This place has the BEST pizza in town! We love the thin, crispy crust and all of the amazing flavors. The Baldini is my favorite, a little spicy with the pepperincinis but not too spicy. The fried ravioli appetizer is delicious too. I highly recommend this restaurant. The decor is retro/old school - very cool old pizza style restaurant.
I havent been there in over ten years. Nothing has changed, but why change something that works well. The place was packed on a Friday night. The service was great. The food was amazing as always. Get there loaded pizza and you wont be disappointed.
The pizza here was phenomenal. Absolutely phenomenal. The staff was kind and gave me suggestions as Im not from around here. If you go here strongly suggest try the pizza. Ill be going back before I head to my next job!

Despite being ridiculously busy, service was excellent at the bar. The bartender was on top of everything and we never had empty glasses. Highly recommend the fried meat ravioli. The pizza must be an acquired taste, because Ive heard rave reviews, but was not personally that excited. Its a paper thin crust with a sweet sauce. Ill be back, but wont get the pizza next time.
We sat upstairs in the small dining area, but, really enjoyed the atmosphere. Im looking forward to going back. The food was filling and tasted good.
Their menu has many items to choose from. I had the Salsicci Pasta. It was delicious. Staff was friendly and did a great job. Atmosphere was awesome! Will definitely go back.
The food wasn’t bad but not great. Their take on chicken parm was really disappointing, no sauce with the pasta(which was oddly enough fettuccine). It was also watery and the chicken was thin. But again not bad just not the traditional parm I was looking forward to. Lasagna wasn’t great, lackluster. Spinach dip was… decent… but the pizza chips that comes with it was the worst out of everything.The restaurant itself was stuffy with no air conditioning and cramped with people stuffed in there like sardines.Service was good, people were nice.
We had the A La Baldini pizza with gluten free crust....super good and will get again. This was our first time here... and it was a win! Service was great, too.
A review had stated this was the best pizza in town and they have perfect crust to cheese to sauce ratio. While I havent tried any other pizza in town, I definitely agree on the perfect pizza ratio and will be back next time Im in the area! We had the Baldini pizza with fried cheese ravioli. The marinara with the ravioli looked homemade and was amazing! The cheese ravioli were OK, probably will get the meat next time. The pizza was phenomenal and cant wait to return!

I love Luccas gluten free crust however, I do not appreciate not getting what I pay for. We ask for and pay for double pepperoni and do not get it. We even told them when we called the order in that we did not get double pepperoni on our last pizza so please make sure this time to add it. Well, there were 12 pepperoni on the whole pizza. If that is double, then forget it. This time we also asked for double ham and it was not very plentiful either but there was plenty of cheese and the crust was crispy. I like that the ham is under the cheese and the pepperoni is on top where it gets crispy. However, the other places we have ordered from understand that when you say double that means twice the meat.Let me state that after posting the above 3 star review, one of the owners reached out to me and was genuinely concerned about any order going out incorrect and making it right for his customers. I was very impressed. As I stated, the food is 5 stars and I have faith the customer service will be more attentive, so I have changed my review to 5 stars.Thank you John.

Very limited menu. Wanted some good Italian food wound up getting a burger. Not recommendUpdate. So very sorry. I got this establishment mixed up with Rosies down the street. The Lucca Grill was very nice with an abundance of dishes on their menu.
Liked the location a block off from the main downtown area in Bloomington. Didnt realize it was 2 stories as I was sat on 1st floor, which seemed tiny and cramped. Bathroom was VERY small and not easy to be in even at 510/230lbs.Food though, was fantastic! You probably should get a reservation first before going, but even the bottom floor bar level has a bit of history to look at while you wait.Overall: 4 ⭐ : just a little too cramped for a comfortable experience, but small 2-person quick sits are worth the investment, even if its just once.
Ive been eating here since I was old enough to walk - and theres nothing like a nice, hot Ala Baldini Pizza. Theres plenty of good stuff on the menu - but this is the place for the best thin crust pizza in town - hands down. Its just got that joint feeling - you can feel the history. Ask for Tony or John - theyll treat you like family.
Ive been here many times over the last 30 years and havent been disappointed. The pizza is fabulous. Large group seating is upstairs with a good view but less ambiance.
I have lived in cities throughout the United States and can say, without qualification, Luccas pizza is the best. Simply superb! Love this place.
I used to travel to Bloomington a lot for work and we usually found ourselves here at least 2x a week! The pizza is truly outstanding. When I lived in Chicago, I found myself missing this pizza so much, and now that I live in Denver, I miss it even more! The ala baldini was our favorite!!

Lucca serves thin, crispy, delicious pies full of fresh ingredients and the perfect balance of crust:sauce:cheese.However, during my most recent couple of visits the service has been underwhelming at best. They are not succeeding in making me feel like my business is appreciated at all. On top of that, it has been very frustrating to see servers engaged in chit chat while ignoring the guests. I am 100% for employees to enjoy work, make friends, and develop good relationships with each other - but not at the expense of making the customer feel more like a burden than a welcome guest.The pizza cant be beat if youre a fan of thin, crispy pies; so I will continue to visit! I hope that service improves so I can revert to the 5 star review that the flavor and quality of the food truly deserves!

Always great service. When we take out of town guests here, they request it on the next visit. Id call the pizza overpriced, but I keep coming here so I guess it isnt. I guess it is just expensive pizza that is well worth it!

Huge Lucca fans but lately the service and quality have definitely taken a hit. I understand covid has taken its toll on small businesses but shouldnt your attempts to keeps customers be upped a bit. Pizza has been somewhat average. We ate there on a weekly basis now its where we go when we have no other options. Doea pizza not include sauce anymore? Its so dry you need a gallon of something to wash it downIm sorry but customer service and food quality is no where near what it use to be. I hope it improves or we will stop going completelyWe pay a premium price for subpar service and food...

Fantastic thin crust pizza. Was here on Saturday night and was fortunate to get a seat at the bar. We had some college students recommend this place and they did not steer us wrong. It was outstanding. One of the best pizzas Ive had in a long time. Two of us ordered a 16 with the intent of leftovers but it was too good to resist.

Food has always been excellent. Pizza is ultra thin crust. Full menu of sandwiches and various Italian dishes. Full service bar. Limited seating now due to covid-19 restrictions.

Great food great service stopped for lunch on a recent Saturday place was packed. I found a spot at the bar. I ordered a thin crust small cheese and sausage pizza. The pizza par excellent, sausage was great, love there thin crust crispy. The sauce is tasty, on the sweet side but excellent. The service was great in spite of how busy it was at lunch time.
Ordered take out and when I went to pick it up, the man at the bar was very rude. The food was also over priced although it was decently good. I will not return simply because of employee attitude.

Pizza is everyones favorite plus a menu not to be ingnored. A must try... reservations a definite at popular times or take your chances. Lunch M-F ...S & S open 3 pm.

Amazing pizza, probably the best in central Il. This pizza is so incredibly thin the flavor has nowhere to hide. Great sandwiches and pasta too. I really like the old Chicago style feel when dining in. Great place to bring the family or grab a drink at the bar. I wish they did delivery!

I always go here when my family comes into town. We were there recently at the bar and some guys stumbled in trying to order more drinks even when they were obviously drunk already and the staff was quick to offer them water and food but refused them more alcohol. The guys got upset but the bartenders and manager were quick to show these guys the door. The pizzas and pasta are also fantastic!
Great place. Nostalgia, beer, pizza, central location. What else do you want?When I go I make sure to get the chicken livers. If you like livers, youll like these. Any pizza is good. Check out their drafts, but if you dont see anything you like, just get a Schlitz. If you can, sit downstairs and/or at the bar.
Quality has gone down the last 2 years. Most recent experience was Alfredo fettucini had virtually no sauce and very dry and zero taste. The lasagna for price paid was a very small portion. Have been disappointed last few times. Have no problem with staff. We are done.
Lasagna was okay needs a little bit more. Love all the noodles were a little bit. Mushy. I think it was overcooked. Very cool little joint Pizza smelled amazing and people braved about it, but I did not have one, Just maybe need to work on your lasagna. I will be back when Im in town.
If I could pick 0 stars I would. Rudest staff I have ever walked into. At 8:25 P.M. we were approached by staff saying Umm we are closing in 15 minutes, but Steak N Shake is open What kind of restaurant says that to a customer? When your grill hours are until 9 P.M.???? Highly recommend you re-think your dine choice before going to this establishment.

Yummy! What more can you say? We ate downstairs and enjoyed every minute of it. We had top notch service and even better tasting food. We went early so we happen to get there before the normal dining crowd and boy were we lucky. Make reservations to be sure to get a seat.
I went there for beer and pizza. They had a nice selection of local craft beer on tap. The pizza was okay. The pieces were cut really small and the crust was soggy. It was recently busy and there was only one server for the whole restaurant. With that said, Jenni, rocked the floor with attention and agility. I have had worse service at other places that have been far less busy. Fantastic service.
