Im a new homeowner, and whenever I come into this location, the staff are always super helpful and knowledgeable. I picked 5/5 stars, but keep in mind: I dont go online to post a review every time a store or company does a 5/5 star job. I only feel compelled to leave a google review when the service and selection is like 10/5. This Ace Hardware store is really that good.

Ordered a grill online and selected the option to have delivered on Saturday. Email confirmation confirmed that it would be delivered on Friday. On Friday we didnt hear anything so we called the store and the guy confirmed that the owners would come in in the morning and call to make sure we were home before they delivered. Saturday a little after noon we decided to call and check. The woman that answered the phone said oh you called yesterday? The guy you talked to said you would call today and he says hes sorry but we dont actually deliver on Saturdays. So we go to pick up the grill and it doesnt fit in the car. The guy named Mike was honestly the most helpful in this situation, he offered to load it into his truck and delivered it and helped us hook it up. Ended in an okay story but there are so many times where employees here could have done just a little bit better to right the situation. If you dont deliver on Saturdays, take the option on your website. If your website has a glitch CALL US and figure it out. Our phone number was printed on the sheet taped to the grill right under the delivery date.

Got what I needed, but the store was not that busy. Picked up screws for building a bathroom...I clearly had no idea what I was looking for and passed several employees just standing there. No one offered to help, and they all looked miserable. I had to ask. Probably will go to a different location next time.

My husband just bought a lawn mower and some other items for our lawn and he came home happy about the customer service he received! Instead of telling me about him buying the lawnmower he wanted he told me first about the service he recieved. Based on what he mentioned the customer service at this location is amazing! They answered all his questions without any hurry (store was almost closing) since it was his first time purchasing a lawn mower. They even put the lawn mower in our trunk along with the other items he purchased. Thank you!.

Everyone was nice. But you do not have what I need. Parts for my wheelbarrow. Sad, because it comes in parts for $103.00, I have to put it together myself. But you dont Sells all parts separately.

That old timey hardware store in 2021. This us the place to go if you need hardware help. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and most importantly there in store.If you need a mower or grill they have plenty and you can check them out hands on. Not suspended on shelfs from the ceiling. If you like to research stuff before making a purchase, this is the place for you.

Greeted the moment I entered the store by friendly associates. They helped me locate the snow blower I was looking for right away and even asked if I wanted to wait for them to assemble it. I skipped out on the assembly as I can do it and enjoy putting tools together anyways. Checking out was a breeze and my cashier was nice, we discussed some fun stuff as she ranged out my new toys!

I did not like to be followed. I walked around the store (an employee from the store followed me almost the entire time until someone asked him for help. )found what i needed. I paid for the item and then an employee followed me to the parking lot and asked me if I was going to pay for the item. In a very mean and unpleasant way like if I was stealing the item.

Helpful place, and if they dont offer the service or product you need theyll tell you where you can find it.

Yes, they are more expensive on a lot of things. Theyre not the right place to go for everything, but their service is simply unmatched. If youre in a hurry or youre getting name brand power equipment (thats exactly the same price at Home Depot), its worth coming here.

Fantastic service and great selection. When you walk in the door you are immediately greeted and asked what youre looking for by a staff that seems to have every square inch of the place and every product in it memorized. Very friendly, always helpful, this is a terrific neighborhood hardware store.

They had what I needed and the price was worth not having to drive to a box store. Saved me about 45 minutes on the job. Cashier was pleasant too and the staff was attentive as usual.

This is my go-to hardware store. The staff is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. They have an extensive list of services that they offer as well. Had them re-screen a couple of screens for me and they did an awesome job. I’ve purchased my Weber gas grill and my Toro lawn mower from them. Can’t beat the convenience and service! The grill was delivered for free to my garage!

The Ace Hardware in Bloomington MN is a fun and friendly place to do some quick shopping for those home improvements. Or just to have a key made. The owner and employees are great guys and gals. Friendly, helpful. And always ready to answer any questions you might have. Pertaining to plumbing, to a door latch. Stop in and say hi. They always have some good deals on seasonal products.

Very difficult to maneuver the store more recently... Lots of STUFF blocking ailes and most of newer staff unhelpful. Had one older male clerk got really snotty with me at checkout because he was obviously too interested in watching his game on TV. In past year have had good reason to complain to customer service on 3 occasions. They always promised a call from store manager but none ever came, much less either change or genuine apology. I was there on opening day and loyal many years; but now just avoid this store.

Just moved to the area, and I can literally walk to Ace Hardware. The staff is absolutely amazing!... friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I will definitely make this my #1 hardware store! Small store packed full of just about everything. Not always the best price but reasonable, and MUCH quicker in/out. They carry obscure things the bigger stores dont. Super helpful/friendly staff.

I called this store (5/28/20 @6:18pm) to ask about making a copy of a key and the man who answered was so incredibly rude and when I tried to answer one of his questions he bluntly cut me off mid sentence and said “You’ll just have to come in. Thank you” and immediately hung up on me. I work in customer service and that is NOT acceptable behavior.

I went to Walmart and Home Depot but they all gave me the same answer “we don’t fix broken keys” but Frank was very welcoming and got the job done! Wish I could give a 10/5!

Very helpful staff with a large selection of items. This place is a lot larger than what seem from driving by. Many people may not realize they expanded.

Old fashioned service, what was just the way it was.... if you had the initiative to tackle a project and had a how-to, what hidden what-ifs might pop-up, you could trust there was a guy - or and now a gal - your questions would be taken seriously and respectfully - no matter how (after the fact) elementary it is and the answers did not include an up-sell and were honestly from a spirit of truly being helpful. My recent visits did not disappoint - same Ole Ace hardware.Im glad and will be back.

The staff here is incredibly kind and helpful! I am not very knowledgeable about hardware things, so coming into these kinds of stores is often an overwhelming experience for me. Each time I have visited, though, the staff has not talked down to me, and they have been awesome with helping me find just what Im looking for! They may cost more than Home Depot or Menards, but to me, the excellent customer service I receive is well-worth the higher price.

Living within walking distance is more than just a bonus. There have been several times where I have needed something urgently and they have a great selection. Just today my boiler that went out leaving my house steadily dropping in temperature. I went to Shurail HVAC to find a thermocouple but somehow what they specialized in, they didnt have it unfortunately. Instead while getting supplies to keep troubleshooting my boiler, I asked if they had thermocouples and sure enough they had a different model of Honeywell thermocouple that is now in my fired-up boiler working perfectly. The employees are all very helpful and I will always keep coming back when I can.

I like this place! Recommendations from the staff are helpful and honest. Best of all they know their merchandise and often save me money.

We purchased a high end electric start Toro snow blower in October 2018. We paid to have it delivered and scheduled a time. After two calls on the next two days it was finally deliver.The first time we went to use it we found it was not fully assembled and was missing the nits and bolts that hold on the chute.I had to make a trip to the store to get the missing parts and had to pay for them.The second snow a week later, it kept stalling so we took it in. The service department said it was bad gas, New gas can with premier non oxygenated gas with Stabile. We brought it home for it to do the same thing. I called and requested they send someone out to pick it up and was told it would be a $50 charge round trip. I will NEVER do business with them again.
