Honestly, one of the coolest shops in town. They used to be in OTR, so the free parking in the new location is a plus. Employees here are extremely patient with beginners (like myself) and have helped me create some truly special and unique gifts time and time again. They also do great work with professional designers and they do custom work and quality repairs. Ive been very impressed with their desire to keep employees and customers safe during the pandemic and I appreciate that they require customers to wear masks, as they ALWAYS have theirs on (even before you walk in the door). I feel very safe here, and I always feel appreciated for visiting. Such a pleasant experience each time. Keep it up, WOB!

We drove up from KY and were told we had to wear mask. They were unhappy with the service animal we had. They refused us service. They were mandating mask in their store and if we wouldn’t wear one we had to leave. The mandate has been lifted and they are forcing people to have to wear one. Poor ownership. Not a kind way to greet someone the moment they walk into your store. Should have saved our time. People like this aren’t worth me spending my money in their store. They don’t have the right to mandate a mask. Will be reporting to the BBB as well. Shame on you.

Had a private jewelry making class with Dave for my birthday. Dave knows his stuff! We had tons of fun & learned new things. Also, beautiful matching set of earrings and ring.

I totally recommend this store. There’s great customer service and there’s a great selection of crystals. And I made the prettiest Aventurine necklace. Oh yeah and they let you pick out the chain for your jewelry. 🥰

Love to come here and browse so many options, colors and textures. These girls are The Best in helping you.I came with a broken necklace and left happy. They showed me options and made while I was waiting. Amazing!! This is for sure a Favorite Stop when I am in town.I even showed a ring that I am looking for and they told me they will have next time Im here.The bottom line is thats the kind of store that has everything you need to customize a necklace or choker or bracelet. This weekend was my first time visiting the store since it changed location and it was really nice. My mom and I both took our first class. It was a lot of fun and we each had a beautiful finished project afterwards. I already want to take another class. The employees were super nice.

You can find any size shape and color of Crystal or bead that you are looking for at this store. They have everything you can imagine for jewelry making. They offer classes as well. The manager is super nice and knowledgeable. I definitely will be returning there.

My daughter graduated from Nursing school on Saturday. I usually dont stray far from the hotel, but since I am a beader, I decided to look for a bead shop. The first ad was for A World of Beads. It was twenty minutes from the hotel. When we arrived to the shop, the ladies at the shop made me feel right at home. Sorry I didnt ask for names, but this shop was really friendly. They kept my adult children and small niece occupied while I had the pleasure of shopping. They had beads I wasnt familiar with but the beauty of the beads made me buy anyway. I recommend this bead shop to any out of town beader!

The girls were so friendly when I went in and incredibly patient while I was trying to decide on what to get and what I was looking for. So happy to have discovered this boutique! Please, if youre into beading, check them out first before you go to Hobby Lobby. They had a huge variety that I couldnt find at several of the local craft stores.

Tl;dr: Great bead store with great selection, prices, staff and classes. Highly recommend.I’ve been making jewelry as a hobby for over 18 years and am always on the hunt for a great bead shop. Unfortunately, Ohio does not have a lot of bead stores and they are usually very limited in what they offer. This place is the exception and is hands down my favorite store in the state. The new location is beautifully done, but that is not to say that their previous location was any less. The store is well organized, open, and clean, giving you plenty of space to take your time to meander and see everything they offer.They have a great selection of beads including a gorgeous semi-precious stone selection. They also sell all sorts of findings including precious metal wires and beads. Their prices are reasonable and while you can see some more expensive things in their store, the quality of their inventory is well worth the price tag. I always leave feeling comfortable knowing that I am purchasing excellent quality materials. The staff and owner are knowledgeable, friendly and are more than willing to answer your questions or help you with a project. For a first time beader, the selection might look overwhelming at first, but the staff will be more than willing to help you out and you will soon be on your way to making cool jewelry. For an more advanced beader, you can quickly feel at home and start furiously planning future projects.They also offer a number of classes which I would highly recommend. I’ve had the opportunity to take their Ring Stacking and Advanced Silversmithing classes and had a great experience in both. While I have been making jewelry for years (mostly stringing and cold wirework), I had never learned how to solder and was honestly a little intimidated about the process. I had looked into taking soldering/silversmithing classes previously and they had always been prohibitively expensive. Both the classes I took were incredibly reasonable, coming in around $65 and $125 plus materials fees ranging from $25+. They do allow you to bring in your own stones/materials (I brought my own stones for the Advanced class) but their selections of stones to work with are wonderful as well.Dave Young, who taught both classes, was a wonderful and patient teacher. In both classes there were people of all skill levels (some people had never made jewelry or worked with wire before) and he adapted well to teaching to everyone’s levels. He gave everyone one on one teaching, while keeping the overall group on track. He was great at troubleshooting issues and would guide you in correcting issues without taking over so you could learn from your mistakes. They also sell complete supply kits after you finish the class so you can start soldering at home.Overall this is a great bead shop and is worth a visit even if you just want to wander around and look at pretty shiny things.

Bought two silver toggles feb. 2016. they were located in their bali silver trays behind the counter and priced per gram. i noticed that they were silver plated a couple days later when i saw copper showing through both toggles. when i asked about this, they confirmed that it was silver plated and two toned. Q: so why are you pricing them by the gram? A: because we lowered our per gram pricing on silveruhmm.... theyre not even close to pure silver. so much so that casual wear can quickly reveal the base metal. at best this is dishonest and deceptive. i could have bought silver plated at michaels for $2.00 a piece instead of $12.00 at world of beads. ill never shop here again.

Today was my first visit to A World of Beads, but it won’t be my last! This is an amazing place; lots of gemstone beads, gorgeous pearls and sterling silver findings. Samantha and Zach were awesome: gracious, attentive and personable. I enjoyed shopping there and will recommend to all.
