Dishonest shop. Took my tire there to get plugged due to a nail, they told me it was un repairable and that I would need to replace the tire. Tried to overcharge me for the tire saying it would be 170-250 for a new or used tire. Took the tire back from them and went to a different shop where they fixed the tire almost immediately. Also had a tire for me there used for $40. Wouldn’t recommend this shop to anyone in the area. Got the tire fixed for $20. Seemed like nice staff but will try to take advantage of you if given the chance. Always get a second opinion. Steer clear from this shop. Dishonest and just trying to make an extra buck off your inconvenience.

While traveling across Illinois going to Michigan we blew a tire on our dually pick up. Since we had a camper on the truck, I decided it would be best to replace all four back dually tires to avoid a repeat blow out. We were near Bloomington and wanted to get on the road asap. Found out from a local that Don Owen Tire was THE Place in Bloomington. I called and the salesman said they had the tires and could install them in about an hour. It was like we were home dealing with our local shop. The price was very reasonable. A very good professional local shop. I would recommend them to anyone looking for great service and reasonable prices. Fast and efficient, just great all around guys to work with. Thank you Don Owen Tire for getting us on our way.

Bob was AWESOME! My car required a special tire to fit on a high profile wheel(Rim) This was late Friday and I had to get back on the road( I had to travel 500 miles) and that particular tire wasnt even available new so I had to settle for a used one. No problem...The work was done the next Saturday morning early.They didnt gouge me on the price and labor and the work was done with expert care. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff and Steven my tech was great, Do not waste your time going to Discount Tire. I spoke with some clown there and wasnt at all helpful. Go see Bob at Don Owen...Youll be glad you did!! Oh and by the way I dont even live in Bloomington Illinois.

The staff was so pleasant to work with. They were busy, but no patron was made to feel rushed or unappreciated. Quality work too!

Great place to get your car worked on and new tires

Brought a flat tire in to have it changed off the rim. Sat around for over 2 hours listening to the soap opera that is the service counter. If you ask about wait time for them to change a flat tire and they say “it will only be a little while” take that tire elsewhere unless you have a bunch of time to kill.

Dropped off a rim to have a tire put out on. Called them 5 hours later, they said it would be done by 5:30. Went the next morning to pick it up. They couldnt find the ticket, then they told me it wasnt done, come back in a couple of hours. Are kidding me. Took my rim and left. Will never make the mistake of going there again

A local neighborhood business, that was established in 1986. Every single person there is so friendly and very congenial. The fellas are professional, always address you by name, always answer the phone in a friendly voice and professional manner, and are reasonably priced. I would recommend them highly!

Don Owen tire has always been great. It doesnt matter what tire it is they seem to have it or can get it quickly.They fixed my trailer tires for a very reasonable price and one I wasnt sure could be fixed but they did it.

I cannot recommend Don Owen enough! We were stuck on I-39 about an hour north of Bloomington with our 40 foot horse trailer after 2 tires blew out. We called different stores an hour in every direction, and Don Owen was the only one who had tires for our trailer and willing to come perform road side service. The technician was on time according to the time estimate given, was professional, friendly, and went above and beyond! He not only mounted and put on our two new tires, but he helped us figure out what the wires were that the tires destroyed when they blew out (brakes), checked the tire pressure on all of our trailer tires and our truck and topped them off for us. Excellent customer service! I seriously cannot recommend them enough! They were an answer to prayer!

They have the best burritos in town. I ask for the biggest burrito they had. They gave me this enormous delicious burrito that was almost two feet long!!! It was awesome

We were traveling with a camper and blew a tire in the middle of the night. Our spare was dry rotted so we could not go far. The next morning we phoned the Empire St. location and they did have the tire we needed however, when finding out where we were they sent us to the Olive St. Location which was much closer. When we arrived they were extremely busy but they other location had called ahead and told them what we needed and that we were on our way. They had already started getting our tire ready and were prepared to put it on upon our arrival. They were very caring, professional and helpful. They even had a courtesy driver take my husband to an auto store for a fuse we needed at no extra charge! This is type of service was a true blessing!

So went in for some pretty basic service, tire rotation and alignment. Couple hours pass, I get a voicemail stating list of problems. All totaling out to 1800 bucks or so. Obviously not a call you expect to get going in for 125 dollars worth of work. Upon calling, I was given the specific parts needed. Now, being Im not the most mechanically inclined. As the repairs needed were being told to me, I did begin to panic Until..... they brought up a specific repair. Now the key thing about this repair, is I had just recently had it done. By my personal mechanic who does all my work and is very reputable around here. So, took the quote, drove up the road. My mechanic took a look, and what do you know. Everything I was told needed to be replaced or was soon its way to needing it. Turned out to be absolutely fine, and not just that. Upon pulling up the specific parts on the system, I was shown to be getting double, and in some cases triple charged on the same parts my mechanic uses. Folks, my mechanic would have done it all for 750. If the repairs I was quoted actually needed done. Stick to the 15 dollar tire rotations

I went in at the last minute for an oil change and a tire rotation and they got me right in. I waited on my vehicle so I got a since of the atomospher and their service was fast. They kept me aware of the findings that were found during my service and what was discovered. They made recommendations about it and helped me develop a plan for what to do about the things they dont work on at that shop. This was a big help because I have no knowledge about cars. The cost was fair! The only thing I would say about them is they need to update the waiting area it was dimly lit. Oily in appearance. But I didnt come to eat. So I didnt subtract because of that.

Friend brought in their vehicle for tires, when returned they tried to inform him he needed all ball joints and tie rods, when he had literally just had two of them done. Stop trying to scam people out of their money. Honesty and integrity get you a lot further in life than greed and lies. Needless to say he told them to take the tires off he wasnt buying anything from them bc of the dishonesty.

Jamie and Sue are personal friends but they treat everyone the same. Ive never had bad service and always leave feeling like I got a good value.
