Never a bad experience. I started going here a year ago when I moved into the neighborhood and I have not ever regretted it.I would give some specific shout outs, but I dont know really any of the employees names, nor do I think any of them should be excluded from a shout out. Theyre all great.

Wonderful local independent coffeeshop and meeting spot. Had a great lunch special of tomato soup and grilled cheese as swing music played at a perfect volume as the rain nurtured the flowers. Staff was personal, feuebdly and awesome.

Ordered a cappuccino. What I got was a big cup of hot milk without any foam and a few drops of coffee. Oh and I stood there for 20 min while the barista did everything but make my coffee...it wasnt even busy.

Best lattesThey put monkey stickers over the cups covers hole.Many different monkeys.The the happy monkeys now cover the steering wheel hubs on wife’s car and mine.

I love that they have numerous gluten free options! Usually, coffee shops just have one option for GF eaters, but they have breakfast sandwiches, donuts, and muffins (all of which are delicious). Ive tried multiple drinks here, and Ive always enjoyed them--especially their lattes. Would recommend this place!

Ive had a little of everything over the past few months and its all so delicious! So far, the latte, cold press, and cafe au lait have been my favorite drinks. I also just had their breakfast sandwich--so tasty. All the staff has been really friendly, too. Will be exciting to finally go inside when COVID is over :)

An inviting, very comfortable coffee shop. Delicious coffee, tea, refreshment, breakfast and lunch items. Warm, friendly service and several big, oversized chairs to sink into near the fireplace. Even a drive through! West Side Park has it all!

Absolutely wonderful ladies. Their hospitality and comfort goes above and beyond what normal customer service I get anywhere else. Cindy makes an effort to talk to everyone and is genuinely interested in talking to them!Oh, and their coffee? The best I’ve ever had.

Cozy little place. I had a whole milk latte and it was delicious. Sat by the fireplace waiting and enjoyed the ambience this morning. I will be stopping again soon.

Grateful that they have Gluten Free options! My son enjoyed his GF breakfast sandwich and Maple coconut milk latte. My american was okay, not great, espresso was to acidic for my taste, but my breakfast sandwich was terrific and well be back!

Coffee is great, but the smoothies are even better! They have a few different choices as far as food an drink, but Ive yet to try most of them. Service isnt bad either, but I never go during peak hours).

I order from here a lot via foodsby at work, always great food! Just went into the physical store for the first time today, very cozy, its what coffee shops SHOULD be, not giant pits of glowing laptop screens and overoworked baristas giving battlecries for half-caf-chai-soy-lattes. Its quiet, but familiar, and with an air of neighborhood charm. Definitely will visit again!! Try their wraps 🤤

I have been here many times and have always had a great experience... both with the owner and employees.... and no I am related nor do know anyone who works there. If fact this is a favorite spot for teens I know when the want to gather.

Just ordered a crepe from here and it was not good at all. The crepes are premade and then microwaved. The drink we ordered had an abnormally bitter after taste. Staff was friendly and place is nice.

Bagel was a floppy piece of mess and in pieces, they dont put the cream cheese on the bagel so the little container is not enough to cover it. Tough to chew, like it was put in the microwave. Come on its a bagel, hard to mess up but somehow managed to do just that.

This is a GREAT neighborhood coffee shop. I used to stop frequently when I lived in the area. The neighborhood needed West Side Perk and they are a great neighbor. I am not that far away so Ill have to stop by more frequently. Do yourself a favor and ditcf $tarbuck$ for West Side Perk.

A coffee shop that doesnt know how to make it. After the second visit, Im not going back. The first visit I ordered two lattes one came out tasting like a macchiato and the other an americano. You cant even argue thats how their lattes taste because we got two at the same time that came out tasting drastically different. Today we got a iced latte that tasted like a iced coffee with cream in a iced chai thats still had some of the powder floating on the top. I only gave this place a second star because theyre one of the only drive-thru coffee shop in west Bloomington.

Went here for the first time today based on other reviews, my husband and I frequent Caribou and Starbucks regularly and wanted to try something new. We had our dog with us so we had to use the drive thru. The drive thru menu is very messy and needs to be updated, we were hoping to order breakfast but the menu was not clear with breakfast options so we opted to go elsewhere and just order coffee (white mochas) at West Side Perk. The coffee was average - not alot of flavor, nothing great. Im not sure well be back, but if we do well plan to go inside to hopefully see a full menu.

I have enjoyed the coffee at West Side Perk, but have only used the drive-thru. I have found it convenient and I like to support local, female-owned businesses However, when I complained that the sprinkle of cinnamon I had asked for was delivered on several occasions as about a teaspoon of cinnamon glop in the bottom of my cup, the owner told me that I should get my coffee elsewhere as I could not be pleased. (Apparently most people who ask for cinnamon want a teaspoon of it congealed in the bottom of the cup??) The next time I was in, she presented me with her research about cinnamon, which said it would not dissolve in water; completely missing the point that it was just Too Much Cinnamon. Although the employees are friendly and helpful, the owner was rude and offensive and appeared unable to take any criticism of her businesss service whatsoever. At her request, I will not be going back, nor will anyone that I know and talk with. This is one business owner with a lot to learn.

There are so many alternatives and choices for coffee shops nowadays. Westside Perk is unique in how it supports the community also in addition to great beverages. They close at 5 so people (customers and employees) can get on with their lives. It has a cool drive through (it used to be a bank branch years ago). The decor is midwestern cozy. In addition to the free wi-fi, there are musicians and authors from time to time to entertain and speak. The walls are filled with local artists work available for sale which changes every month. The shop is available for after hours meetings and events also.

Its a cute shop, and its a NEIGHBORHOOD shop! This is important to me in a world full of chain establishments. Its a small place, but its out of the way enough such that crowding isnt a problem. If it ever gets really popular, theyll have a hard time seating a large group. But, what they do have for seating is warm, inviting, and comfortable. The layout is chopped up, which I live because it offers more privacy - visually and audibly. There is a little family room corner with comfy leather chairs and side tables. There is also a cozy gas fireplace in the corner, though I havent seen it lit yet.The coffee is good, very good. I havent had any of the fancy drinks yet, but the coffee draws me in. I went in there today with my daughter Siri, 2. The owner (pretty sure it was the owner) was in there and took the time to stop over and bring puzzles and books to Siri. Siri sat nicely in her big leather lounge chair next to mine and played with the assortment of kids books, puzzles, and toys while I caught up on what Jeff Bridges is doing via the Esquire magazine in the stack of stuff to read.Siri and I read books, played Pickup Sticks, and a played a few rounds of Connect 4 on the rug in front of the fireplace! Try that at your local Chain coffee shop!Oh, they have a drive-thru too... nice if you want a fast cup o Jo for your commute. This spot used to be a small bank, then it was a Seattle Suttons. Now, I think the coffee shop will bring new life into this staple strip mall (Don Ho Chinese, Zekes, and Scoops Ice Cream are there too.)
