The service is usually atrocious. They need more staff. I cant ever get help when I need it. They try to answer my questions while making over other clients. As such, they can only answer simple questions. If someone is available, they make it seem like Im interrupting them. If I all a question that they think is simple, their answer suggests that I should know that. There are a few helpful staff members, but overall, I wouldnt come here if you need help. The lines are also very long at times, with only 1 cash register. Other mac locations give you a sample our two, but they dont do that here.

I am surprised by the previous negative reviews. All of the employees were very helpful and attentive to myself and the other customers in the store. They were not pushy or hovering and helped me find a lip liner I wanted.Thank you ladies!

I am a loyal MAC customer. However, the staff SUCKS!! They are always under staff. Their customer service is awful. They definitley need a workshop class on how to treat customers and how to provide excellent customer service. Lastly, their attitude sucks until you start spending money...then theyre best friends with you.

I am a loyal MAC customer, but when I brought my sister in to introduce her to the products, what we experienced could hardly be called customer service. We had to ask to be served, our make-up artist continued to walk away during the make-over, despite other available staff, she took it upon herself to answer the phone, greet other customers in the middle of questions, and run the cash register for other clients and stylists. We had to watch other clients be treated better than us. Even the two teenage boys looking for black eyeliner were attended to quicker and with better over all service. Looks like we will no longer be MAC customers.

Miss this place. The staff was always helpful & courteous. I have moved out of state & the MAC options where I am now are limited. If you really need attention try going during the week. It IS the Mall of America....everything is packed on a weekend. I would make an appt if you need a lot of help & can only get there on a weekend. But I went here regularly since they opened & yes some days it is crazy busy but the staff has always been very helpful.

7/20/19 I was about to meet PITBULL when I needed some make up to look and feel 100%.....oh wait.I traveled 1,200 miles to see the MOA,more so M.A.C. My husband made sure we dedicated time to this experience. My time there was not what I had hoped for, and in fact the worst experience Ive had within all the M.A.C stores. I walked in, browsed all areas and was not greeted or assisted in anyway. I was overlooked by a middle aged white woman that entered the store after me. I got my items and was ready to leave, to cash out took time as well. Im faithful to Rubywoo and Black track fluidline, but this experience made me question my loyalty. Hire more staff, or convert the store to M.A.C kiosk. Read your reviews, Im NOT the only one!

I saw the reviews talking about the stuck up staff and didnt really think much about it. I was so wrong. I went there today and wadded through the individuals hovering around the lipstick aisle. I was determined so I found the color I wanted. I approached the counter and was totally ignored by two of the staff members until I practically yelled at the lady to get her attention. She finally went and got my lipstick and checked me out. I went over to Sephora and spent about 10 times as much. I think I will purchase on line from now on.

I went here on Oct. 2nd this year and the store was totally empty, which I thought was weird after coming out of a packed Sephora. I had no idea this store apparently has a reputation for being awful? But when I walked in I was by myself and only made it two steps before one of the girls nearly ran me over. She was SUPER eager to help me and made me a little uncomfortable (she was way taller than me and stood very close, nothing she said), but she was very sweet. The other employees were hanging out in a group at the back of the store and didnt seem to care.

Store could definitely use more staff, but those that are there work really hard to make sure everyone is assisted. I have been helped by Brigitte multiple times, and she is extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

I asked for a makeup tutorial and was told that I could only get one with an appointment only and I had to make a minimum purchase of $15. I told the rep that I wanted a tutorial for my graduation look this Saturday. I then stated I would do it on my own since I didnt have an appt. I ended up buying 3 products which totaled $108!! When I got home, I was excited to try out my new makeup and practice applying the makeup. I opened the box and it was the wrong color!! I couldnt use it at all! I called the store, spoke to a manager and was told that they only thing they could do is exchange it for the right color. I asked what they would do to compensate me for this error since I specifically told the rep I needed this makeup to practice that night and create the look I wanted for my graduation day. She couldnt offer anything! The least she could have done was offer a tutorial upon my exchange or a makeup sample since the employee pretty much ruined my night with her lack of attention to detail!! I am returning everything and getting my money back.I am going to buy my makeup from Sephora. I still love Mac as a company but the MOA location is totally off of my list. I dont like the stuck up attitudes and lack of customer service!

Staff seems stuck up, never enough people working or enough room to move around. Some staff have a know it all attitude, once I asked for a baby pink lipgloss the woman said they didnt carry that color, only for me to look on the display and find the color. She could have looked first before writing me off. However MAC still has great, spendy but worth it products. I will think twice about visiting this location again, especially if your looking to try and buy new products. The customer service just isnt there.
