Great repair shop that helped with with an out-of-state car purchase. Joe was very knowledgeable, friendly and gave me good suggestions on what to watch out for on the vehicle in the future. If I lived nearby these guys would be my 1# choice for any big jobs.

I (21 year old female) was smelling gas in my car, so brought it into TGK Bloomington to get it checked. They thoroughly checked out everything they could think of and eventually kindly told me that I had a bottle of fuel conditioner spilled in my trunk. They called me promptly, offered cleaning suggestions, and I was back on the road the day after I dropped it off. I would 10/10 recommend this place to all of the other young people in the area looking for a safe, reliable place to take your car.

My family and I were on a long road trip a few days ago when the check engine light in our vehicle happened to turn on while we were passing through Bloomington. My family and I are so grateful that our car started stalling where it did and that TGK was nearby because they truly blessed us that day. We were there before they opened and when they arrived they let us know they were already busy for the day and short staffed but were willing to help us anyways! Chad let me know he would help us in the most efficient way and he absolutely did! From price to the time it took us to get back on the road! He explained the problem and the solution perfectly. He also made sure to have us test drive our vehicle in town before heading back on the road to make sure the problem was fixed. I would highly recommend this place to anyone! If I lived nearby I would only take my vehicles here for any services!!

Just so honest professional and prompt. First time customer and now this is our place to go for all our two vehicles. Very accommodating tech Joe went extra mile to accommodate my car problems. Needed to find new home for our vehicle maintenance due to poor communication at former. We found it at TGK!

Do yourself a favor and only use TGK. Their operations are impeccable from booking, confirmation, auto report sent to you prior to service work and follow up. They are upfront, honest and affordable. I wont ever go anywhere else.

Took car in for a new clutch, whoever worked on it put an engine support bar across the fenders rather than an area that could support the weight of the engine once the transmission was dropped, the fenders were crushed and bent inwards(see photos).They didn’t tell me about the damage and I drove home, noticed the damage and went back, TGK denied doing it. Clearly done by engine support bar that is used when dropping transmissions.I called them out, their response was that they would call me back later, I wasn’t going to leave without an answer. I waited in the parking lot for a half hour before they came out and admitted to doing the damage and attempting to rectify the situation.They had a body shop bend fenders back in to shape, the fenders still have creases in them.I’m also not happy with their clutch replacement, the car shakes in 1st gear and reverse when taking off.I was offended by their lack of care and response to the situation and the cheap repair, I’m so underwhelmed I have to go elsewhere to get the car looked over again and fixed properly.TGK should focus some of company’s energy on customer service, I will not be going back.

TGK Automotive Specialists of Bloomington is the best place that I know who take super good care of you and your vehicle. They go out of their way to get you an appointment to make sure that your car is looked at and they dont cheat youTGK will tell you whats wrong with it and not lie to you when there is nothing wrong with it theyre honest people and theyre great guys in there that work hard to make sure that youre happy. I wont go anywhere else... come check it out for yourself. Ask for either Pete or Alex.

I’ve never recommended a mechanic before, let alone a shop. These guys are amazing! They have consistently shown high integrity! They’re also good at what they do. I’ve been there way too many times after buying a lemon. They’ve helped me so much! If you want a place you can trust, check them out. My experience has been solely at the shop on South Lindale. I can’t speak for the other TGKs.

Mr. Pete Binde and Alex took the time to put my truck on their machine and came to find no problems what so ever with my truck. Mike and Chad took it for a drive and heard no noises or rattling. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Those guys are absolutely the best!

Great shop easy to work with once again TGK comes through 5 star service and now there a/c works too was in need of a oil change on service van and they got it done with the heat wave we too have to neglect some basic maintenance but they went above and beyond to keep up up and running

I got a coupon in the mail for a $19.95 oil change so I thought I would check them out. I was so impressed with the staff, cleanliness of the waiting area, updated technology and they did my oil change and air filter in 30 minutes. When I go to the dealership I’m there for like 2 hours and it’s $60 for the oil change. I’ll be back and hopefully the dog will be there 😃

Excellent service! I brought my truck in for brakes after a failed attempt by a novice. I explained that I was hoping to get them done by the end of the week since I was heading out of town. They said they could do them that day! I left the truck and had it back within hours with new brakes all around. Now the truck is back to riding the way it should. Their prices were very fair, especially on such short notice, and they were very friendly and accommodating up front. I will absolutely use them again in the future.

Came in for an oil change and they were able to diagnose that I had a loose tie rod. Very kind and professional. I had some work that I wanted to set up and was able to. I was expecting there more to be wrong with the car, along with needing, what I thought was 4 new tires and I only needed 2 tires. It just showed me that they’re all about fixing what’s wrong and not trying to find extra things to charge me for. I had the alignment done on my 2006 Honda Pilot. The front-end staff and techs were kind and the customer waiting space was clean. I watched the tech do the alignment for educational purposes, and they seemed knowledgeable in their work. As they concluded the alignment, the tech stated he could not complete the job due to rust, and my back right tire was not aligned. I asked for their recommendation on what to do, and they stated the only effect will be more ware on that tire. I do not think that is an acceptable answer since I went to get a job done, and not much was done to solve the problem they faced with my vehicle. When I went to pay I requested to not pay the full amount since the job was only competed at 75%. They denied my request. I paid the full amount and left.I went to Green Line Auto in St. Paul, and though they faced the problem TGK Automotive faced, the tech was able to complete the job, and now my vehicle is fully aligned.

I have a 2005 vehicle so its nearly 13 years old and would not recommend anyone else but TGK in Bloomington . I had a long list of things that my vehicle needed from a previous well-known shop. When the team looked at the list I was given they were more than happy to help and they actually found a very significant issue that needed immediate care, something the previous shop had missed! With the rest of the list still needing to be done they gave me a timeline of what to do and when so I could budget accordingly! They were super friendly and to the point! I appreciate their service and after 13 years I stopped looking for the whole package in a service team because these are my guys!

Brought my parents car in for a check over. Ryan called me to let me know the brakes needed to be replaced. Was surprised by the price. I expected it to be more. After calling 24 other locations to obtain urgent service on my 5th wheel trailer within a day or two notice, Ryan gave us an appointment the very next morning and they fixed the problem that day. We did not have to delay our trip like we would have had to do at other places we called. The service was great and the price was reasonable. They even provided electrical service to power our refrigerator during repair. We later found out that friends of ours have taken their car here for service and repairs for years and have been very satisfied.We highly recommend!

Brought my wifes car in for tires. I spoke with Matt who gave me a quote on a good set of mid-range, all-season tires. Techs that I dealt with were very polite and professional. I left there feeling like a got the best bang for my buck. Will be bringing my Diesel there for service too. Pretty sure I found a place for my vehicles to go when I cant do the work.

This place is friendly with high quality service. This was my first experience with this business. I took a car here for a 100 point inspection before purchasing it. I had my 8 month old son with me. I was a little worried about time waiting with an 8 month old, but they were done with my car in a short period. They gave me a great report on the used car. I walked away with no fear of purchasing the car. I highly recommend this place to everyone who is near by. If it is your first time, watch out for their small sign. I missed it at first, but found it on the second go around.

These guys are great. I feel like they’re the only honest mechanics in town. The Stealership told me I needed an alignment badly, so I took it here and they told me I did NOT need an alignment. The TGK team said it was off by less than 1/100th of a degree. By not doing a job I didn’t need, they’ve earned my business for routine work I do need.

We came to Minneapolis on vacation from Missouri. Started hearing a noise and took our car to 2 mechanics who said it would be over a day to diagnose the issue. After Discount Tire said it wasnt a tire issue, they referred us here. Ryan got our car looked at within an hour. He got the problem cleared through warranty and fixed within another hour. These guys saved us SO much money so we didnt have to Uber around a city where we dont know anyone.

Our boat trailer broke down and Bryant stayed late to help us get back on the road. Thanks to Pete for getting us what we needed!
