I went in for a headlight issue, not just to replace the bulb. Molly was at the service desk and got me checked in quickly, and explained everything the service tech was doing during the diagnosis. I waited for them to finish and Molly checked to see if I needed anything. Very pleasant and professional! I’ll definitely go back for future service needs!

We had an 11:00 appointment we showed up and Molly explained to us that everything was kind of running behind and they still got us in in a timely manner and they really took care of the inside of the car with protective coverings. The oil change itself was done in a timely manner, the car was pulled up by the door, Molly had done had everything set up for my check out and all I had to do is pay the bill and out the door went. This was my first time at Clay Dooley and they treated me very well! I called to make sure they had availability to fix my AC and they were so friendly. Told me to come by at any point so I got there right away and they were transparent through the whole process. The AC in their lobby went out but they did everything they could to keep me comfortable while waiting for my car. I’m impressed by their customer service and will definitely be coming back!

My car broke down and Clay Dooley was the nearest shop so I was towed there. Even though they were more than able to help me, when they found out my car was still under warranty they advised me to tow it to my nearby dealership to save some $. Such honesty! Wow! These guys gave immediate attention to my flat tire. They found a literal spike that had punctured the right rear tire and were willing to have someone go right there and then to get a new one. When I discovered the tire was covered at another shop, they patched it so I could get across town to get it fixed. They spent 30 - 45 minutes, were thorough, transparent and careful to consider my safety. And after all that, they asked me to pay them NOTHING! They are located just next to another well known shop in town that would never do that. This is the place to go for tire and auto service...accent on service! THANKS JEFF!

My car died. It felt fuel related. Towed to Clay Dooleys for diagnostics. I was told it was MAF sensor. They pulled a $1000 sensor online and told me it would be a little over a grand to replace and that might not even be the problem. I denied repair. Questioned the reps about the fuel pump, injectors, and fuel sender and they said they didnt check it because the computer said MAF. Fuel gauge showed quarter tank but I truly felt it was fuel related. Picked up 2 gallons of gas in a gas can and poured it in. Sounded like gas hitting a dry tank. Primed a few times on start and the car was up and running. Turns out fuel sender was bad. Car is fine, just need to track mileage until sender can be replaced. I was almost duped into spending over $1000.00 on a part that is working fine. The sensor is also online for $55.00...The reps were nice but the service was terrible. I paid $69 for them to spend 5 seconds with a code reader and they didnt look for any other causes. I cant even be sure a code reader was used as the MAF sensor is working fine. I was lucky my observations and reasoning were correct and that I didnt trust Clay Dooleys diagnotics test.There was no true attempt to solve the problem for a return customer. Would not recommend.

I went for oil chance and wheel balancing. Overall a very good experience but one thing they forgot to do is to reset the oil change information on the car. I had to manually go into settings to make that change.

Identified a few other areas requiring repair which were essential, thanks for checking the entire car when conducting the oil change so could take care of all other aspects in a timely manner.

The staff were professional AND genuinely helpful. They had a cancellation and were willing to check my battery while I waited. They were able to obtain a battery, replace it, and get me back on the road in about an hour. The waiting room was pleasant and still made me feel safe during a pandemic. I also felt like their prices were fair and equitable. I would highly recommend their services to anyone in town!

A week ago CD replaced the rear pinion seal and changed oil in my FG150. I have driven 42 miles and the leak is much was now! I will take the truck in Friday and I hope the seal works when replaced a second time.In addition today the CD office staff is not following IL state guidelines re: wearing masks indoors to avoid spreading Covid. Please advise them to wear a mask as children are at a high risk!!!!

Had some expensive repairs, which could have been more but technician was careful to replace catalytic converter without damaging the rest of my aging exhaust system. They will tell you the truth and help you prioritize what has to be done and what can wait. Empolyees are very friendly and treat you well. Highly recommend!

After rotate and balance, found 2 lug nuts came off on rear, 3rd almost off. All lug nuts loose on rear tires. They replaced the 2 missing lug nuts and tightened them, but never got an apology. Could have been bad accident if tire came off.

We have been taking our cars to Clay Dooley for years. They are always friendly, honest, fair, and do a good job. When we had issues with our Atlas, Derek went to bat with the dealer twice for us to get work covered under warranty. This last time the dealer did not find the source of an oil leak but Clay Dooley did. We were able to take it to the dealer then and get it covered before our warranty expired. I am disappointed in the service of my Jeep Grand Cherokee. You had my car for two full days charging me almost $1000 and there is still fluid on my garage floor. I am going to be inconvenienced again today without a car. I understand fluid leaks are sometimes hard to fix but I can’t imagine working on it for two days and still is not corrected.I recommended your shop to my niece whose car broke down on I55. You had the car all day and said they couldn’t find the problem. My niece took her car right to the Honda dealer when they got back home and he diagnosed the problem immediately.I hope you make this right . I went in for a mystery engine light, they figured it out quickly, checked to make sure my extended warranty covered it, found another issue I didn’t even know about, fixed it too, and I was back on the road. They were very friendly and professional not only to me, but to everyone else who came i while I was there. The waiting area is very nice and clean, and they offered drinks to everyone waiting. I always thought of them as a tire place, but I really think they may be my new ‘car guys.’

Had a tire blow out and was just able to pull in their lot before it was totally flat. I walked right in and within 15 min they had my spare on and a new tire ordered (could not repair the side damage to tire). Tire was ready the next day and a quick swap (15 min) and I was out the door good as new.

I will never go anywhere else for car repair while I live an hour of this place. Sure, Ive been going here for years but recently they went above and beyond and I am so overwhelmed by how kind they were. I took my car in for an oil change and to get some stuff checked before I took a week vacation in Virginia, turns out I was leaking oil and every step along the way things were coming up that was prolonging the process (which wasnt their fault). I was getting nervous I was going to miss my trip and they were doing all they could to ensure I could go. They were honest with me, gave me updates, and was sincere about the price, but however it was already past when we were going to leave and since they are AMAZING they kindly offered their loaner for us to take on our trip to Virginia for a week for no added cost because things were simply just taking longer than anticipated. We brought my daughters 2007 Toyota Camry in for a diagnostic evaluation of some problems that were happening with the transmission. They were very courteous to her upon her arrival and explained the problems she was having. They called me once they had an idea as to what may be going on and needed to re-flash the system as there was a technical bulletin that explained the same problems. Tray was very prompt and honest saying this may or may not work but that the chances were favorable for this to fix the problem but would not know until they did the system re-flash. Tray called me back within 2-3 hours stating that the re-flash did the trick and the car was tested and ready for pick up.I was extremely impressed with not only how fast they were able to do this but also the cost was very reasonable.I would recommend Clay Dooley to anyone that is in the area as I know where I will be going in the future with any other troubles!Thank you again Tray for your awesome service!!

Had to have my car towed here after hitting a pothole and was quoted $870 for a new rim and tire. Discount quoted me $406 for the same rim and tire but I decided to get 4 new aftermarket rims and a new tire for $711 from discount.

Took two vehicles here in a span of 2 weeks. Both had a large amount of oil on the inside and the outside of the vehicles from the workers getting in and out of the vehicles. In one of the vehicles it was so deeply embedded in the fabric that I had to pay for it to be professionally detailed to get it out.Based on the amount of oil on the inside of the doors and center console it is clear that little to no effort was put into not trashing their customers vehicles.I went in to speak with the manager to show them all of the photos and one of the vehicles that still had oil all over it. He was not available when I was there, I provided my contact info for a callback. It’s been 4 days and I have not heard from him.I’ll absolutely be going elsewhere from here on out and you should too.
