Locally owned. Local people. Hoosier helpful.
Great service, friendly. No hassle return!
Friendly, helpful, went out of their way to help me with building my deck. They gladly ordered parts that were not in stock. Was able to return special ordered parts I didnt need with absolutely no hassles. Is a pleasure to buy from them.
Im partial to mom and pop places, and if theres such-a-thing in the world of lumber and hardware, this would be one. The staff is helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and sometimes charming! They pretty much had, or we ordered, what I needed.
Great locally owned lumber store! Been going here since my father was taking me with him back in the 70’s. Friends worked there through the years and the have always been helpful and friendly!
As a consumer, this was one of the worst experiences of my life. Most of the operation is utter chaos. Just one example of this is that ordered products were lost multiple times in the store. The wrong products were ordered multiple times, and then I was told I would need to do the work to separate wood for pick up. (I declined.) One salesman repeatedly failed to order product over the course of months despite being asked 5 or 6 times and we had to order product elsewhere. This same salesman sent accusatory, hostile emails filled with blatant lies when we respectfully requested to change locations and salesman.Charges were incorrect, accounting was a mess, and we had a huge pallet of wood sitting in their lumberyard for a month undetected- during inventory! To top it off, one pallet of siding was never delivered, yet the president of the company declares that we received all ordered products. What kind of company places the burden of proof for delivery on the customer? I find it very telling that the president repeatedly stated his company was “above board.” Beware folks- you only make such statements when you aren’t “above board”- otherwise your actions speak for your integrity. In fairness, the product itself was outstanding and the delivery drivers were delightful. Unfortunately, this does not make up for such a deplorable customer experience. There is a reason many contractors avoid Bender Lumber- many, in fact! There are other lumberyards in the area. My hope is that this review helps someone else avoid the nightmare of dealing with what we did. Please do note that is FAR from comprehensive; a thorough description of the ordeal would easily fill pages upon pages!
The kind of service you expect at a local hardware store. Great selection of tool and hardware. Lumberyard carries almost anything you will need.
If you want great service, the best materials, and competitive prices, this is the place to go.
Great prices, service and selection.
Nice place but if you have to make a phone call to contact them they need to work on answering their damn phones
A very good place for all your building needs, very friendly and helpful staff
Great customer service. They go above and beyond to get you what you want. Much much better than Lowes or Menards.
These folks will treat you right. On time delivery and the$$$ is right!
Rude management. Overpriced. If I could give less than 1 star, I would. Don’t go here.
