Hidden gem in Bloomington! Really cool mall, but very expensive.

Came here to meet Mr and Mrs claus at the mall

Very difficult to locate the different suites! The numerous directories are confusing as nothing shows where you are except by looking at the numbers at doorways and by then its easy to be turned around. It is truly a maze! Lots of great shops and services along the way. 🙃

I’m from out of town and went to explore this mall because it seemed unique. My boyfriend and I walked out a door that said “exit” and “John Waldron Arts Center” with an arrow pointing out the door. It lead into a fenced in alley way between the mall and the art center. We tried to go through the door at the art center. The art center’s door was locked and the door we had just came through locked behind us. We were stuck. All doors were locked. Even the one leading to the street. A person walking by, when requested for help, he wouldn’t and said he wasn’t from there. We eventually got freed by my boyfriend scaling the wall and jumping down, going back through the building and letting me out.There are no signs posted that the door auto locks and hours are not posted. There are no signs out the door listing a number in case you get stuck.We eventually found a security guard, she was really nice. She did say she’ll talk to maintenance and they’ll put a sign up. But just in case they don’t, I wanted to leave a review to warn anyone else.

I love the history of downtown Bloomington and always enjoy my periodic visits to Fountain Square Mall; especially around the holidays. Each year we bring the kids here to visit Santa, and we always make a point to walk around and marvel at all the beautifully displayed Christmas decorations. I definitely recommend this place to anybody interested.

Nice building, clean and a nice amalgam of past and present archetecture.

A nice variety of shops and restaurants nearby. Mostly office spaces, but there are some interesting little shops and the space is nicely decorated in the winter for Christmas holidays. Parking garages are located in the north side of the square and metered parking locations (which are free after 9 p.m. and on Sundays) are usually free around the square or the neighboring side streets.

There could beore of a variety of shops. It seems like everything became expensive clothing stores.

Fountain Square is my favorite spot in Bloomington. It hosts an amazing game store and a sweet ice-cream shop in the basement. I love visiting there with my son and enjoy shopping there during the holidays to support local business.

A great place to look at some local businesses and u unique stores

Whether you live in town or you are just visiting, the Fountain square mall is such a cool place to spend a few hours. There are so many small local businesses that sell things you wont find anywhere else. It still has the same retro style it had many years ago which just adds to the whole experience. My girlfriend and I frequent this mall whenever we are near the square.

Nice remodel back in the 90s. If you have money to burn go there. Clean, cool and friendly.

A small number of shops but well worth a visit if youre looking to stroll through the Bloomington market. I never knew Bloomington has an Escape room until I saw one there.

A place I go to feel nostalgia

We only visited one shop, Skirt and Satchel, on this visit. Found a beautiful dress and fun shirt for my daughter at reasonable prices. The sales person was very friendly and helpful.

When you shop local, you get friendly service and good deals!

Thoughtfully connected, beautiful, old buildings make up this landmark. Lots of art, culture and different kinds of shops.

Great place to look around. I enjoy the old industrial feel. Also, I really like how they decorate for the holidays.

Delightful downtown mall gracefully blends the feel of the small town courthouse square with a surprising array of sophisticated shops and businesses. The beautiful, high ceilinged red brick halls host art, local history, and informative kiosks. Very easy access with many entrances and attached parking. They even have a top-floor ballroom for special events. The holiday decorations each year are legendary and make holiday shopping a special experience.

By hand gallery is always a treat to visit. If you are looking for a unique gift made by local artists this is your place.

Love the decor and history, seems more like an office building on the inside more than anything. The stores/shops are varied and offer much to many tastes.

Theres not too much inside here. The cafe downstairs is great. Very tasty food. Nice game store as well.

Great local winery, knowledgeable, pleasant employees. Wines for every taste and pocketbook.

I was just at Stefanos this morning having a coffee. Love this place. The owner and staff are superb.

Not a lot there. A handful of old and very specific shops. All very pricey. Visited several times but have never purchased anything. Often feels like a ghost town.Game Preserve is cool but very expensive

I pretty much always visit either briar and burly or the game preserve when I go here. Those two shops are awesome

Didnt even stay long enough to meet santa line was way too long. Idk how they expect children to wait. My 2 yr old didnt last 10 minutes

I play in the Bloomington Brass Band and while on stage it was one of the best lighting festival nights ever. Thanks to all who help make this event happen!

Nice center. Recently been cleaned up by the city and has a number of good shopping, dining, and entertainment options nearby.

Many interesting shops and a little cafe. Local art, games, clothes, tobacco pipes and other boutique stores.

There are quite a few little shop within the Fountain Square Mall one of my favorites though is The Downtown Chiro Trent Anderson whos a chiropractor and one of the best around!!

Very beautiful building with lovely art and the most amazing shops. Definitely a must do in Bloomington

All sorts of interesting stuff, from sporting goods to an escape room. Definitely recommend.

This is a good zone for hanging out with the boys.

There really wasnt much there that was interesting. The game store was good, but other than that it was pretty boring. The structure and decor were nice though!

Not much here really appeals anymore. The game store is terrible now, the yarn store moved and is now really snotty. The clothing stores are overpriced. The only place that really is nice is Stefanos. Parking is awful. I really dont think that everyone should have to pay to park to shop or work there.

I like this mall. Cool cafe downstairs, well cared for, lots of little shops, and the decorated it nicely for the holidays.

Ecclectic shops, great gift shopping, many offices and services, super nice gathering space accessed by glass elevator. A true gem!

There are some great shops at Fountain Square. Game Preserve is awesome, there are two local art shops, Briar and Burley has your high quality tobacco products. The malls claim to fame though, in my opinion...best public restroom in Bloomington. You find yourself downtown and gotta drop a deuce then you gotta visit this place.

There isnt much here other than a couple stores that sell slightly overpriced handmade objects and/or boutiques.

Not as easy to visit since Bloomington went against Cooks advice about parking.

The main reason I go to Fountain Square is to visit The Briar & The Burley, one of my favorite stores in Bloomington.

Theres a really nice deli in the basement. Otherwise it feels like a gentrified mausoleum of a shopping center hanging on past its time.
