I have taken my vehicle here a few times over the last handful of years for repair services. They provide excellent service for a reasonable price and even got creative to save me money on my aging vehicle.

John and other staff are always fantastic. They go out of their way to provide good service and are always extremely fair. I have shopped around as well as used other places when I lived in the north metro, but now that Autopia is convenient for me again I always use them.

Their site said otherwise about a coupon offer, but when I called they said it was no longer valid. Which I suppose made the whole ordeal confusing. As the site claimed one thing and the employee claimed another.

Really great staff & service! We had a tire blow out on our way out of town. They were able to get us in, listened to us, and got us out of town before noon. They dropped us off at our home and picked us up - at no additional charge. Cant say enough good things about this place!

Ive been taking my auto to John and Autopia pretty much since the day he opened. That statement should tell you everything. They are friendly, efficient, and take great care of my car. It is really nice to have the fluids topped off and car washed when they have it. This year, the fifth year owning this auto, I had to ask how to open the hood. That is another example of the great service I have received.

John had worked on my car back in Nov. with a bad battery. Then during the Polar Vortex, my car died again, thinking it was the alternator I brought it in. John did a fantastic job figuring out the actual cause was just a circuit board issue. He could have easily just changed the alternator and charged me upwards of $500 but he stayed honest and saved me loads! Im never taking my car anywhere else!

I have the tools and ability to do most work myself. Sometimes I dont have time, am lazy or not sure. I checked these guys out from that point of view. Not to mention many friends use them and have not bad to say. They go above and beyond. Free car wash with service, ride to work and back to get your car are some examples. Others are very honest, knowledgeable and friendly easy to work.It is always nice to be greeted by the Shop Dog as well. They are My Guys for my whole familys cars.

This is my go to shop to get everything done. Ive been going here the last 5 years, always friendly and professional. Very knowledgable and trustworthy. I like that they will pick you up/drop you off too. The free hand car washes after the work is done is a bonus! A+++!

They do great work at a reasonable price

Went in for an $80 diagnosis on a rattling noise during acceleration. They put off the diagnosis until they barely had any time left, then barely looked at it. Their conclusion was that the A.C. clutch was going bad and they would have to replace my entire A.C. system to fix it. A $1200 repair that should be done soon, because it could seize up and leave me stranded at any time. They also claimed that they were giving me a great deal on labor, while claiming that the parts were twice as expensive as they actually are.Im glad I got a second opinion. The actual problem is that the weld broke on an exhaust flange and was shaking and causing the noise. A $200 repair. This was a simple diagnosis for the other place.In conclusion: always get a second opinion, because Autopia makes their money off of unnecessary repairs...

Spoke to Kim, got a quote for my Jaguar XJ Sport; needed a wheel bearing. Price was best out of 4 places I called. Made appointment, spoke to owner. Got ride to work. When job was done, got picked up by owner. Great service, no extra bull. Highly recommend.

This is a repair shop that you can trust with any car. They serviced our Dodge Ram 1500 and our 1997 Jaguar XJ6. No problem was too big or too small for John and his team of mechanics. We have challenged them with a few issues on the Jag and they managed to find the necessary parts and keep my baby running. Its going on 150,000 miles and purrs like a kitten.

Very small job I needed done fast b4 work; it was a lot to ask considering their full garage, but they took my VW in and repaired it quickly. I like this place.

Brought the car in for an oil change and diagnostic to find the cause of a sporadic stall. They identified and fixed the issue promptly. I checked part cost online against what they billed me; while it was possible to find a cheaper rebuilt part - they didnt mark up the part cost for new and charged me next to nothing for labor.After I picked up the car on my drive to work there was noticeable misfire (confirmed with OBD reading) I called them up and John said to bring it in and theyd take care of me. Hes a man of his word; we couldnt be sure if the issue was caused from the work or not - so they replaced the part in question same day - no hassle necessary.While theyre not bargain basement cheap on price - they are trustworthy and stand behind their work. I spent a lot of time to find an honest mechanic after moving - Im relieved to say I found one.

I own a 2009 BMW 335i xdrive. Its 2017 now and my baby is quickly progressing towards 100k. There is a lot of maintenance and inspection thats needed at the 100k mark and yep, you very likely do not have warranty! BMW is an expensive car to maintain period; therefore, finding the right Indy shop is a MUST!The BMW direct fuel injection system is notoriously faulty. Oil vapor turns into a crusty carbon that blocks up the poor cars intake valves. Feeling the unfortunate symptoms of this led me to call at least 20 Indy shops in the Minneapolis, Apple Valley, & Eden Prairie areas. I was in big need of walnut shell media blasting services/ a nice chemically induced scrubbing to get that nasty carbon out, and besides the dealership, THIS SHOP WAS THE ONLY PLACE THAT RAISED THEIR HAND! Not only that, but the price was as competitive as the people on the BMW forums listed that they had theirs done for! When I went into to meet them today, wow, so friendly. Theres just something about John, hes a particularly friendly soul. Hard to explain! Anyhow, THE CARS pipes are clean now and they provided before and after pics (thanks for that again)! My car runs like magic sauce now! The power at the throttle betwn 1-3 RPMs is back!!! Rough idle, absconded! Fronk (cars name) feels better than he did after the dealership decarb back at 50k! Drives like he did back in 09 and now I shall pester John and his shop with my presence for life! Happy Birthday!

Don’t bring your vehicle here. They gouge you and do unnecessary work. I went in for standard maintenance and they suddenly wanted to replace spark plugs, belts, gaskets, etc. I’ve also been to the one in uptown. No good. Stay away.

Great job repairing my speedometer cluster

I got out of work and noticed a punctured front tire. Autopia was on my way home (the one in Minneapolis on Hennepin), so I stopped in to see if they had time to patch the hole. The shop was closing, but one of the technicians was nice enough to do the job before shutting down. He didnt need to, but he did. Thanks Autopia!

I needed to get a headlamp bulb changed before I got a ticket. I called them and they snuck me in that afternoon, I stopped by, John stopped what he was doing and put a new bulb in and I was on my way. Theyre always my first call for repairs and advice. -JS
