I always had a great experience there. Now I wont be able to as the bloomington location is now PERMANENTLY CLOSED. Which of course you dont know until you get there because the store is still saying open online. That is what I dont like now

I called a week ago and was advised of a game you had on PS5, I was out and about so I decided to see if its still available. I called while I was on my way and was asked if I could get placed on a brief hold, I said sure. I drove 13 minutes and arrived to the location while still on hold. Walked in and an employee was just standing behind the counter in the far back while the other was working, Im certain she was the one that answered the phone. I walked around the store for a few while still on hold and she still just stood in the back on a computer, I was curious if she was going to come back so I just hung up and let it go. After browsing I hopped in line, after standing next in line for 30 minutes or so because the person in front of me had a large transaction and some sort of issues with their transaction it was finally my turn. They were having issues with their card reader which I understand isnt their fault but they continued to greet people entering the store for 20+ minutes without saying anything before putting a Cash Only sign on the door. I had already wasted over an hour for a single movie so I ran over to Hy-Vee to get cash back. Yes, Im aware these are troubling times, dont respond with the same copy & paste you responded to everyone else with. The employees could have handled this a LOT better and more professionally.

Good stock of old games and tech. But if I had a dollar for every time Ive called this place and ask if they had a product only to show up and them not have it Jeff Bezos would be working for me. Also the staff dont know anything. Got hired because they look like nerds but are not in reality. So do your own research before entering.

Enjoy going here, mostly for nostalgia...the employees have always been pleasant to deal with. Stock is on the low side for decent games, but probably because of Covid and people being stuck at home.

I just got done having my second visit with the manager that was supposed to be assisting me with Pops. The first time they were doing inventory I asked her to see one of them she left it on the counter let me see it and then went back to rearranging THE POPS soeasier to grab different ones that I wanted to ask her about instead of totally ignoring me and asking who the manager was home turned out to be her.Now today not being busy let me see two of them and left me with the one possibly would have bought if she hadnt walked away from me again me and pop on the counter alone standing there. And walking off again and never came back this is the manager and its ridiculous.

We are about a half hour drive from this place. We had visited before to sell some items about a month ago. It was a great experience then. There were a couple things we said we wanted to bring in next time and inquired about things like the vive and if they took it. They said they did and gave a rough price of like 500 for it. We thought awesome, even was planning to use that as store credit for a couple things we saw. We will get it over there as soon as we could. So My husband went in earlier today and his experience was awful. My husband went by himself to be sell the vive. He just didnt use it anymore and wanted to get an oculus 2 after seeing a family member with one. He goes in and they say they wont take it. He tells them we were told last time they do take it, so they said they called corporate and told my husband they would be making an exception. They said it could be a bit since they other people ahead of him. That was no problem as we expected some wait time anyway as we did last time we visited. He looked around and we were talking about items we may want to use store credit for. He had questions on a few items and the worker had no idea about any of the items we were interested, for example the tablets. Nearly 3 hours later they tell him they wont take the vive because they couldnt get their system to test it. This took 4 hours out of his day for them to tell us corporate made an exception to then tell us hours later they wont take it. We are both very upset with this as it was clear these people had no idea what they were doing, werent very helpful, and didnt know about items they even had in the store. We are definitely filing a complaint on this.

Its great. Decent selection and they seem to always have the buy 5 get the 6th free deal going so I always nab several movies and/or games when Im there.

Refused to sell me a $11 game because I didnt have a Id card while using my debit card. No signs up or a anything to notify a person of this. Now if I was spending a larger amount I could see this but $11 game??? Nor did this crack head have a name tag on or anything! Screw this place

This is the place to find games for older gaming systems like Game Cube, Sega Genesis, Atari, GameBoy and others. Also they have TONS of used DVDS and BlueRays.

Would not allow me to trade in an old game console despite having a valid state id. The manager (who did not have on a nametag either) did not explain why nor did he allow me to speak to anyone else. Thank goodness there is a gamestop nearby!

Just got scammed by mega replay bought the used COD cold war which yesterday, found out while I was installing it the game was not available bon the disk but it prompted my concole to buy the online version instead costing $63.00 instead of the $43.49 I just paid for it that I cant get back because they have a only in store credit policy. This is my second bad experience at that store now Im stuck with store credit that I may not use. Anyone want to buy for $5 off

Pretty good stuff most the time, unfortunately when I went they didnt have much of anything. Im happy their still in business, hopefully they return to Springfield.

I bought a bunch of stuff here. Consoles work fine and everything but the game discs and movie discs are awful. They dont clean or buffer the scratches out. They dont test the games. I was trying to play wii sports and it just doesnt work. Other games work in it. But I was kinda upset. Its an okay store a lot of stuff but check the disc before you buy anything.

Went in and brought in 4 ps4 games and a couple xbox games and got a store credit of 50 bucks. Shopped around, only a few people in. Employees enforce mask mandates upon entry. Was able to walk around with a stroller and have no problems getting through. Always go to mega replay over game stop.

Always stop buy for dvds n games. Always friendly n great prices.

Stop by every time I’m in town. Iv spent a fair bit in here like some reviews say prices are hit or miss. I check every price with items that sold on eBay and have found some great deals. Like most stores they give next to nothing for items witch is normal. I only trade stuff that’s the profit margin is so low it’s not worth my time.

Ive been there about 6 times and my latest visit ended poorly.Was lectured about their policy because I asked for an exchange a few minutes after a purchase I made. I realized a cosmetic flaw.Yes, my fault for not being observant. I guess I was a high maintenance customer.Maybe your pricing could fluctuate with varying levels of condition?This stuff is cheaper online, Im afraid.Im trying to support local businesses but Im debating if I will come back now that Im left with a bad aftertaste.

This was an absolutely horrible experience, I was recommended this place by friends, so i drove an hour to this store from where i live. I found plenty of items i was looking for but unfortunately my card was charged twice. They did fix this but as i got home an hour away. I went to go test my games out to make sure they worked and NONE of them were in the cases. So i called to see what they can do for me for the inconvenience and the store manager said there is nothing they can do for me besides drive back and hour to pick them up and they couldn’t even mail them to me due to policy. What a big joke! Highly don’t recommend shopping here.

I have been shopping here for years, and it feels like the store has taken a nose dive in the last couple of months. The customer service has become really rough; seems like some of the leadership doesnt want to be there, and frankly didnt want me there. They now take far less stuff, give less in trade, charge more for many of their products, and have started selling new products at really high prices. The books are no longer BOGO, and the prices have gone up. I understand the place needs to make money, so I can understand if they had to change for the market, but what once felt like a cool local place that shared the love, is now a cold and distant expensive resale store.

While they have a very wide selection, pricing can be hit and miss. Sometimes a great value and other times not much cheaper than new product.

I went there a couple weeks ago to get a game and when I got home I realized they had accidentally put the wrong game in the case. I called them and was able to take it back the next week and they switched it out

Staff are helpful and have a good sense of humor, I pretty much always leave with a smile on my face. Everything they sell is good quality and theyre willing to work with you to find the right product for you.

Im usually very impressed with this place. However, I brought in a $120 Keurig that was barely used and they were only able to give me $38 for it. As well a Magic Bullet Blender with 2 cups (which was what it originally came with in the box) but they said since it wasnt the full set and that they cant take it.

Nice staff. Decent prices has a better feel than game stop but less of a selection of games. Movies, books, bored games, collectors items and more make it worth the trip though. Deffently worth checking out

Better than Game stop, in my opinion. You never get a whole lot back from either places, but MR has deals every so often that are worthwhile. Never had a damaged game and only once received the wrong one, was fixed quickly without questions. Good place to go for games.

I went in to return an Xbox One S. I bought a week ago from this place and was not impressed. The previous associate told me I would have thirty days to return it for a full refund if I were to return it. Upon coming in I was greeted rudely to start and was told it was not part of their policy to offer this refund. If you’re going to implement a policy make sure each associate is on board, and not contradicting yourselves.

Staff friendly but no extended holiday warranty, so they lost a few sales from me.

They sell games such as rock band, controls with pieces missing and when you take it back they argue about getting full refund.Now that is some ratchet kind of hustle.If that is your way of making sales good job.Maybe you should run for politics in Illinois. Bought my son a game and it would crashed I returned it but they only would give me store credit so my son picked another game out and we returned it because it was missing a disc. He managed to find a couple Old games but we still have store credit and I just threw money down the toilet because we will not be back.

I took a head set in to trade and they told me they couldnt take it cause they couldnt get sound to come out of them but they do work and I also went home and hooked them back up and they still work sound is loud and clear also when I was given back my headphones these guys didnt even have the volume turned up on them also they were very rude when I asked if they turned the volume up and acted like they to smart to maybe forget to do that. I will never bring anything to them to sell or buy any of there over priced things

Frustrating to call about a Super Nintendo for my son and they had one and I told them I was driving 45 minutes to get it if they could hold but they said they don’t do holds. Got there and it sold. All I got was a sorry. Not knocking the company as a whole as I do enjoy shopping at the Peoria location but certainly frustrating they wouldn’t go the extra mile in Bloomington.

One of the only used electronics and gaming stores in town. Prices are OK. online definitely has better deals but its quicker to pick something up in person. They do carry kitchen appliances and some instruments but their prices on those are not very competitive.

Staff is only helpful and friendly when you go to the counter. They hardly ever greet me when I walk in or offer help if Im searching for something. Ive have had only once been assisted away from the counter here.

I went in to sell and was given a price that was low, which I expected. The problem was they told me they would assess my item and call me up when finished. I waited 45 min and noticed they hadnt looked at it. When I asked, they told me I could leave it and a phone number and come back. After calling me with the low price, I returned to retrieve my console and got home to find there was no controller. After calling and being told I didnt bring one in, I returned to reclaim my controller. He told me I could have one for the sake of arguement and handed me one with clear damage, which I did not notice until I got home for the second time. When I requested my extra long cord, I brought in with it, he told me they didnt get a cord either. He then returned to where my console was sitting and found the cord. Still have a visibly damaged controller and not the original!

Usually helpful and fairly understanding for purchases and returns. Will shortchange you for rare merchandise due to limited local market, then turn around and sell it at full expected price, otherwise fair secondhand prices.

This place is a rip off tbh. Brought three Xbox one games in to sell and got only $14 from all three in store credit.. had I chose cash it would’ve only been $11. I chose store credit and got a game only to get home and realize I had yet again bought a broken game. This isn’t the first time I’ll have to return a game without getting to even try it out. Would much recommend game stop instead.. never had issues with them

I have been going here for years their movie selection is decent they have new movies as soon as they come out and have a decent amount of older movies. Price on movies are good I dont rent games so unsure about that end.

Terrible, inconsiderate, condescending, and lazy employees. I’m standing here in plain view of all employees waiting to be helped with a purchase. She has made eye contact with me numerous times and I’ve said excuse me to get their attention but she couldn’t be bothered from just standing there doing nothing. I’ve been a long time patron of this place and I’m not expecting special treatment. I just want to make a purchase and I had some questions concerning my items. Wow, never again...I would rather take my business to GameSpot where at least they don’t treat me like I’m bothering them.

They have a huge selection of used games for most consoles, Xbox, xbox one, all the PlayStation consoles, super and regular nes. Books, almost any movie you can think of, and their prices are really good. If your looking for something new to read or play or even occupy some time, this is a good place to go.
