The gang at WWA have always done an outstanding job for me. They are courteous and very professional and make sure you auto is completed the best it can be. They look out for other issues that may cause you problems down the road. The work is very good! The cost is pretty high but a reflection of the work and time they put in. You can use other cheaper places but I have seen their work is worth the price.

Once again WorldWide Auto impressed me with their honesty, professionalism, and timely completion of my needed repairs. I took our SUV in for an inspection, service for 100k mikes, and general maintenance (oil change and TPM light diagnosis and/or sensor fix). They found the sensor was not needing replacement after airing up the spare tire and a software reset (saving me money), followed the Toyota guidelines to flush and replace the coolant, and changed the oil. They saved me more money by not charging me for an unnecessary tire rotation which shows their honesty and integrity. During the inspection they identified a mangled shroud that could have caused issues with the gas tank. They quickly found the part (only one in the US at the time) and got it replaced in 24 hours as we needed the vehicle for a weekend camping trip. And we were able to save $30 from an email received from the company as a return customer. Zach is very responsive, informative, and professional. I can say this is one place I trust that I can take my vehicles and not have any concerns.
I have an old VW Beetle; a 2007, to be exact. The body is in excellent condition, but yeah, its old and I get it. VW Beetles are a pain in the a** to work on. Im also the third owner of this car, and its pretty high mileage. However, the previous owners used to bring it into this shop, so I thought I would try it. They were not rude to me, but they made it VERY clear they had no interest in dealing with me or my car, as if I were bothering them by even asking them to look at it. They essentially told me it was going to be too expensive to be worth repairing before they even looked at the car. Okay, yeah, they are probably right, but I still paid them for their time. Heres the other thing: they ripped the drivers seat, and never said anything about it. Maaaaaybe they didnt notice it, but the whole transaction just felt gross and dismissive and when I get another car (that wont be a Beetle, since Ive learned how much people hate working on them) I know where I wont take it.
They are very professional but a little expensive. Not sure what their hourly rate is but it has to be close to a dealers rate. Definitely worth taking your business here.

This is one of the few places in town that seems to specialize in foreign cars so I called them before buying a used VW with the TDI engine. Even though I am not a customer, yet, they took the time to talk with me about expected maintenance costs, their experience with these engines (and the emissions fix), and general advice. It was the best customer experience I have had in a very long time from any business.
I have brought both a previously owned 07 Audi S4 and my wifes current vehicle, a 17 Toyota 4Runner, to World Wide for service after having a terrible experience with the local dealerships - Royal Audi and Royal Toyota. I love this shop. Theyve done great work on my previous 12 year old car (still running) and my new one. Assessments are honest, work is solid, and the lobby is a pleasure to wait in with a friendly staff and a lovely view. The prices may be just a little higher than some other shops, but I think they are worth it because they help support eco-friendly practices. Also, they support WFIU, and that always gets my business. :-)
A very knowledgeable repair place for any type of automobile
Wanted to charge me over $1000 to change the valve cover gasket on my car. When asked why it would be that expensive, they told me they would have to take off the intake manifold - which is factually incorrect.Not sure if they were trying to take advantage, or were just ignorant of the specifications of the car. Either way, not something I want from my mechanic.Ended up doing the job myself. It was relatively easy and the parts cost around $130 dollars.

Everyone was polite and personable. No one tried to sell me parts or services that I didnt need, my issues were taken care of without any true disruption to my normal day, their shuttle driver was really nice, and they even put in that extra effort to contact my third party tire insurance company that reimbursed me for my services!

They take the time to answer all your questions and will NOT recommend work that is not needed. The ONLY auto repair service in Bloomington I have found that I fully recommend. I have been to many since 1998 that are sub par at best.

The service is timely and the price is always fair -- more importantly, the feedback you get is always honest and thoughtful. I remember the time Don told me, Lets put it this way. This doesnt need to get fixed right away, but I wouldnt let my daughter drive it out of town either! That is the kind of information you really need when you are in a tight financial situation.PS I love the green business, too!!!

I have taken my car to World Wide before and have loved the service overall. Unfortunately this last time, I was severely unimpressed.I arrived to drop off my car at 9am and talked with a woman who was pleasantly unaware of my air conditioning issue and tire rotation, which I had discussed on the phone when scheduling my appointment. It didnt concern me too much, I just figured they had a notation issue and I cleared it up upon check-in.After a nice ride to work, 4pm rolled around with no call from World Wide. I do work for a by-appointment service so I understand that my car could have been waiting for an external issue, but I was disappointed that I had to initiate communication just an hour before they closed. The gentleman I got on the phone informed me that my car was just now being seen and that he would call me back after they knew more. Perhaps this is normal, but why would I need to drop off my car at 9am when it was going to be seen at 4pm? This is not very efficient, but I let him know I would look forward to his call.Around 4:30, I had a personal issue come up, which required me to make last minute plans for travel. So I called World Wide again about my car, worried that I would not be able to get it back before they closed the shop. The same gentleman picked up the phone, and I informed him that something came up and asked if my car would be ready by 10am the next day if they needed to keep it overnight. He ignored me and launched into a monologue about the condition of my car. I had to ask twice more before he finally answered me with a no. The no itself wasnt disappointing, I was more appalled that the man completely ignored my question when I was obviously distressed and in a hurry.After clearing up that I would then need my car before they closed, I then had to find a ride (they did not offer the shuttle to me) and ultimately paid $100 for them t to top off air in my tire, and to tell me my AC was broken. $100 for 30 minutes. My tires were also not rotated. Perhaps I was unprepared for the amount of money that goes into looking at a car for half an hour.Ultimately, I am very disappointed with the lack of service and flabbergasted by the communication skills of the people employed there. I will be entrusting my car to another auto service.
Best foreign car shop in the area. Weve been customers for over 25 years. Maybe a bit pricey, but worth it.
Worldwide fixed my overheating truck and was extremely friendly in the process, even offering a free shuttle for pickup/drop off. They told me what they planned to do and got my approval to do it. The final cost was about $10 LESS than they quoted me and it was ready 2 days earlier than they projected. I suspect I could find a cheaper alternative if I was willing to risk less qualified and professional work. I have tried that in the past and sometimes won and sometimes lost. At worldwide I believe they do absolute first rate work and charge and fair price for it commensurate with the level of quality and detail.--UPDATE: I went back to get my truck inspected and have any work done that would ensure it will run as long as possible. Its a 1999 Frontier I got in Florida with zero rust and only about 100K miles. I told them to inspect the brakes, the undercarriage, the bed from above and below, the engine, just anything they can think of that will help me make this thing last another 100k or 200k. And I asked them to call before doing any work.I got a call the work was done, which surprised me because they never called to let me know what they planned to do. When I went in to pick it up, all they had done was change the oil. That was a problem because I change the oil myself, using full synthetic oil. They did not. Its not good for a vehicle to use synthetic and then switch to a non-synthetic, but they assured me I would be okay because its a partial synthetic. OK, but why no call and no comments on what they found when they looked over the truck to do proactive maintenance? I have no idea. I do know their typical customer has been excellent so maybe this was an aberration.--UPDATE 2 [Feb 2018]: Just went in for maintenance. There was an alarming sound that I thought could mean the engine was in danger, so I brought in because I suspected they really could identify it and would be honest about it. I think they did and were. The identified it as a problem belt and broke down the labor and parts on the phone. They mentioned elective work that could also be done proactively and I said yes to some and no to some. They gave me no grief and when I got the truck back it drove like it was new. Staff was very friendly.--The lady who works the desk is a real gem and will give you the friendliest and most professional service in the city.

They seem super honest here. Their hourly rate is a bit steep but I feel like they do good work so Ive taken my cars there on multiple occasions.
World Wide Automotive is great in terms of professionalism, ambiance, and making the customer feel comfortable. However, I just cant get past their costs for services. The inspection fee was much higher than I was used to (which was ok given that I had some serious issues with my truck). Then when they came back, their price was way beyond acceptable for the services rendered, and their analysis was weak. I would go on with specifics, but this is just a brief review. My experience was that for their services, the price was way more than it should have been. My advice is to keep shopping around, especially if the price seems off base.
My 2006 Lexus IS250 quit running and I had it towed to Worldwide as I had no other option. After a few days, they told me that the exhaust camshaft was not moving, timing chain was broken, excessive leakage in cylinder #2, #4, #6 and that major engine damage has occurred. Recommend engine replacement. My car has less than 96,000 miles on it, so for only $6,600, they would replace the engine with a used engine with 91,000 miles on it and give me a 12,000 or 1 year warranty. A relative after hearing my problem, recommended another mechanic so I had it towed to that company. Worldwide charged me $380 for nothing. After checking my car out, the new mechanic told me that there was no engine damage and the only problem was that the timing chain was broken. After only $1026, my car is running like new!

These guys are especially good at Prius repair -- the owner is a Prius enthusiast who has bought several for his own family. They are honest but pricey -- expect to pay at the level a car dealership repair shop would charge you.
They told me I needed a new timing chain ($3000), took it to Allroad Motorsports and they told me I needed new timing chain guide rails (considerably less expensive). I had been taking my vehicle to worldwide since I moved here, but no more. The prices were rather high, but I will pay for good service. The straw that broke the camels back was when I realized it’s not really great service. I suggest Allroad Motorsports, they are honest, affordable and reliable. I am in no way affiliated with any of these companies. I am a working class citizen who respects quality workmanship and being treated well. If money is no object, take your vehicle to worldwide.If you prefer honest quality work at a fair price, go elsewhere.
