I had a broken foot AND was on crutches. I needed some supplies in which I couldnt carry on my own. Employees were reluctant to help.... responding hold on, or best one being, I think were out of stock. This turned out to not be the case.Special shout out and Thanks goes to good Samaritan Ashley....she not only saw my dilemma but also, carried my items to counter AND my truck! Great prices on the stuff I wanted. First store (Bloomington) was sold out of two of the items I came for but quickly located them in the Savage store And gave directions to get there. This store was showing empty on the shelf but when I inquired he pulled stock from the rear.

No great deal in the store like the past. Some areas had lower inventory.

What can I say about quality tools at an affordable price. They do not have all the specialty tools you may need but they do have the basics. The staff is nice enough and helpful. It is worth the trip.

Good tool store at reasonable prices

This was my first time to harbor freight. it was very easy to find stuff.

There website says things are there, with available inventory- but it’s not. And after driving 20 miles to get there, they were rude enough to say that I Should Have called first. So it was my fault their website is inaccurate. This place has terrible customer service.

Yeah so what if i just love to browse the store for multiple hrs and leave with 1000$s of dollars worth of stuff i know alot of ot has come in handy for me bought my grandma this wireless motion sensor alarm that she just loves so much she repeats herself. It makes it easy to know if someone is at door or coming up the long driveway

Affordable prices for equal quality tools. Large selection, but with end caps and sales consisting of over stock or excess items that wouldn’t fit on the regular shelf so they put it on the end as if there’s a special deal or price cut. This isn’t the case and frequently found myself disappointed after grabbing a good deal then walking the aisle and finding the exact same item for exact same price and it wasn’t a sale or anything. This isn’t a huge issue but if I didn’t check the aisle after, I would have the wrong assumption of buying a special deal on an item when indeed it wasn’t. I think it just reflects the store and the quality of tools and prices and advertising, again this isn’t a negative but an observation. Many customers were returning items and either exchanging or getting cash back and leaving. The lines were always busy or long, with 1 being open until 3 customers backed up then a 2Nd would open cutting the line in half. The first line would need approval for return per their policy so that would literally take the 2nd cashier off their lane to come walk to other cashier and approve return and then return to their own line which just fed both lines longer wait times and a 3rd sales floor person would called up to front and with 3 lines eventually they would control the business. Being busy is never bad but they deal very poorly with lines which is frustrating as at all times I saw 1-2 manager titled or duty holding people on the floor watching buyers almost as if they thought they were doubling as undercover shoppers in their uniforms...? While the lines were busy... sales associates going to bsck room and floor with carts, empty handed, talking, etc but these were never capitalised to help long lines until 30min into the fiasco. It wasn’t poor communication on the cashier either, it was poor response and failure to open, keep open or find someone to open another lane or two. My advice, know what you want; get in get out as fast as possible.

I have to say that this company has great customer service. I bought a Pittsburgh floor jack 3 ton from them a couple years ago and today it stopped working. I didn’t buy a warranty for it but they told me they will accept the Jack for a full refund and put it towards a new floor jack. Wow that’s pretty amazing. I will continue to shop here. Thanks a lot again.

Generally the dollar store of tools and equipment in general. Mask policy for Covid19 not really enforced very well as customers not social distancing very well and some masks are not even masks to help at all. I buy some stuff from there but the deals seem to be a part of some membership plan to get the best pricing. Just not that impressed with the quality of what they sell.

I bought the Central Machine 2hp dust collector, model # 97869. It came within the defined delivery time with the motor frame all bent and no nuts, bolts, or washers to put it together.When calling customer service, the solution was, repack it, and when we receive it, well send you a new one....They couldnt just send me the nuts, bolts, etc!!!! So they have my money for two weeks, then they want me to send it back, which I assume will take another two weeks, only then to wait another two weeks to receive the new one.So, Im just going to bite the bullet, fix the frame myself, go buy the nuts and bolts and do all that I can to make sure that nobody else buys things online from this company.

Great customer service. I found just what I was looking for.

People always look down on harbor freight but I love it. Some are their tools are lower quality but they are dirt cheap, so its perfect for things you may only use every once and awhile. They also have higher end models for their tools that are actually quite nice for a fraction of brand name counterparts.

Harbor freight is great. You need to do some research as some tools are a bargain and some you should avoid. That said the 3200 generator is a bargain especially with the service plan which I highly recommend. The cheap tools just pick through them to find the best working ones and they will last awhile. I dont think I would mail order most hand tools that have moving parts though as Id want to test them first. That said if you need to return something I have never had a problem.

I got prestone coolant for like $6. The cashier alerted me to additional savings in the coupon mailer/mobile app. But ya i always get my tools here idc if theyre cheap its always worth it, think northern hydroliics but even more diversified. Except the heavy-duty commercial equipment northern offers.

Decent tools, good prices

Employees did not properly discuss their return policy to me. They charged me $35 to return a wet saw I did not use. Another employee helped me save a couple dollars for the return fee. That is a lot of money.I did not know some places had such horrible return policies. I will never shop at a Harbor Freight again. They can keep their prices low so they can inconvenience people who are not happy with a product. I would have used that $35 to buy a couple more things from them. However they will now lose my business completely while keeping that $35. I will also discourage anyone I meet to avoid this company. Id rather spend a dollar more on products if it means I get a good return policy if something doesnt work right.I only bought a wet saw there because it was one of its kind. I will take it as a learning experience.

It was like I had never been to a tool store before, Holy Cow! If you dont find something you need or want, well I never! Amazing tools of all sorts. And interesting people, people starting out with ideas, dreamers an craftsmen and their fathers. Exciting and fun.

I was really impressed with the friendliness and level of customer service of the staff, especially at a store many think of as a discount or bargain retailer. Tammy, who helped me out, was wonderful, and found the exact product, a steel flatbed cart, to fit my needs. I heard her seeking out and helping several other customers while I was in the store. While I was shopping, I overheard another employee assisting a customer by speaking Spanish, which really seemed to be going above and beyond when it comes to customer service. I was very impressed with the value for my dollar with the products I got, as well as the high level of customer service. Ill definitely be shopping here again!

Usually very happy with Harbor Freight. Tonight, Northern Tool beat them big time. Northern sells a 3/8 9200 lb load binder for $27.99. Harbor sells the same exact binder for $42.99. Asked supervisor at Harbor if theyd price match, she said No, we dont price match. Sorry Harbor Freight, I had to go to Northern Tool this time.

Harbor Freight in Bloomington, MN was nice. Had to drive just over an hour to get there, but they had what I needed. Associates were nice and know where the stuff I needed was. Cleaner and more organize than the St Cloud, MN Harbor Freight. I had to go to Bloomington store because the St. Cloud store said they didnt have the item I wanted. When I asked if any of the other stores had the item. See. Cloud store said NO, nobody had them. Yet when I called Bloomington store they had 7. I bought 2 and will be back for more

Been buying from harbor freight since it was only catalog for us. This is a very nice store in particular given the usual store placement. Not the best area but not horrible. Staff was friendly and helpful. Regular customer.

I appreciate an associate standing at the door, willing to direct me to the isle I need. It makes for quick in and out trips. I have found the prices to vary competitively, usually they are pretty good though.

One of my favorite tool and man stuff stores. This is a newer location, nice and clean. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Huge selection of tools, workshop, mechanic, automotive, sanding, painting, consumables, welding equipment, jacks, too many to list!

Had exactly what I was looking for. Stopped at 6 other places that “sold tools” haha they didnt. Harbor Freight had what I needed. They staff was awesome when they noticed I was lost and directed me to where I needed to be. Even though this place is 40 minutes from home. It will be my first stop next time.

Driven a couple of people there but never went in and they never shared what kind of place it was. So when I drove a friend there today and he invited me to go in too, I gladly went. Store was spotless and floor was shiny clean and with winter thaw happening thats hard. Multiple people gave me attention from saying hello and goodbye to asking if I was finding everything ok. They tend to offer several different options to choose between. Would say that its a handyman type store. Very good energy and vibes. Stop here before Menards or Walmart definitely check it out once. Might be the first or second 5 star Ive ever done in a few years doing this.

Cheap tools for cheap price

I really like this place, they have a really good tool selection and their prices are very reasonable. Now I am a believer in the addage you get what you pay for, but some of their tools work better than you expect!!

I think harbor freight has some really good deals on their tools.sometimes you cant beat the prices there for what you buy and what you need you have probably every tool that you can possibly use.

A week ago I stopped in and spent over $70, including some nitrile gloves. This week the gloves went on sale for $2 off per package, so I stopped in and receive a refund since I have the original receipt copy of the ad. Nice. The register line got A bit long, a minute later there were three registers open and the lines were down to one person each. When I need some tools, Ill be back.

Great store. Awesome staff helped me find what I went there to get. The cashier even told me how to Google up a 20% off coupon and get a free item with my purchase. She scanned the coupon on my phone. I signed up for free coupons via email and USPS. Definitely going back to get more tools!

Tons of variety, clean and well laid out, staff was friendly. All products are brands you have never heard of though, so not sure about quality. I cant say its good or bad.

Love the small electronic tools. Love the weed sacked and the multitool and drill and the cordless screwdriver.

Lots of handy stuff you could find at this store I needed some work gloves and ended up purchasing a little more but everything seemed to workout will definitely be back again.

Decent store, had something in stock I couldnt find at my local store because it was a hot, quick selling item. I giving them 4 stars because they had trouble figuring out how I could exchange something that I bought less than a week earlier at another store that ran out. They had trouble I think because I used a coupon, dont they sell most of their stuff by coupon?? Anyways then they said I had to pay 2 cents for some reason, I was perplexed, luckily they found 2 pennies left on the counter they could use. The staff was nice and helpful.

All Made in china.... It works, better then nothing... Would I use there tools for 10+ hours day? NO! But if your hobbyist or homeowner, or low on funds its fine.
