It was my first time in the store and first time actually getting something. The staff was helpful, easy to work with, answered all my questions, gave great suggestions, and the manager was super nice and happy. We ended up having a long conversation about all kinds of things. Im going to have to start coming here more often.

This was the friendliest Microsoft store I have ever been to! The staff truly just wanted to answer questions- not push anything on you. They were willing to set up demos of products they didnt have set up yet, and gave us lots of good advice. We also happened to walk in when they were giving away free pizza, figurines, and raffling off prizes/playing Trivia for the Minecraft 10 year Anniversary, and the staff was really getting into it and having fun with everyone.

I loved this store, it was a really fun place to be with all the different things you could do. If you enjoy being around tech then this is the place to be in the mall. Everyone was so nice, they all had good advice and input on different products. They are also very involved with their community, they have gaming competitions every weekend where they give away gift cards as prizes. Overall a really fun place to be, and where I spent most my time the weekend I was at the mall.

Employee was knowledgeable and friendly. He helped me plead my case to my husband about needing a Surface Pro. Lol. We didnt buy it that day (still saving up for it) but it was awesome to see in action and how much it can do. The employee was super thorough in explaining the docking system and the keyboard, and everything else. I wish I remembered his name. The store itself is laid out well to browse. Great experience!

The staff was great. They seemed to hover just out of you area and ask from a distance if you need help. I actually like this because most of the time I dont so if they are not in my face I can very easily say no thanks and dont feel like I am blowing someone off. This time however I did need help and as soon as I said yes he was there and had some great input.

Went here to test out the surface hub, in person, before purchasing. After demoing it for 30 seconds was told very rudely that the product was just to be use as a power point for internal store purposes. When I explained to her that I just wanted to test its touch capability and features I was asked to leave the store. Won’t be back. Very poor customer service when looking to buy a nearly $10k product.We”ll continue to use 3rd party products over Microsoft for our entire office. I won’t be retuning here anytime soon. 10/10 don’t recommend.

Outstanding service. Jamie was very helpful up beat professional and prompt. Had an issue with both the console and controller and just swapped it out workouts any fuss (I had the console for all of two days so you expect it but few places these days just take care of business). Highly recommend this store.

A fine way to test out new products from Microsoft. They strategically placed themselves access the hall from the Apple store which was already there.... Which I think was a very confident maneuver indeed!Stop by and play some Xbox and see what the latest and greatest developments with PC laptops are!

I absolutely loved that place, and not for the reasons that most people would be thinking .I am 74 years old and I had my grandson with me who loves computers and he brought me into that store. They have many different computer setup that you can sit down and try. The Mall of America has obviously removed almost all of the seating.so with the comfortable seating in your store we could try out the computers, and when the day comes that I replace mine, your store will be on the top of the list.

Prompt, professional, and courteous service. I came in for a basic reboot, I came in an hour before my appointment (cause I forgot). They helped me right away. The tech even postponed his lunch (already late at 2:30) just to make sure I was helped.

Purchased a controller with apparently a 25 dollar online gift card promo. My son registered the gift card, but was under the impression he could only use it in store. We arrived at the Microsoft store and immediately find out that the gift card expired four days earlier through the due diligence of Daniel. He went ahead and replaced the gift cards although they were actually for online use only. He was wonderful and pleasant. Bravo.

This is where the cool kids are at, unlike that crazy town store across the hall. :)If you want to hang and play Xbox for a while to take a shopping break, this is the place.They have all the accessories you hear about but finally get to touch and try them out like the sweet mice and keyboards.

Can I just say that I am blown away by the service that I received from Claudio when I went to this store. I walked in and was not greeted upon entrance, as a matter of fact there were a couple of workers standing around having a conversation who did not acknowledge me at all. However, Claudio was greeting customers on the opposite side of the store from where I was located and walked up to me with a smile and a warm greeting. I initially told him that I was just looking, however, after I told him what I was looking for I was convinced that I would be buying my computer from him that day. He was so helpful and although I felt a bit indecisive he was patient with me. Thank you Claudio for your help and if I need any help, or decide to purchase another computer anytime soon you are DEFINITELY the guy I am coming to look for!

Ive purchased three laptops here over the last 5 years. Always received good service, patience for my deliberate and detailed purchasing habits. Im very tech savvy and technology aware.The Microsoft Signature Edition of all their devices (which means clean Windows install without all that useless bloatware) makes computer setup so much easier.I highly recommend at least going here to try out computers, even if you end up buying online.

This place gave me the best service of any computer store I have ever been to. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. The only downside to this store is that it is in the Mall of America which sucks to go to if you are a local. The service however does overcome the mall experience location. I would highly recommend this store based on my experience.

Employees at the front are very unfriendly. They often have something cool to draw you into the store, but multiple times they have been rude when you want to try it out. Once it was because my daughter touched the robot to take selfies with. Today I was trying out this immersive video game chair and the employee was rude because he didn’t like that I touched the buttons to adjust the chair. Seems to be a pattern here.

Went in for an issue with my surface pro and the tech was so helpful and was able to replace the whole thing. He was super nice and a joy to work with. I love my surface pro and this was the only time I’ve had any problems with it. Highly recommend this place. Side note: Parents this place is not a daycare! Lol.

This place is great so long as youre not buying a Windows Phone. They clearly arent used to selling them. I think we were tossed between 4 different people to get signed up on a new contract. Otherwise theyre always helpful and the computers they sell without the added bloatware are a good deal.

I purchased a refurbished surface book from the Microsoft store online. This store was able to help me RETURN IT specifically for the purposes of trading in my old computer and REPURCHASING the surface book utilizing credit from the old computer. That was 17 months ago. Recently, that surface book died. I didnt know it was dead yet, and so I scheduled an appointment and brought my computer in. Being that it was purchased 12 months ago, it was out of warranty. They STILL replaced my computer. My computer was a base model, which they did not have in stock, so they gave me one with MORE MEMORY. I appreciate them immensely as I am a college student and could NOT be without my computer. Thank you Microsoft store, you saved my life.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Had an older tablet with an issue, they gave me the no b.s. assessment. Ended up having up completely wipe the machine, but the problem was fixed and it took under an hour. They have an online appointment scheduling system, very helpful if you have a time constraint. Will gladly return if I have future issues, or to buy a new device.

Stephan did an excellent job with helping me replace my Xbox One X that had been having issues such as random games crashing, freezing, and not powering on. I highly recommend stopping into the Microsoft store to resolve any issues you may be having with your system instead of dealing with customer support over the phone. All employees at this location were very knowledgeable and helpful.

Friendly staff. Busy location being in the Mall of America. Things in there are appropriately priced. Wont find disc-based Xbox One games in there. Plenty of downloadable games to purchase though. They also have plenty of Surface laptops to test out & Xbox gaming stations for the kids. Definitely worth a visit.

They have cool chairs. Otherwise it is just a Apple Store copy with a VR station, which isnt bad. Be warned they offer Huawei products, which take that as you will (clearly Im not a fan). Oh and they do have a cool robot that greets you and takes pictures. They also host tournaments, which is pretty cool, but I didnt get to experience those.

With multiple issues with a new tablet and my phone, (some involving Microsoft software and some not), I was overjoyed to walk out of the store with every one solved and my devices working with flying colors. I believe it was Nicole who had the expertise, patience (with me), and helpful, friendly attitude that made me a fan (again) of the amazing customer service in the store. I recommend this store to one and all. When you walk in, there is always someone to greet you and find out how they can help, and get you directed to the right place.

After a heavy discussion, we decided to take the 3 hour drive to test the Surface Hub before purchasing. My business partner made it to the store before I did. After a few moments in the store, and testing the product for less than a minute an employee scolded him for doodling, Ive never heard a graph refereed to as a doodle but okay. After explaining further to the employee what he was testing she asked him to leave the store. Whether your show up in jeans and a business hoodie, or a full suit you should ALWAYS treat ALL customers the same you never know whos walking in ready to purchase a $9,000+ product. Thank you Manager Sam and employee who refused to share their name for saving us some money this weekend. Our business will continue to use third party products. Said Manager and employee could use formal training on proper customer service.

A great retail space! With a small event space in the back (,which you can use for approx. 20-25 people...talk to the event manager. Microsoft runs events there (A LinkedIn event, Black History Month, Womens events etc.)...check the MOA(Bloomington) on the website to see the events. Theres also a big gaming area. A big Surface area(SurfaceBooks etc...you can customize with your own needs (business, gaming,design etc.). The sales associates were all very well versed in technology/enterprise sales.Great Customer Experience!

Let me begin by simply saying that I have had nothing but exceptional service from The Microsoft Store. I had heard of the store and had a continuing problem with our computers being unable to accomplish a certain task. I made an appointment at the Microsoft Store online and went there the following day. My first impression was very positive. Associates both greeted and attempted to help you immediately.. I said I had an appointment and they quickly looked it up and got me started with DD. She had not seen this problem before but immediately her fingers were flying over the keyboard looking for solutions and after a great deal of effort, she found the problem, fixed it on that computer and lo and behold, all of my other devices worked as well. To say the least, I was delighted and even more delighted that this wonderful service is complementary. I told her about a problem that I was having with another machine that would not load Windows but went right into repair mode. She told me that they had a repair station at the Microsoft Store as well. I was not aware of that. I brought it in the next day and left it for diagnostics. A couple of days later they called and told me that it was a bad hard drive and that I would have to purchase and bring them a new one. I did this. A few days later they called to say that the computer was repaired and that they had recovered all the music, photos and documents. I was ecstatic. Further, they re-installed Windows 8 for me (this had been a Windows 7 originally), installed Windows 8.1 that I had been unable to download due to some glitch and they re-installed my Office 2013. Adam and Shawn did a wonderful job. I have had nothing but outstanding service and experience at The Microsoft Store. I should also mention that the repairs were extremely reasonable. I dont even want to think what Best Buy might have charged.

Went in there to ask about the XBOne Elite controller. Wanted to check out a display, wasnt actually expecting them to have any in stock. Erik told me that another customer was using the regular display model, but quickly found another one for me to play around with. He warned me that he didnt think they had any in stock, but checked on it for me anyway. When I found out that it cost $150, there was definitely some sticker-shock... But it turned out they had one in stock, so I counted how much cash I had on me, checked my bank account balance on my phone, and then I said I wanted to buy it. Then, Erik asked me like 2-3 times if I was sure I wanted to buy it, and when I was like yeah dude, lets do it, he then said Okay awesome, I just wanted to make sure you didnt feel like you were being pressured to buy it or anything.^ That right there is good customer service. Im used to salespeople taking advantage of the customer at every opportunity they get. Nothing made me feel more relaxed and cared about than Erik double checking to make sure that I wasnt feeling pressured into a purchase that I didnt feel great about.Erik for President.

Was not impressed with how long it took just to find someone to answer a simple question. Wanted to know if they could do an exchange. After trying to find the write code to navigate the automated system and reaching 2 people in the process, my answer was I had to go to the store regardless. For me, it is not horrible to go to the store, but it will save me a considerable amount of time, energy, and gas to have the answer before hand.

The Microsoft store is kind of similar to the Apple store in that it has a freeform set up where you can mess with a variety of products. Unfortunately, it is also similar to the Apple store in that it is totally unclear how to request help or check out. It took us a few minutes of walking around to find somebody to help us check out and retrieve a pick up order we placed.I think this is more of an issue with the concept than it is with the staff (they were all super friendly once we got somebodys attention).

You can try about every item that they sell.The people that work there are really nice. and it depends what you like like if you are more in to apple then you wont like it as much and you should go to the apple store right across but i am a Microsoft person and i thought it was grate.

Nicole was great. She listened to what I wanted in a phone. I gave her a short list of phones that I was considering. She explained the differences/advantages for each in a language that I could understand. Answered all of my questions. Highly recommend the store.

Note: this might have a higher rating if I was more interested in computers. There are a large variety of Microsoft computers, game systems, VR, big panels, etc. on display. There are genius people to help out just like in an Apple store. The game area was filled with people playing but tour time is limited. (No charge to play.). There was a VR unit simulating a race car - there was only one unit at the time so there was a wait to try it. Very helpful staff.

Completely bummed out. I bought a surface book a couple years ago and their customer service was top notch. I went back to get a new computer because Ive been having some glitches with my surface and i was ignored. Finally after a half hour, one guy grudgingly asked if i had questions. I did and he answered my questions although it felt like he had somewhere to go. I then reviewed my options and when I was read to buy, i walked to the counter to be helped. There were 3 associates who could have helped me but apparently i was invisible because i was completely ignored. I stood there for 20 minutes with no reaction from the associates and finally walked out. Apparently, they dont like customers who are ready to spend $1,500 on a laptop plus accessories. They lost my business now and in the future.

Im actually an Apple guy my self, but because of how welcoming and unbelievably nice the staff is, in the store, it makes you love to be in there. Store is very bright and colorful and makes you feel like a kid again, in a candy store. Not to mention how awesome the Xboxs are!

Today was the first time that Id ever set foot into a Microsoft Store (I needed to update a brand new Xbox One S Id recently purchased). The staff was friendly and helpful. The gentleman that greeted me upon arrival offered me a beverage (I opted for a bottled water) and the other gentleman (Byron) promptly provided me with all of the tools I needed to update my Xbox.

Im not an Apple Fab but you can. at least tell the where the customer service is better with the Apple Store being so full of people and the windows store with barely no one in there. I have been in this store twice to fix a type cover issue with my surface pro 3. Both times the staff was so courteous and excited to help me. Along with the type cover issue, my surface was having trouble with internet connectivity in Windows 10. They tried everything they could before realizing it was a hardware issue and they replaced my surface at no cost to me. They bring out water and pop for you while the technicians are working on your device. Such a great customer service experience. Shout out to Taylor! He was the customer service/technician rep that helped me and he was wonderful.

Really fun place with a large selection of computers. Obvious rip off of an apple store but honestly I think that is why I enjoyed myself so much. No need to reinvent the wheel! Yeah ok everything was top dollar... But when you are just window shopping for a later purchase? The workers were far more knowledgeable and far less pretentious than the apple store next door

Poorly run. Wanted to try out the Oculus Rift S to see if the IPD would work with my eyes. The staff was too lazy to turn it on for 5 minutes, and told me to come back tomorrow. Good job kids, you turned away a potential 400 dollar sale.
