Checking in was easy….wait time was minimal. Once called back Dr Lambert’s assistant, Andrew, was polite, efficient and professional. Dr Lambert conducted the eye exam and explained everything quickly and clearly. He addressed each of my questions fully, answering in detail. Start to finish this was an excellent medical visit. My whole family are patients at Discover O and are treated by Dr Lambert. This includes my special needs adult daughter who he cares for with extra kindness, understanding and professional patience.

Dr. Lambert did an excellent job of caring for my eyes. His assistant Becky is the real MVP. She is knowledgeable, personable, thorough, and caring. They make a great team!

A team member returned my call at 4:00 on Friday of Memorial Weekend. She listened to my concerns and said if I could come into the office right then she would make sure that I got seen. I saw Dr. Lambert who was kind and professional. He explained what was causing my eye problems. He never once mentioned that he was staying late to see me. The office staff was friendly and showed no concern that they were staying late on my behalf. I certainly appreciated being seen as I needed antibiotics. It would have been a long weekend if the initial team member hadnt made it possible for me to see the doctor.

I’ve been going to Discover Vision Center for many years with no complaints. They are efficient and friendly. This was my first visit with Dr. Lambert and I was very pleased, he was friendly and informative, explained what he was doing and what to look for in the future. Dr Lambert with Discover Vision Centers was wonderful with my four year old daughter. She wasn’t scared at all. Although she is unable to verbalize what most kids are able to, due to a speech delay, he was able to work with her to figure out everything he needed to make an accurate diagnosis. The entire staff is great, from the front desk, to the technicians, to the physicians! We will definitely be returning!

Overkill with the confirmation notifications. I confirmed as instructed with a C and still got text, email and voice mails regarding my appointment after conforming.

I was promised contacts within 2 weeks by the receptionist, they were the only place I could get into quickly. I had an event I desperately needed them for, so I went here instead of my normal optometrist. Not only did it take a month for the contacts to get in (so I dont even need them now) but also they wouldnt let me take them home. They are forcing me to do a contact lens fitting even though Ive worn contacts in the past. This place just tells you anything you want to hear to get you in the door and take your money, then they make you jump through hoops with their inconvenience

My girlfriend and I recently had same day appointments here for exams and glasses purchase. Granted our appointments were later in the afternoon, the entire process was very pleasant and next to 0 minutes wait time. The gentleman at the glasses shop (I believe his name was Matt?) was especially helpful and professional in helping us choose the right lense type for our prescriptions and still keep it economical. I appreciated his suggestions based on his own personal experience. Genuinely friendly, very helpful and completely professional!

Dr. Hamaker did my cataract surgery a year ago and the surgery went well. I recently had an annual check-up with him and was given (4) options to correct the huge difference in my prescription lenses. I have made my choice among those options. I respect his opinion and highly recommend him as a surgeon .

Dr. Dyer at Discover Vision has been my optometrist for several years. She has performed at a high level of professionalism all that time. She detected my detached retina in its very early stages and immediately set me up with an ophthalmologist. In addition, I love her personality and her ability to remember many things about me. She will be missed when she retires.

Great new office is amazingly quick and efficient!

Good doctors visit but I had to wait 2 days for my prescription to be filled . I thought that I would be able to get it the day on my appointment. I went by target the next day and they still havent received the prescription from you all. So I was disappointed in the follow through on my prescription.

Dr. Hamker was great and so was his team . I was told I was going to receive a courtesy call to see how I am doing but I never received it, I am assuming it is do to how busy they are. But I enjoyed the team; they very were nice. In my opinion he did a marvelous job and I would recommend him to friends and family.

Theres usually less than a 10 or 15 minute waiting time. Everyone is always extremely polite, friendly, and answers all my questions to my satisfaction. Dr. Hamaker has always been very proactive in the treatment and explanation of my cataract surgeries, and monitoring my eye pressure and adjusting my medications for glaucoma. I have always felt very comfortable and confident in the care I have received from all the doctors and staff and would definitely recommend their services to anyone in the area.

You get what you pay for so dont gamble your eye care at somewhere like Walmart. This place has compassionate and dedicated employees. Very thorough!

I had my eye examined and purchased new eyeglasses. Ten weeks later I was not seeing clearly. Dr. Dyer did a recheck on my eyes at no additional cost and a change in my prescription at no cost. What a blessing!

1st visit with Todd and I was very pleased with the attention and concern he gave with my yearly eye exam. My past doctor is retiring and I will now go with Todd for eye care at Discover Vision.

I scheduled appointment online and they wrote back to confirm 8AM and then put me down for 9AM without telling me. That means that when I showed up, I had to wait in the lobby. Finally, after waiting, they tell me that my vision insurance isnt accepted there. They tell me that they left a voicemail saying that yesterday but I sent them a copy of my phone records showing that wasnt the case. This means that they are not detail-oriented (mis-scheduled my appointment) and that they also have no problem lying (saying they called me when they didnt). They wasted my morning and I didnt get an eye exam like I needed and all they could say was sorry which wasnt really good enough for me. No out-of-network options? No cash pay discount since they wasted my morning? They had a person needing an eye exam and they sell eye exams. Best they could do is say $125? I wouldve done it for vision insurance negotiated rate just to get it over with but I guess they dont think outside the box like an entrepreneur.

The staff is great. It is nice going to a place of work where everyone is in a good mood. Dr Hamaker is very patient and never makes you feel like your unimportant. I would highly recommend him and his staff.

My wait was very short. The initial exam before seeing Dr. Hammacher was efficient, professional and courteous. Dr. Hammacher’s exam was thorough, answering all of my questions. Then I went to choose my glasses, and the employee who helped me was courteous and considerate, answering all of my questions completely. The price was VERY reasonable, particularly considering that I have no vision insurance, and they gave me the option to break it up into 2 payments, which wasn’t necessary. From the very beginning when I checked in, I was treated in a considerate, professional manner. The entire experience was great, and not too much of a strain on my bank account.

Arrangements were made to have cateract surgery. I was able to see the doctor and have the necessary tests the same day. Schedule was determined and Im all set.I went for my year check up amid the covid19 pandemic. Felt safe with all the proper protection for staff and patients. New facility is very nice in Blue Springs.

Referred to Dr. Hamaker from Centerpoint ER with double vision. Was able to see him the very next day. Within minutes he diagnosed my problem and prescribed a prism for my left eye and single vision was restored. Hopefully, as he has predicted my normal eyesight will return within weeks or months.

My visits are only 1x per year but experience is good. I miss Dr. Price but have confidence in Dr. Hamaker.

I saw Dr. Dyer. I was seen quickly with very little wait time. The lady at the front desk talked to me about my insurance options before I started my appointment. The tech was friendly & professional. The doctor took her time to explain things to me and she tried several times to get a more accurate reading on my stubborn right eye. Their machines & methods are up to date. They worked with my budget and didnt push me to buy eyeglasses as well. Overall, my first experience was a pleasant one. My husband goes for his appt. tomorrow.

Dr Dyer has been my eye doctor for 20 plus years! Now I see Dr Hammaker for my glaucoma. I love the Independence location, but Blue Springs is great too! Dr. Hammaker helped me so I can have laser surgery every 2-3 years and never need drops for my glaucoma! It has been successful and I never have any issues!
