that I ever wanted. Everything is effin’ UGLY! I feel ugly!!! Can’t even look at myself in the mirror without getting irritated/frustrated!!! Thanks for making me feel this way!!! 😭😡😤🤬

For Christmas I received a bottle of perfume. But it was the wrong smell. The one I love is Dior Addict in the dark blue bottle. They made it right. Had to wait for the shipment to come in. But they emailed me. Happy Happy that made me. What a blessing ❣Thank you 👍😊🥳❣

Everyone was super helpful and actively tried to get me the best discounts by giving me codes I had no idea about.I will say that for some they may seem a little pushy right now (during covid) because there are usually very few in person shoppers and they are just bored.

Besides having the feeling of employees hovering, I found what I came in for. Maybe the employees were just bored and looking for something to do, but hovering too much can make your guests feel uncomfortable. I wouldve gladly asked for help if I needed it. It almost felt as if they thought I would steal and that is not a good feeling when you go to pay top dollar for cosmetics. In fact, I was carrying my wallet in my hand! Again, maybe the employees were just bored and overly eager to help. I usually go to a location in Johnson County, Kansas and have never had a hovering problem there.

Amazing! With people stuck at home apparently hair color is slim pickings. The ladies saved the day and helped me come up with an alternative product for my daughter that she ended up loving! They also reminded me I had a coupon and rewards so it saved me about a third of the cost.

I am giving this 3/5 stars. I went in looking for makeup obviously. Well I was needing help finding a brow pomade under 20 dollars. I asked a associate and she said “oh that is out of my realm” rudely and referred me to someone who could help. The girl that helped me was very nice and took time to help me out and give recommendations. I just did not appreciate the other lady acting like she is better than someone and couldn’t help because what I was looking for wasn’t in her price “realm”

Ulta has everything you want or need in relation to your beauty needs. So many products that people can test & sample before completing their purchase. If the product isnt in store, the sales assistant can process the order right @ their register. We did that for a specific lotion my step-mother wanted. Great stuff, go on in & wander about!

The staff is always so friendly here. Most Ulta Beautys you go to, their makeup swatches and testers are just a mess. But not here! As I said the staff is always so very friendly and very very helpful. One great experience that I had here... I had called in to make an appointment to have my haircut. The girl that I spoke to unfortunately scheduled me for the wrong month. However, when I went in for my appointment the woman apologized several times got me right in and set me up with Master stylist. This master stylist Shelly is amazing! She listen to exactly what I wanted and did exactly what I wanted and went a little bit further. I love my hair. I will definitely go back here to get my hair cut again!

Chantel was so helpful and patient with me! I needed to learn how to do my foundation, contouring, and false eyelashes to prepare for my wedding and upcoming events. She walked me through each product and since COVID won’t allow application she wrote down all the steps for me which has saved me multiple times. I knew the product was going to be on the expensive side but she made sure to grab items that were great but also on sale so I wasn’t paying full price for everything. You can always find someone willing to help. They will ask the other employees if they dont know the answer to a question to make sure you get what you need. Annie in The Salon is absolutely amazing. Ive seen nothing but beautiful hair come from her hands. The Brow Bar is a great experience and your brows will be perfect every time. The rewards program is very easy to benefit from.

I walk in to buy some make up. When i ask someone to help me pick out a color she just told me oh that one will be fine, she didnt even come close to me she was like 6 feet away. She just walk away I need more help i was trying to find Nail polish and I wanted to get a face wash but there was no one around to help, I just want to talk to someone about what kind of product would work best for me.

The staff always welcomes me as soon as I walk through the door! They are helpful and knowledgeable about the products they sell. It’s the best place to purchase drugstore and prestige cosmetics! Love this place!

Didnt match my shoes

So normally they are great, but today after spending close to $300 in the store, not even one sample! I can spend $50 online and get samples but today nothing! So disappointed in the customer service today. Maybe I just need to continue to shop online.

I couldnt live without my Ulta!!

My wife and I visited this ulta to get a bottle of perfume (Alien). It’s not an item that is carried in stock so they offered to order it. Without verifying any personal information such as address she (the cashier) finalized the transaction. A supervisor of hers tried to help for about 5 minutes saying she would be on hold for a while but we pull get this fixed if we called. 5 trys later the customer service line never comes to the line and apparently I’m out $100.00 on a bottle of perfume that was sent to the wrong address. Staff acted as though it was no big deal or not their problem. I will not ever spend money there again. Totally feel disrespected.

Maybe its was because I had a big handbag or I was somehow looking shifty, but I kept getting followed all around the store. Wherever I went, the same girl followed me. I eventually just started walking back and forth throughout the store and, yup, that sales girl was wherever I was. Ive worked in retail most of my adult life and I know what that means. No offer of customer service unless I asked a question. They were treating me like a thief, and I really dont appreciate that. Thinking of contacting corporate. One star because I cannot give zero stars.

They ripped my wife off getting hair barely trimmed for $40. It literally took the guy 5 seconds to trim what she needed after her hair got colored. Do not go there to get your hair done. Warned!

I had high hopes going to the salon for the first time. I had one day off and chose Ulta. I found a babysitter and had made an appointment online for 4:15. I get to the store at 4pm and they say they dont see any reservations, I show them my confirmation email and the stylist and they say theyre booked up until 8pm and there was nothing they could do unless the 4:30 just didnt show up.

Though I was there to buy an ultra chi for 50. it ended up being 90. they had an issue with how they labeled and stocked and were extremely proffecional with how they handled the situation. extremely pleasant service!

The Clinique rep was awesome. Very friendly and helpful.
